a wonderful gem for several years, hidden by its left over name "the New England coffee shop" printed on the door. I see it is no longer listed as a restaurant in Yelp.. It is now under new management with a Latino family who don't speak English and I fear they will go under as few of the splendid tapestry of non- Latino people will find it. . The new owners, I believe took over for Jose, who made every kind of breakfast, American and middle American, never the same way twice - but no coffee and donuts. The owners and cooks are Two señoras, (a good sign whatever the ethnic group), their daughters, a little grandkid running around. Its run in a seemingly random, or undetectable arrangement. They are all warm, eager to make Ecuadorian specialties, even though I was told by a teenager daughter at the register that they are Puerto Rican, not Ecuadorian; and other middle and South American Latino food (other than puerto Rican.) fresh and to order. No written menu; the beautifully painted sign listing dishes without translation and without prices. The second time we went they no longer were able to process our credit cards. I just act humble and ask the Señora to make ne something good, and it worked out great. The food is terrific if you like Authentic dishes , made in traditional, time consuming way. They may change when they finish renovations,,and get more professional. I hope not too much., as in all, this.is my kind of place.

I go there for the patacon aka Hiberito they are delicious, they come in steak, chicken or pork. Staff is very friendly, very clean environment.

Small restaurant, only a few tables. Single worker who was being run ragged with a lot of take-out orders. Still, she took the time to set us a table and do a quick run-down of the menu. Very friendly, very polite, very hard-working. Food was amazing, and cost incredibly reasonable for the portion size. Brought quite a bit home. Only minor complaint was that the ventilation was a bit poor, a lot of the steam and smoke from the kitchen wafted to the eating area creating a bit of haze. That said, it's a small mom-and-pop (boycott big chains!) and being the middle of winter meant opening a door for ventilation would of let the 10°F weather in. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant, delicious food, great prices. Can't say enough. Check it out. Had some shrimp fajitas and they were to die for. Definitely would recommend. Small hole-in-the-wall feel with excellent service.

Best patacòn ever. The various central American breakfasts are also great. So is the lunch menu, it's all good. Now I'm hungry...

Usually get the steak nachos which are good but I always wait half an hour or longer for just that one dish.
