“Cute little cafe, friendly staff, and holy cow-the best, most authentic Cuban I’ve seen served anywhere outside of Florida or made at home. The pork is perfectly roasted, the bread nice and crispy. If you’re looking for the real deal, look no further.”
“First time having breakfast bagel with bacon, egg, cheese. My taste buds were happy! Coffee was a nice surprise in walking distance of the beach ? Great place.Kid-friendliness: Corn hole, dinosaur for photo ok. Ocean blue picnic benches with umbrellas.”
“What a great place. We came here because they were doing a fundraiser for a local child of the Guarraia family with cancer. 100% of the proceeds are going to help them and the place is packed!”
“LOVE this place. Love the nachos, and others at the table got margaritas and raved about them. Staff is friendly and helpful. Buffalo chicken wrap was also delicious. Come on Monday nights for trivia. Always a great time, but would prefer if the trivia could be read/handled faster, as we usually have to leave after round 2 or 3 of 5. It is way too long.”
“Elana made our absolutely perfect wedding cake! We were so lucky to have found her. Not only was the cake was truly delicious, one of the best wedding cakes I've ever had (bride bias aside)! Elana was so helpful and responsive answer any and all questions and truly working with us to understand the design we were looking for. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in search for a cake!”

“BEST CHINESE FOOD! I've never had Chinese food this good anywhere. The egg rolls are amazing too. This will be the only place I'll get chinese take out from here on out”
“Excellent Experience. Stopped at that Subway to buy myself and 2 workers lunch on the way back from a job. The 2 ladies working were very friendly, polite and attentive. The elder of the 2 who had taken care of me made a great wrap suggestion and the food was great. Besides the friendly staff there are chairs outside to sit in which was great on such a nice day.”
“Very nice lady! Quaint shop and yummy looking scones and other goodies. Nothing lactose free so I couldn't try! They serve lunch too so give them a try! Coffee was excellent.”
“A home away from “home”. A necessity and lifesaver when visiting relatives and staying with them locally in this basically disgusting and rotten quirky, creative and Artsy community including many historic disgusting feeble minded vintage car collectors?☢️. Which unfortunately has more in common with similar communities out west or Marfa Tx or inner-state, and offers little else in comparison to Essex, Old Saybrook or Mystic which are steps away from coastal New England heaven like Greenwich or Darien. Typically I would stay is Essex, Old Saybrook when in the area which is a relatively more sober and refreshing environment but sometimes that is not an option.Pros; Comfortable riverside environment, Warm genuine service, Ice cold beer, cool jovial bar and excellent approachable comfort food always brings happiness even in critical or emergency situations.”
“Typical Dunkin, friendly staff, fresh hot coffee. Got there late in the day so the donuts were a bit stale. Still good though.Parking: Plenty of spots right in front of the storeKid-friendliness: Dunkin donuts... So most kids love donuts”
“The prices are kind of high but I guess you're paying for the atmosphere that you're in which is beautiful. I love going here because of the atmosphere. Everything is ala cart now which makes it more expensive and the servings are pretty small. There is not a very big selection of food.”
“Absolute favorite restaurant. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is amazing. The drinks are amazing. The atmosphere is ridiculously lovely. Would definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: They happily accommodate dietary restrictions. I have brought vegetarian and vegan friends here who have had no problem finding really tasty things on the menu.Dietary restrictions: They are happy to accommodate any allergies. I brought my good friend here who is allergic to nuts and they were very accommodating and helpful.”
“We had an excellent experience. everyone was welcoming. Great choices on the menu, the food was brought promptly, well prepared, wait staff was attentive. Had the Mystic oysters for appetizer, they were amazing. We will be back again !”
“It was a wonderful experience! The decor is cozy and beautiful. The Lobster bisque was AWESOME! We were celebrating three birthdays and they brought each of birthday people desserts—so kind!♥️?”
“Absolutely the best pizza I have ever had, these guys and girls know their stuff, if you love pizza then go here to meet your pizza soul mate because you will be in heaven with the first bite...!!Kid-friendliness: We brought our grand child there his name is Otto and they gave him a free t shirt ...who does that these days ....?”
“A gem in this pretty town! Ordered white clam pizza and cheese pizza. Pizza's crust was thin and fragrant. Both pizzas were fantastic. Cheese pizza was not too salty and tasted just perfect. White clam pizza was just so good too. Staff were also friendly and setting was very casual. Hope to be back!”
“It's not Ichiran, but the Tonkotsu ramen honestly comes quite close (for me). For the middle of Connecticut where there's a major lack of good choices of ramen, this place hits the spot. It's also fast: I ordered, ate, and left within ~25 minutes. Will absolutely be coming back!Vegetarian options: Ask for replacements”
“I tried Vincitori for the first time and the Shepherds pizza was DELICIOUS! The pork was amazing and the pineapple and salsa added a great touch on the taste buds. I wish this could stay on the menu forever! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be trying this place again.”

“I am not from this area, but I stumbled upon this little coffee shop in my travels. I was warmly greeted, and they took my order immediately (this was 11am so not a rush hour for a coffee shop) and they made me one of the best lattes I've ever had. Had great flavor, and was nice and hot. About the same price point as Starbucks, but worth every penny to support a local shop. I would recommend a stop here!”
“Everything is vegan and gluten-free. Some are nut and soy free.Had the roasted veggie pizza with two different cheeses. My wife had the Mexican bowl. Both loaded with flavor and lots of fresh veggies and fruits. Every bite was a little taste of heaven and very filling.Got baked goods. I'll try later.Staff is very friendly and enthusiastic.Live music Saturday afternoons.Lots of local artists selling their creations in the store. Bought a gorgeous butterfly bracelet. Great prices!Vegetarian options: 100% veganDietary restrictions: 100% dairy free and gluten-free. Nut and soy free dishes labeled.Parking: Easy to park”
“The food at the village cafe is incredibly good. The meals are delicious and made with real ingredients. The owners and staff are always welcoming and go out of their way to accommodate customers. I have been going there since they opened and everything is always kept meticulously clean.”
“I try to treat myself to their sandwiches once a week. As a native of New Haven area this is the only place that reminds me of the Italian delis at home. There sandwiches never disappoint and a great gem in the deep river area!”
“What a pleasant surprise! We have been visiting our son for years who is part a program for disabled adults. We are foodies and have never been impressed with any food on the shoreline. This brunch was beyond all expectations! We will definitely be back.”
“I was very impressed! Great seasonal cider with quite a few varieties. I recommend their Jack O Lantern Cider and Rhubarb wine. They had a fried chicken food truck that was "farm to food truck." We loved the two massive fire pits on the property- kept us there for hours!”
“All time favourite brewery.Love the vibe, the unique and thoughtful brews, attention to detail in the quality of the beer from the Ingredients, all the way to the packaging. To top it off it feels good supporting a business who made the effort to lower their carbon footprint with a solar roof!Little House is top notch”
“Had lunch there the past couple of days and let me say the food is amazing. I had the steak fiesta burrito 2 days in a row and it was delicious. They also have a rice pudding that is so good too. Definitely would recommend stopping if you’re in the area. Food came over super fast too!!”
