There is never any parking available, and they have blocked off the driveway for parking. My wife requires handicap access, and the two handicap parking spots that are designed to be for customers is jammed with rubbish. I'm not sure if this is a code violation, but its certainly insulting to customers that is for sure!

Great Bar area and cocktails ruined by unfriendly foul mouthed bar tender. The dining room - previously full of character is now a vacuum of originality.

Very good tasting food served in an elegant “New England type” dining room. French/ American cuisine. Among the appetizers, Deviled Eggs and Smoked Trout Rillettes were very good. The special ‘soup of the day' Celery Root Veloute was very tasty. Among the entrees, Olive oil poached Halibut and Pan-seared Scallops were very good. Among the desserts, Crème Brûlée and Cheesecake were good. Good wine list with some good wine-by-the glass options. Good service.

we had a lovely experience at the Benjamin! The food was truly wonderful, as was the service and the ambience . We went on a Sunday evening, so it was nice and quiet. we definitely will go back.!

I think the food was average. The staff was nice but was slow. There are much better options in town for the same food. Filet was a bit overcooked around the edges Mussels were not well cleaned and some were overcooked. Apple cobbler was tasty. May have just been an off night. Will stick to our go to place in town instead. Def miss Bernard's :(

-warm welcome from the host was lovely -bar had nice energy that was wrecked by swearing barman arguing with his coworkers -dining room aesthetic: Chip and Joanna Gaines renovate a conference center dining room -server was attentive and friendly -$9 "bread service" are you kidding -food was sub par for price. A tablespoon's worth of tuna tartar that had the taste and presentation style of gefilte fish (not a compliment) (I'm thinking of Woody Allen - terrible food and such small portions). Lamb shank dry.

The upstairs is very open to the bar and a large party of women made it impossible to were anything in the dining area. Service was attentive but pretentious. "Are we still enjoying...?" A little too expensive for what it is.

The food was great, our waiter was wonderful, the interior is absolutely stunning…. however the service (other than the waiter) wasn’t great as our food came out cold. We also were plated the wrong meals a few times and the busboy noticed but didn’t try to fix it.Also, if one orders absinth, it should be served in a highball with a carafe of cold water on the side, not straight in an after dinner cognac glass without water to distill. Absinth is unsinkable without water to mix into it. This is very improper and for $437 for 4 people, it needs to be fixed asap. I don’t expect a NYC meal, but I expect the basics. Work to be done!

The food is delicious and well executed. Halibut is so soft and juicy and the couscous is a perfect touch. There was a lamb special that my husband loved. The dessert was chocolate cake that was really good. The mocktails and cocktails are delightful. The service is very attentive, they spare no detail.

We had another amazing dinner last night at The Benjamin. I started with a White Linen cocktail. So good. Our appetizer was octopus, their special last night. Perfectly cooked, a real treat! We had the scallops and the duck as our main courses. Also perfectly cooked and beautiful presentation. For dessert we tried their pear tart, GF, excellent! We love The Benjamin and highly recommend! Thank you Shane for a perfect evening!

Went to the Benjamin with a little apprehension as I was worried what became of the place after Sarah and Bernard have left, they were (and still are) icons in this town. Was pleased that the new restaurant is in capable and loving hands, S&B found us wonderful new owners, a terrific new addition to town. The superlative - The staff. Not only did we get personalized service before and after the meal, but the depth of knowledge that Matt brought to us was truly impressive. Not only did Matt have every answer for us, but when I mentioned I could not find a certain drink (Blanton's) Matt gave me a great suggestion where to purchase it, and I'm not willing to share that tidbit with you here. Jacob in training was very helpful and friendly as well. Plus when you leave if you pick up your left over food at the front (an excellent idea) Scott is wonderful as well. You must get the bread service to try their homemade butter tray. The Pear Tart is divine. The Great - the new decor was really well done, everything is up to date and looks great. The food was superior. My waygu burger was amazing, best value on the menu. Wife's Sancerre and scallops were excellent. Beer selection was ok, but all the beers on the list are excellent and highly rated. Truffle fries were perfect. The Good - They improved the entrance to the restaurant to keep out the cold, that was a good idea. Nice tea selection. The Poor - nada The Bad - nada Overall, 5 stars, this level of service and quality of food merit a perfect score. Plus the price was quite reasonable for this. Well done, I look forward to returning.

There was grit/sand in the main entry, duck. Both our meals arrived lukewarm and my soup special was anything but special, served without a spoon. Eventually, i managed ti get a spoon, not a soup spoon but teaspoon- i should be thankful it wasn't a salt spoon. The second round of drinks never arrived but was initially included in the bill.

While I enjoyed the ambiance, the food just fell short. The Benjamin gets "Lost in the sauce" somewhere between causal and fine dinning. We started the meal with the tuna tartare. The lemongrass overwhelmed the dish, the tuna was just lost and felt non existent. There was a little confusion when we ordered our main courses, apparently there was a miscount of scallop portions available for the evening, which was discovered 20 mins after we put in our order. While this was rectified by comping a drink and a dessert, it was a little disappointing. As a result our mains consisted of lamb shank and burger. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked, but needed salt. It was smothered in a thick brown sauce, that lacked depth. The pomme purée (mashed potatoes) and Brussels sprouts saved the dish, and when combined, was the best bite of the main course. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The bacon was smoky and thick, which was a nice accent to the patty. Occasionally, there was an overwhelming and unpleasant vinegar taste, that drowned out all other flavors. For dessert we ordered the apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. This is as absolutely delish, and paired perfectly with the espresso martini. The ice cream was soft and creamy, the cobbler was warm and had crispy topping, a great pairing. Overall, The Benjamin was confusing. With some highs and lows over the course of the meal. For the price point, I was really hoping things would be better.
