It's a cozy little place with friendly service and fantastic food. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that there is no vegan protein offered (other than edamame). They couldn't throw some tofu in the veggie dishes? But otherwise this is comfort food for the soul. Take a look at these bok choy and scallion dishes I had yesterday:

Ordered takeout from here and waited about 15 minutes:-Xiao Long Bao (Pork Soup Dumplings): 3/5Skin was very thick and kept sticking to the foil pan, so it kept breaking and leaking out the juice :( I wasn't too impressed with the filling inside either, but it was mainly the thick skin that ruined the experience for me-Chong Qing Pork Noodle: 3.5/5The noodles were well-made and the spice was very flavorful. However, they gave such a skimpy serving of pork that I felt betrayed Based on other reviews, perhaps you'll enjoy this restaurant more if you ordered other Dim Sum items!

Went to Steamed on Saturday 10/2, at about 11:40am to order dim sum. I had double checked Google Reviews and Yelp, and both had store hours listed as opening at 11am everyday. Front door was locked. A worker opened the door and told me the store's not open until 12:30pm. No explanation.

Got the brisket noodle soup and chili oil dumplings (not pictured) to go! I have no complains. Everything was flavorful and fresh tasting. I’m thinking about going back today to sit in and try more dumplings!
Food unfortunately seemed to be lack flavor. The shumi honestly had zero flavor. Had to put an abundance in soy sauce on it to make it taste better. The beef dumplings weren't to bad. Had more flavor then the other things. Hoping it was just an off night. I will say the staff were very nice and accommodating. I also want to mention there was a few water spots on floor. I'm thinking it's the condensation from the a/c and it being summer. I am only mentioning this because I don't want anything to happen. Prices were pretty good as well.

This is why I love hole in the wall restaurants! It is a very cozy atmosphere with only a few tables. The décor is very warm, it feels like someone invited you over for dinner. Since the restaurant was so tiny the service was immediate. The food was exactly what we were looking for - authentic dim sum. We tried the shrimp dumplings, pork soup dumplings and black sesame glutinous rice balls. The shrimp dumplings were consistent with the quality you would normally find in NYC. The only difference was that they didn't have quite as much shrimp inside. The pork soup dumplings were also what I would expect from NYC. I liked how they weren't super salty like some other soup dumplings. Finally, the glutinous black sesame rice balls. These things are amazing! The outside is very soft and gooey. The inside is a unique sweet, salty, nutty sesame paste with an incredible flavor. Come here for a quick bite of authentic dim sum!

Absolutely amazing. I didn't expect this to be as good as it was. A little spicy as stated in the menu. It was pretty filling & for the price it was worth it in my opinion. Customer service was good. Will definitely be back!
