Loved the no MSG comments, and that soup, soda, or egg rolls were optional add-ons and not automatic. Swift friendly service, and sauces and utensils were easily available. Perfect size to eat while I waited for an order at Walmart pickup across the street.“

“We came during a pretty chill time. No wait and service was fast. Food was amazing. I had the braised beef ramen and the char-siu bao. My partner got the vegetable noodle bowl. The noodle bowl could have used more vegetables, it only had bok choy in it, but it was still pretty ok. Overall, I'd come back“

“The people in there are nice. The place is clean but it's a little bit too much like if McDonald's was trying to be a Chinese restaurant for me. The food is okay and if I was on a road trip I would eat it again if it was this or like a Burger King or something but it's not a destination for me“

“Food is excellent! Used to be an Oriental Gourmet in Southbury customer but switched because the quality and taste of their food degraded so much within the last year or so and never got better. Plus errors with take out orders were the last straw. Fortune House is definitely worth the trip from Southbury to Southford! Highly recommend this restaurant!“

“Since we first discovered this restaurant about five years ago, it has become our absolute favourite buffet. There is always a great selection of seafood dishes. The hibachi station has lots of variety and the preparation is on point. The sushi station is very generous with new items often added. My other personal favourites are the spare ribs and the coconut shrimp. The service is attentive, pleasant and courteous and they maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times. The value of this buffet is amazing and would be difficult to match anywhere. This restaurant provides variety, freshness, cleanliness and great service.“

I've now devoured the orange chicken combo, the sesame chicken combo, the crab rangoon, and tried my wife's General Tao's Chicken. I am constantly impressed. Now here's the thing ... the rice HITS. Fried rice these days is usually forgettable, either super oily or just tastes old. NOT HERE. I'm a veg fried rice person, and the rice is fragrant and addictive. The prices are also VERY FAIR. “The food soothes the pallet, and the atmosphere is great! The Home made duck sauce was the best I've had, shumai was tender, and crab ragoons were the freshest. The shrimp fried rice and pineapple fried rice are very good. I always keep a look out for who has the best orange chicken, and this place has it. Everything is well kept and clean, as well as the bathrooms. The hostess is exceptionally accommodating.“

“I don’t want to be dramatic but they might have some of the best crab rangoons I’ve ever had. Either that or the place I’ve been getting mine from did a really bad job lol food arrived so warm, ordering was so easy. My son got the boneless spare rib platter which he raved about and i also got chicken wings aside from my crab Rangoon and them wings were HITTIN’ to the point i took out hot sauce and they were so flavorful i forgot all about the dang hot sauce. First time ordering from them and they def got themselves a repeat costumer now.“

And the smile I get when I get my food that's customer service. “The best Golden fingers compared to others, it tastes and looks like actual chicken! Egg rolls and fried rice also always fresh and flavorful!! Staff is always friendly and orders always ready on time! Not my fav style for the crab Rangoon or the boneless spare ribs, but also not bad. I just prefer my rangoons more cream cheesy, but these were still really good. Soft center crispy outside perfectly cooked and not too greasy! Had a yummy chive? Flavor!“

“Just moved to the area and didn’t have much in the fridge, so we ordered dinner from here. The girl who answered the phone was super friendly, and the delivery guy was genuinely happy, great energy all around and I love that lol. And they had our food at the door in under ten minutes. Granted I’m like a half mile away, but still! Super fast delivery.

We got pork fried rice, egg rolls, boneless spare ribs, and chicken and broccoli. Solid 8/10 on the food, but the customer service, 10/10. “My happy place to go to. Even they are busy on the phone or waiting on customers the staff still great me in a very appreciate way. The family works hard everyday making the place a success. I recommend the lunch combons. Love the chicken and broccoli. My family is always happy with the amount of food we get and how hot the food is when it gets delivered to us. “We order take out from these guys at least 2x a month and we love the food. I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food. It cannot be oily or have a strange aftertaste. We have tried many restaurants and if it is not Up to Par the first time, the number is deleted and we move on. This location is a keeper. The ingredients are fresh, the food comes hot, they make it pretty quick and the price is reasonable. You will not be disappointed.“
