“I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The best Mexican food in CT, I promise you won’t be disappointed! Steak burrito is my fav but everything on the menu is delicious & super fresh. The staff is always friendly and attentive. This is a must try spot, don’t miss out ;)“
“By far one of the best tacos I have tried recently in Connecticut the food here is great and tasty in all different ways. Compared to other taco places this place really stands out in the portion of the food and taste all for an affordable price 10/10“
“If you like fresh, creative and delicious tacos and sides dishes than this is the place! First of all- clean, bright and tastefully decorated. Then the food…fresh and Made with attention to detail. All the tacos are great but especially the rib eye and fish tacos are next level. They are balanced with their flavors, seasoning, spices, textures and acidity. Their side sauces are amazing!! Seriously, I could put those sauces on my shoe and eat it with joy. Moderately priced and good service make this laid back taqueria a go to place. You won’t regret it.“
“We found this place by accident and so happy we did! We loved all of the food! Grilled chicken tacos, Steak tacos, beef and potato empanadas all worth going in for. The waitress, Lilianna was so sweet and very good. She made the experience even better.“
“Tuesday nights host guest chef of Umebroshi featuring Hawaiian-Asian fusion. If you want a flavor bomb, these are guys you want to meet up with. Chef Rob is one of the nicest folks around. If you're not into that kinda thing - come for the cocktails!! Not only are they cool offerings, but the presentation is top notch. The melon tasted just right, the tiki chip was cool and the dehydrated blood orange was a beautiful touch! It really is true you eat, or drink, with your eyes first!“
“This place was amazing! Usually I find Mexican food in CT bad, but these Tacos Al Pastor were delicious! I love supporting Latino owned businesses. I'm not even a fan of green salsa, but it was delicious on the tacos. The service was great, muy amable. The ambiance was very homey, the music reminded me as if I was back in Mexico. Definitely recommend this spot!“
“It was awesome. Great view and yummy food. I highly recommend everyone to try them out at least once. I will definitely come here again in the near future. Loved the food and music.Parking: There was plenty of free parking when I went. Street parking.“
“cajun chicken and shrimp pasta perfect !!! Birria tacos so on point some of the best I had !( even from the food trucks on long wharf) garlic parm wings yumm perfectly tender yet crunchy and sauce was perfect consistency! Shrimp and grits also very yummy !!! steak and veggie stir fry with mash ( each separate I loved ) but probably pairs better with rice“
“We came here on a Friday night and had the place to ourselves which was a shock after eating some phenomenal tacos with great service! We had the carnitas, birria, and asada tacos with a side of chips and salsa, and loved every bite! If we are ever back in New Haven we will be back!“
“Opted for a torta at lunch time. The green salsa was super spicy and crazy delicious. The side of guac and chips equally good. Mexicalli stands out since it is the only black truck on Long Wharf. Overall love Food Truck Paradise, reminding me of the taco trucks back in California. Definitely not as cheap, but pretty tasty and a nice break from pizza.“
“I must have driven by this place a thousand times over the years and never thought about going in. A friend of mine suggested it and I loved it!! Small. quaint, food was so delicious and service was awesome!! I can’t wait to go back!!!“
“The food is good and freshly made. The staff is always so n friendly and nice without being talkative, which I appreciate. It’s always really clean and fast and they are good with my allergens too. I’d recommend it.Dietary restrictions: I’m allergic to milk and they make sure to take it off after asking of course.Parking: Parking lot around back.“
