I am a big fan of JP Dempsey's. It is a very relaxed environment with good food and beer. Before the pandemic, a bunch of my grad school friends would go there to grab nachos and beer and celebrate the end of the week. Their nachos are particularly good.

Stopped in after a long absence. Service was superb. The food was great. The music, however, was stunning. Not in a good way. As I devoured my excellent calamari, it started becoming clearer that a "song" that was part of the background addressed the issue of "freaky motherfuckers." Over and over again. Lots of F bombs. Then something about a woman's a** and her tits and telling her to put something on "this dick." That was so disturbing that I don't know that I'll go back. Ever. Unless they tell me that they can make sure I don't have to sit through that again. Ever. I sent them a message on Facebook so we'll see ...

It's a very friendly environment with nice service, but the orders take quite a bit long time to be ready. Still meanwhile you can enjoy watching TV, and your favorite game. We ordered Caesar salad with shrimps which was great! The shrimps were well cooked and we also ordered steak medium and that was good too. I usually can't have medium steak but I think they cooked it pretty well, so probably the waiting time worth it at the end. They were also very flexible. Friendly environment is the most notable feature of this place.

Super cool bar on State Street in New Haven! It's not easy - believe it or not - to find good wings in New Haven. Probably because there are so many pizza joints. But this little place was a great find on a cold winter night. There's a great local feel and the staff is amazing. We were told they had the best wings in New Haven and it would be hard to argue. We had the garlic parm, honey bbq, buffalo, mild buffalo, naked, sweet thai chili, and teriyaki and all were strong wings! We'd go back here for sure and highly recommend this spot! Ask for the owners, Disko and Carmella!

Our friend recently moved into the neighborhood so we went to visit on a Friday night. Were walking around and stopped since they had nice outdoor tables. Menu was kind of small and basic. My wife and her friend got boring and unimpressive wraps. I didn't necessarily want to order the Dempsey Burger but it seemed so ridiculous I had to. It was big and messy and some of the ingredients kind of got lost in it and it was too tall to take a full bite at once. Needed like 8 napkins to eat it so that's a good sign. The bacon and mozzarella sticks were the standouts in the sandwich and if I ever go back would probably want to try the appetizer mozzarella sticks.

Tried this place with friends for the first time I gotta say that the food was pretty good and I would like to thank you guys including the owner for giving my friends and I a free appetizer after we allowed you guys to set up the heater on our table. I would also like to thank you guys for letting us try the Mac and cheese bites even though that they aren’t on the menu yet. I would love to come here again and I really hope you guys put the Mac and cheese bites on the menu. They were really good.

Their tap menu is constantly changing with quality, local beers. Their food menu has something for everyone. I am always looking forward to leftovers the next day as a result of their generous portions. Can’t say enough good things about this establishment.
