We had a private event in their pub room. Food was very tasty, prices very reasonable and the staff was great. If you are looking for a place to have a nice group buffet or birthday, engagement party, etc., I recommend!

The food was okay. I would try the mozzarella sticks. I would stay away from the pretzel. Went for trivia night and had a good time. Very busy.

TJs is a sports bar with great food and immaculately clean. The burger ? tastes like steak! I have had three of them and they are the "best burger" I personally have had in Connecticut. It's small in a cozy, way and the 8 TVs are set up so you can see NFL or Basketball anywhere you sit. It's really perfect for 3 friends & you to play pool and eat, or a casual "date night" because there are booths you can snuggle up in. I usually just go to the bar side; but the restaurant side has 8 small booths so you can take mom or a friend to a tasty lunch. The menu is quite large but I personally stick to burgers.
I'm a Newington resident of about 7 years and have been meaning to try TJ's for a while and lord, I'm glad I did. 1) Bourbon steak tips 2) the drinks 3) servers and bartenders - all were amazing. I've been there 3 times in 2 weeks and have plans to take the kids tomorrow for pizza. I'm excited to finally find a local place with really good food, nice people and a relaxed atmosphere.

Ordered delivery...I left a message to leave the food in the garage. It was left in front of the front door so that when you opened the door, the food was in the way. The dinner salad portion was small. Newington Pizza has excellent salads and it lasts 2 meals. The steak tips were so so and the potatoes were so disgusting, that I didn't even eat them. My meal was $26...not worth $10. Never again.

I have been to this restaurant a few nights ago and I have never been so disrespected ever. Everytime I come here the same blonde hostess is so rude and very disrespectful to me. I believe it is a racial issue since I am Hispanic. I have never felt so uncomfortable ever. I will never return to this restaurant ever again. If you want wonderful service please don't spend your money here. There's many other places in Newington that will treat you the way you should be treated. The food is very bland and has absolutely no flavor...
