Bartender was great. Scallops where amazing. And the general atmosphere was very chill.

The service was absolutely horrible. The food was decent but came out of order, and one of the entrées weren't available, they didn't let us know until 45min after waiting. Only one entrées cans out before the appetizer.

We waited 2 HOURS for our door dash order. They just kept pushing it back instead of just canceling the order if they knew they were too busy. I called the restaurant and they said it was just coming out and we did receive it shortly after BUT it was the wrong order! AFTER 2 HOURS WE GOT THE WRONG ORDER! And to top it all off the food wasn’t good and I’m still hungry.

5/5 Best Peruvian food I’ve had in New Haven. Great traditional plates with their own twist. If one word would describe their food it would be “fresh”. Everything tasted great. Our absolute favorite was the causa. Probably one of the best dishes we have had in New Haven. We also had the arroz chaufa and carrot tres leches cake. The customer service is also phenomenal. The staff were wonderful and accommodating especially with our young child and the owner stopped by to chat with us. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Spent an evening at Amaru Peruvian Bistro and had a wonderful and elegant dining experience with excellent Peruvian Cuisine. Victor was attentive and went that extra mile. Will dine again and will recommend to all friends and family.
