“I dined here with a group of six a couple of weeks ago and everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The portions were very generous, our waiter was attentive, kind and pleasant. The music, atmosphere and ambiance were lovely and the food and desserts were incredible. I ordered food to go last night and met the owner, he was such a wonderful man and very appreciative of his customers. Once again everything was perfect and delicious. I can’t wait to go back soon. I highly recommend that you check out Flames soon.”

Take out or order and eat in the large dining area exquisitely decorated. This is a hidden gem in Monroe. Say hello to Lola - the owner and proud chef. By the way, it's worth a visit just to see the Egyptian Decor and statuary.”

“Always get our King Salmon here! Always order lunch too. The BEST FISH N CHIPS in CT, hands down!!! Better than many other big name seafood places and 1/2 the price. Fish was flaky, melt in your mouth quality. Breading was just right for the thick pieces (2) of cod you get with the meal. We will get fish n chips every time we shop. Wide variety of different offerings that are fresh. Employee (s)/owner incredibly knowledgeable. A go to for holiday time.”

“We had my daughter’s bridal shower at Monroe Social back in June. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Constantin did an amazing job helping me with the planning details. Dave was absolutely amazing the day of the brunch…from set-up until the end! He handled all of our requests, with a big smile on his face to boot! The brunch was delicious. “This is our go-to take out for Indian food in the area. The food is so good and our whole family loves is. My kids ask for the chicken tikka masala and the breads all the time! Small family run restaurant so give them plenty of time to prepare your order. It's worth the wait for how delicious the food is!”

Raj the owner is so kind and we had a lovely chat in their new Southampton location, which has a full bar and a sophisticated and grand dining area. I could taste the difference. But why don't you print this on your slogan, I asked Raj. It is rare to find a pizza shop dedicated to quality ingredients. The flavor of the flour and cheese is so satisfying in taste and in knowing it's the good stuff. In case you did not realize most other pizza shops do not care about this flour quality like Raj of American Pie. Google it. Unbromated flour is flour produced without potassium bromate, a chemical oxidizing agent commonly used to improve dough elasticity but linked to potential health risks, including cancer. It offers a cleaner, more natural alternative that retains natural wheat flavor, often resulting in slightly off-white, robust, and nutrient-dense baked goods perfect for health conscious Pizza Lovers like myself and probably you, too. Plus the cheese! Wisconsin wow. It is NY flat pizza so you probably will not see Michigan based Madonna in the shop, but I hear she does orders from American Pie for her guests. It is really good and I recommend you try it if you are in the Hamptons.”

“This might be the best take out Chinese. The food is made quickly and is always fresh. They have really good boneless spare ribs and lo mein. They also have Chinese tea, chopsticks, and sauce packets available. The owners are friendly. They have a small table to wait at too. Overall excellent Chinese take out.”

“The quest for great Chinese food in the Trumbull area has brought me many places! Bridgeport, Monroe, Trumbull, even parts of Fairfield... but my favorite so far, has been Xiang's Kitchen. It was a recommendation from someone in Easton that brought me here! According to them, Xiang's was the best! And I agree.
I'm a simple man when it comes to Chinese food, just some mild General Tso's, some beef lo mein, and steamed dumplings. Its the occasional dinner takeout. Xiang's has a combination plate with fried rice and an egg roll, which is great. It comes so stacked into that container, they couldn't fit anymore in there. I love it! Prices are decent too and the food is great. Definitely recommend!”

“My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a whim since our first two places didn’t work out. We enjoyed what we got I got a well done bacon egg and cheese and my friend had the Gorgonzola salad. My friend was a huge fan of the salad and even made sure to tell the manager. I would go again to try something else and I know my friend will be back for the salad!”

Service is slow and atmosphere is meh — but who cares? The soup makes up for everything. Highly recommend. But if you’re in a hurry, call ahead & order.”

Despite being a fast casual restaurant, the service was top tier and the food felt like I was right at home.”
