“Visiting a friend, and found this place. We went with pizza, well I can eat pizza every day of the week. With that said we ordered a garlic and broccoli. The pie came out and it was a good size pie, however I was expecting a bunch of roasted pieces of garlic. We got garlic powder which is not the same. The pie was good, the food that went by looked even better. If I'm in the area again I will try this place but I'm going for the chicken parm that went by as I was waiting for my pizza.”

“I've been to Grassroots in Simsbury, so I was excited to see one here. My family and I were exploring the town on a balmy day. The perfect day for some Grassroots ice cream. There was a line when we got there but it moved quickly. There a few small tables, all taken. By the time we ordered and got our our ice cream, the place cleared out and we were able to snag a table.

The ice cream I got was delicious, per usual. I'm rating 5 stars on just the ice cream alone. I am a fan of their small batch ice cream. They have unique flavors which I'm a super fan of. I love their blackberry and goat cheese ice cream! Yes, definitely check them out!”

“I’ve been to a lot of New Milford’s restaurants but I have to say the service at The Abbey was exceptional and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Given how many eateries don’t survive over time; they are the model for a sustaining and thriving food service business. My wife had the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I had the Chicken Caesar salad. Both were excellent and the portion size and portion per price was very good. Even the water tasted excellent. If I had one complaint it would be that the noise level was a little high, but it is a pub style restaurant where you can watch a game.”

“My friend and I had lunch today here. Yokohama Restaurant is wonderful. The food is delicious, the wait staff courteous and friendly, the prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is casual with nice background music. It is not a fancy place at all, but that didn't matter to us. We shared the steamed vegetable dumplings which were delicate and delicious, the fried calamities which was very crunchy with large pieces of squid and the best I've ever had. We each got a box lunch which is $15 and includes 3 shumai, 4 pieces of California roll with wasabi and pickled ginger, white rice and the main event - mine being the shrimp tempera included 2 huge shrimp and vegetables tempera. My friend had the chicken teriyaki box lunch and both were delicious. And somehow we decided to get dessert, and split the mango-raspberry sorbet which was lovely. We will definitely return to Yokohama!!!”

“Went there for first time ever. Took the ACYE option. Salad was good. Soup was good. All food tasted fresh and delicious. Yakatori was good. Sashimi was good. Sushi rolls were excellent. Lots of flavor. Portions are smallish, but allows you to sample more of the menu. Felt the price point was accurate. Staff was attentive and great. Will definitely go again. Ps. Green tea was a nice complement to the meal.”

My husband also had an appetizer with crepes stuffed with chicken and mushrooms which he said was outstanding. The service was so friendly and impeccable. Even though we were the last customers before closing we didn’t feel rushed at all. Always amazed that Chef Carlos is the one that prepares your meal all these years. La Piccolina never disappoints.”

“My hubby took me here for a breakfast date this morning, and they did not disappoint. The French toast was made perfectly. It was crisp in all the right places, tasted like butter, vanilla, and cinnamon, all the right things. And the hashbrowns were absolutely delicious! Whatever you are doing, keep that up! The service was awesome, the server was very pleasant and kind. It is nice to see a genuine smile when out and about. I am taking my daughter to lunch in the upcoming weeks. Thank you again!”

“Tried this place recently, then went back again a week later. Their hot and sour soup has become my favorite out of all the others I've tried! The crab rangoon were perfectly cooked. The pork fried rice was delicious. The staff is very friendly and the place is clean. Their pricing is very reasonable and lower than other places, considering the generous portion sizes.”
