“What a devoted local following! We visited while passing through town and the line was out the door. Their bacon egg and cheese sandwich is pillowy soft & steamy, and their donuts are similarly tender. Boston cream filling was silky and tasted homemade. They have shelves neatly stocked with floury blond sliced loaves and rolls, and their pastry case is full of beautiful cupcakes and a handful of other pastry that I imagine are also good quality. While the line moved a bit slowly, coffee was just okay, and the donut selection was small, they are clearly well-established and serving patrons what they want. Cute place too- a giant dough trough table, huge classic sign and original photos give it a nostalgic touch. The biblical phrases on signs and walls aren’t my cup of tea but it didn’t make my sandwich any less enjoyable!Parking: Tons of parking, especially early morning.“

“Ordered door dash: a lobster tail, sfogliatella, and mini chocolate lemon pies. Everything was good. The lobster tail was amazing, light and nice filling. The kids loved the lemon pies. And the sfogliatella was nice but could use a little more filling however it was still great. It was nice that it was able to be delivered (awesome to not have to drive into New Haven or anywhere else) AND that it was good too.“

“They make the best taralli! And they make many different varieties of taralli. My favorite are the ones with fennel. But they also have red pepper, pepper. There are so many varieties I can't remember them all. Some have a sugar frosting. I eat them like that but they go great with a beer or a glass of wine.“

“I have family in waterbury that we try and visit monthly and this is the first place we stop at each time and believe it or not it is just for the loaves of bread and my brother in law drives all the way from NH to grab just bread for certain occasions.... Much to my surprise there aren't many places that make this type of dessert. However, Amy reached out to me and ultimately made the most delicious cake ever! “I have been going on the weekend getting a slice of buttercream cake. Always happy with that. I was in there Sunday morning and decided to ask about the whipped cream slices. I asked Diane, of of the bakers why whipped cream can taste so different from different places. She was very busy, but she took the time to explain it to me. I asked if I could taste the whip cream, she let me. It was so good I picked up a slice with whipped cream. Problem is now I probably will be buying 2 slices when I go, instead of one. They are so nice here. I usually have Elyana waiting on me. Always smiling and so nice. Anyone else never had has been the same.“

“Hardcore cupcakes are genuinely the best cupcakes I have ever had. The cupcakes are the perfect texture, and they have the perfect amount of moisture. Personally I do not like super sweet frosting on cupcakes, the frosting on these cupcakes is amazing its not too sweet or strong but just right. Every time I've been there the workers are very nice, patient and understanding while I am indecisive about what flavors I want. The actual store is very cool inside the decorations are bright and interesting. I haven't had much other things from here but they do look amazing, and I can't wait to try more!“

There were plenty of whimsical paintings that covered the walls, depicting "bagel people" and small town shops and scenes. Bagel was fresh. We were planning our son's first birthday party with an "Under the sea" theme. Well....I went to check things out. Amazing little bakery. I tried their canolis, custard cups and cream puffs before ordering anything! I figured if they were good then I'll order more! They were Delicious!!! Best ever!! Rui was a complete sweetheart and bounced ideas back and forth with us and would be our main contact through the owner. They were so sweet, reliable and made us trust they'd do a great job!!
