“This place is a hidden gem. Mom and I went for a late breakfast today. We were seated immediately and had a great table near the window with plenty of sunshine on this cold day. Our server Christopher was the BEST! We ordered the 2 special French toast dishes, one with pineapple and coconut and the the other with berries and cream. We also got bacon on the side. The food was AWESOME! Best bacon we’ve had out ever! Our French toast was so fresh and delicious and the coffee was amazing as well. All the staff was by to see if we wanted more coffee or water, they were wonderful. We will definitely be back again and this cafe gets 5 stars in our book! Run, don’t walk to this great little cafe! Some comfortable seating mixed with hard metal chairs (that should be improved as they went with form over function). Breakfast menu is mostly build your own. If you don't like making decision then not your place. If you like building then that's not a negative. My egg sandwich was with cheese and bacon. The cheese was almost non existent (one slice) and egg was plain. I don't think this is awesome. But it is good.“

“This was our first time here. The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. I ordered off of the seasonal menu. I ordered strawberry pierogis for the table and a chicken apple sandwich with chips. My friends ordered eggs Benedict. I ordered the ginger bread coffee. I unfortunately do not recall what my friend had ordered her coffee is the woman with the decorative design.. my other friend ordered the Peru, which was pretty good. I love the atmosphere, and the music was fantastic. A great rotation of music. I’m a sucker for good food and good music at the same time. We got seats within five minutes of being there. I definitely recommend it.“
“After recently unsuccessfully trying to visit when the line was very long, I was the first person in line as they opened at 10:45 on a Saturday morning. I ordered a Strawberry Almond Jelly Milk Tea. It looked great and tasted great. Service was efficient. My son also loved his Milk Foam Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea. I'm not experienced enough with milk teas to compare it to other places, but I had a good experience. 5 Stars“

“I really love the vibe of the other Perkatory locations. What I love about this location is the murals! This spot definitely needs time to style the place more to match the vibe of the other locations (if that's the plan). I loved the ample seating, my friend and I were able to sit and read for a bit with our coffees. I feel like you really need to like their specials or you'll just end up with something very regular as the main menu has nothing special for flavors. My friend isn't crazy about coffee but will drink it if it's sweet. She named a drink she likes elsewhere (white chocolate mocha) and we thought the barista could whip something up thats similar, as baristas are usually happy to do. But, she was very dry and told us all she could do were the specials. I drink coffee regularly and the specials didn't even appeal to me at the time. My friend ended up with salted caramel latte but we both wished they just had regular caramel. I got a hot chai latte with espresso, which was good. I would've liked if they had more sweeteners/flavors available. Im assuming this barista is super new and just wasn't comfortable with being creative.“

“This was my favorite study spot in college, now I come here to read before my appointments in Waterbury. I love their specialty drinks, I usually pick a drink from their seasonal favorites when I'm here. They also have a really good chicken sandwich that I'll get if I'm here around lunch time. Staff is always so nice and quick. I feel comfortable hanging out here. The only issue was I noticed a lot of their seating has the pleather torn apart so badly you can't sit on it comfortably. The benefit of this place was their comfy chairs, so hopefully they get those replaced soon!“

“I have been coming to chesire coffee for a couple years now. My favorite thing has always been the atmosphere. Until recently, the shop has always been a cozy, warm and quaint little coffee shop. As of 3/19/2024, the shop seems to be doing some sort of renovation and I'm afraid it seems to be going the way of every other "modern" competing coffee shop. The work is not complete so I'm not 100% sure of what the finished product will be, however, the cozy couches, chairs, corky pictures and rugs are all gone.This coffee shop in a small way, without sounding too cheesy, is a perfect representation of a small New England coffee shop. It would be a shame if it tries to change all of that, all in the name of a "refreshing look". Not every new look needs to be different shades of grey with minimalist design features.“
