“Usually, I get the crispy chicken nugget meal. I have tried the chicken sandwich, and both are a hit. Line is somewhat a wait, but it is always worth it. Also, I love my cookie and cream milkshake. ? Lemonade is usually good, my first go-to with the meal. I'm just happy to have a location in CT. The one located in the casino doesn't hit the same.Parking: Parking gets a little crazy when the drive thru is busy. But there are plenty of spaces to park at the restaurant and also close by“

“Outstanding food in the heart of New Haven. It's a small, clean place with huge portion sizes. The service was attentive and the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the different dishes. I had the lomo saltado (classic Peruvian stir-fried beef dish with fries) and my dining partner had a Peruvian rotisserie chicken sandwich. The food is flavorful and an assortment of sauces were provided to add different flavor profiles - spicy, sweet, tangy, etc. We sampled some sauces, which tasted great, but the food was well-seasoned, so we did not need to add any sauces. We both left happy and full. On another date, I also ordered an arroz con mariscos (rice with seafood). There was many pieces of seafood (mussels, crab, shrimp, squid) and it reminded me of the times I had paella in Spain. Icaru is an excellent addition to the New Haven food scene and is a must try for people interested in exploring the diversity of dining in New Haven!“
“My wife and I had the opportunity for a late lunch today. This was our second trip to the this location. We went back because ALL the employees are extremely professional and there to provide the optimal experience. While we were dining several people came up to us asking if we needed a refill or if there was something else they could do to make our visit the best that it could be. There were a group of people at a larger table and i could see some badges. Chic-fil-a badges. I assumed on of them was the franchises owner and I was able to figure out who he was. This man as he was walking up to the counter and he asked how we were doing. He cared. He listened. It was TODD the owner. We had a great conversation and made us feel welcome. We complemented him on his location. I let him know the fresh waffle fries are what got my attention. Todd, congrats for what you have and what you are doing for your company. “Had this as my birthday dinner recently and it was immaculate.Excellent service, delicious food, chill place to hang while it was getting ready (was a big order, handled great). Was given water while waiting. Very friendly staff. Got free fries. Five stars and well deserved. Big recommend.“
“You must order the fried fish there...I ordered all of them...tilapia-whitefish-catfish...they were very crispy...very tasty...the room is fully decorated even the ceiling is great...a great place to stop...and the staff is very friendly...don't miss it...I took my scooter...for our early Spring day, it was worth it...!!!Parking: It's small but most people do take away...so they are in & out quickly...!!!“

“Amazing food there!!! The chicken is my favorite thing to get with fries ! Im definitely going to try more on the menue in the future. Its definitely an amazing restaurant with quick amazing service run by very nice people. “Ok - wow. This was amazing. We were (re)watching Breaking Bad and all the talk about Los Pollos Hermanos made me crave some fried chicken. This place did not disappoint! We got the family order which is huge! Easily would feed a family of four, and our family of 2 adults has leftovers for at least another meal! The chicken was fried to perfection, juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside (also, we ordered this from door dash and the food was still perfectly crisp when it got to us). The biscuits were also ah-mazing.“
“Tried this place for the first time last night. We don’t have any near us, but we have a BirdCode. I always get the Naughty Neighbor at BirdCode and the Fuego Fries at HHC were almost identical. Fries and tenders were crispy, the slaw was a great mix of Mayo/vinegar, pickles were so good and the Rob sauce on top was perfect. I highly recommend this place, everything was delicious!“
