We got two dinner plates that included: ribs, shredded chicken, sweet potatoes, macaroni and chess, collard greens, onion and cornbread. Just wow. Clearly homemade from some longtime family recipes. 5/5 stars and then some. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“

“The place is wonderfully decorated and feels like a jazz club. The music was amazing. A couple of things they need to work on. It took at least 20 minutes to get a beer for my husband and my martini (which was made with too much vermouth). It then took at least 45-1 hour to get our food and we ordered salads as our main dish. The other thing is that we sat up front by the stage and you can hear and see the TV in the bar area. It's distracting. We would definitely go back, however, I am hoping they address the bar and food issue.“
“I am a New Haven native. I ha e always seen this hidden gem just never went in the restaurant. Well I'm here to inform you the food was um um good. It wasn't salty. I ordered fried chicken (who can go wrong with chicken),yams and string beans. Whoa it was soo good and the sweet tea is on point!! My sister ordered pork chops,collard greens and Mac and cheese. She was pleased just as well as I was. Go visit Mama Mary's Soul Food on Whalley. You will not be disappointed“
“Slowest service ever. Unless your gonna stay for a few hours i don't recommend ordering food. Though the food is good. Ive been here serveral times and always food took 30 minutes or longer to be served this is a big complaint among their customers. The servers weren't the nicest.. though once i weren't and there was a very ocomidatiting young lady gave her fat tip. For a really good time at Lynons i recomend you eat before you go there. Last time i went staff was under age i had to get up and get my parties n my drinks. The Bar staff are the best . Nice vibe entertainment is always on point. They have great parking off street. It's also hard to find even with GPS. It sits back in the cut and the sign is small so if your not familiar with its location slow down nd look hard.“
“Recently checked in as I heard a lot of good feedback about Southern Dishes, and I was not disappointed! Food was on point with all the flavor. The yams weren't to sweet and the Mac n cheese was was hitting my soul. Only small let down, the person who took my order put me down for the chopped BBQ but I wanted the ribs. Now I have a valid excuse to eat there again lol. If you choose to order inside, take a peek at them ribs and then you'll know why I MUST go back lol.“
