“12.24.23 This is going to be one of those I can't believe I haven't posted a review for this place yet, even after the dozens of times I've been here over the last handful of years. This is Naugatuck's hidden gem. They most definitely deserve the accolades. A family run Asian business. Need I say more? I've encountered most of if not all of their family members at some point. They're always so sweet kind and patient. They are all so genuine & kindhearted people. Their are very hospitable. It does take a little bit longer at times for you to receive your food but it's worth it. They're making it to order and it's always fresh. They don't have a lot of staff working with them usually. I have tried many different menu items and i can truly say I've never been disappointed. The inside is ornately decorated with something interesting everywhere you look. The ambiance is casual & friendly from the moment you walk in and get sat. Nice relaxing vibe. The Thai iced tea is a great starter. It goes great with their Larb. Yummers. The Thai crispy egg rolls are great too with the fish sauce. There are some lunch specials that are very inexpensive they run Monday thru Friday but I prefer most of the items from their regular menu. Let's just say the lunch specials i have had weren't my favorite items from their menu. My favorite is their Lad Naah with the side noodles, Chinese broccoli & the gravy. Serious yummers. IMO. For real. Almost forgot about the Sai Ghock which was delicious too. It's home made. But My all time fav is the mango sticky rice of course. This is drool worthy yumms :-) The parking situation is very easy. There's parking on both sides of the street and a large parking lot across the street for many of the surrounding businesses. Also forgot to mention their prices which are very reasonable for the product that you receive. They never rush you out of there like some places do. You'll always leave feeling replenished & happy.“

“Went for lunch on a Saturday, and got the green curry with the coconut soup and spring rolls. Firstly, the food was wonderful - some of the best Thai food around. Soup was excellent, and the flavor of the green curry (I got it with chicken) was out of this world. Thai iced tea was great too. Secondly, the portions were large, and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is very comfortable - it's a large restaurant with a very open feeling and nice decorations. Worth stopping in for lunch like we did!“

“Three of us visited the new Thai place in the former location of The Terrace. The interior is more causal and comfortable than the Terrace, and the menu a bit simpler. Service was prompt and friendly, and she took care to be sure we understood the level of spiciness in our dishes. We had different meals and found them all to be wonderful. Pad Thai, drunken noodles, I can't remember the third. Glad to have these folks in the neighborhood.“

“Delicious delicious! Went here based on good reviews. Small place - only 2 tables to sit at - really looks like a take-out place but the 4 dishes we ordered were delicious and we kicked the plate clean - 2 noodle dishes, chicken mango curry and chicken pineapple.“

“I drove by the other day and noticed a new sign that said grand opening. I was a little hesitant because the old Thai palace was a standout place, putting their spin on classics, but after hearing good things from my mom last night I couldn't wait. I treated myself to a little bit of everything tonight. Same delicious taste! And to be honest the pad se ew was better than ever! The only thing I would suggest is if you order a salad ask for the dressing on the side for takeout. I also requested no fish sauce for my curry because that's the way original owners always made it, though I know most Thai restaurants use it. Out of this world! Thank you for making my solo Valentine's Day special!“

“I originally wanted the fried rice but they were sold out, so I got the fried rice, chicken and Penang chicken. I'm happy I got this instead though, because the chicken was very tasty and cooked great. Nice and tender. Very good Thai food.“

“We were in the mood for Thai food last night. So, I opened up Google maps and typed in Thai food and lo and behold this place popped up in Seymour, about 10 minutes from my home. I have to say it was a nice surprise for both of us. I didn’t know this restaurant existed. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner. He takes care of the dining room and his wife, her friend, and their son do all the cooking in the kitchen. It’s a nice family run operation. We started out with two appetizers, the chicken satay, and the Thai spring rolls. Both were very good and very flavorful. For our entrées, my partner had the red curry with chicken and I had the yellow curry with chicken. We also shared the drunken noodles with chicken that we later found out was prepared by their son. It was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Both of these were excellent! The portions were huge! We decided to try something different for dessert, it was highly recommended by the owner so we opted for coconut and sweet pumpkin tapioca, it consisted of pumpkin, taro,and coconut milk with tapioca pearls and was served warm. It had just enough sweetness to satisfy the sugar craving after dinner. If you’re looking for good homemade Thai food this is the next place that you want to go. We also noticed that they do a lot of takeout.“

“Thai Smile is amazing! My coworkers and I have sampled nearly every item on the menu and they are all delicious! The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our favorite dishes are the Massaman Curry, Tamarind Shrimp, and Spicy Bamboo, but every dish is so tasty and flavorful. Absolutely the best Thai food around!!“

“A warm welcome from owner greets you with booth seating. A hot pot of tea is brought to the table by talented son. The owner greets us as we place our order. Within minutes, hot food is served.Tonight was the basil chicken with pork fried rice.Amazing. It was so delicious and flavorful. A real authentic prepared dish. This is the real deal at an affordable price.The Golden Palace gets five stars but should get ten. Best Chinese and Thai food family style restaurant. Highly recommended. Plenty of parking and seating.“
