Stopped in on impulse for a Valentines Dinner, thinking of it as too crowded we could go somewhere else! We checked in around 545pm and it was not as busy as we thought. We were seated right away and began our order. I guess timing is everything as we got our appetizer more customers showed up. First off, I am not a sushi connoisseur by any stretch. I was introduced to sushi just a couple of years ago and have eaten it at perhaps four or five reataurants. That said, the sushi at Mahzu is the best that I've had. It is always fresh and prepared perfectly. We have had the soups and other appetizers which are also excellent. My favorites are the Godzilla and AK-47 rolls, the spring rolls, gyoza, miso soup, and even the salad. The in house salad dressing is delicious!...read full review

Danny the owner is so nice, he treats us like royalty when my husband and I come in to eat or get takeout (probably more often than we'd like to admit!). Mahzu hands down has the best sushi in the area!The sushi is always fresh and tasty, with good mouth feel, and they give you big sushi pieces/good portions. The Oyako and Philly rolls are my absolute favorite. My husband loves the soft shell crab roll. The service is always polite and prompt.
