We had lunch there today with another couple for the first time.We did not like the previous restaurant at this location but this was surprisingly different. The place was completely redecorated and the food and service was excellent. Our server Katy gave us all the time we requested to catch up with our friends whom we had not seen in quite awhile. We will definitely return for dinner soon.We felt as though we were dining in the city which we often do when attending a show.We will be back.Great job.

Really great spot. I had been thinking of trying it for a while, and wasn’t sure what to expect. I can say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of all of the dishes. The food was all perfectly cooked, really well seasoned and extremely tasty. We will definitely be back!

First time at Sugo last night, what a treat!! Arrived just before 6:00 the bar was packed. We were seated at a nice table by the bar. The bartender was quick to come over to get our drink order. Drinks arrived quickly and were amazing. We decided to order a few small plates from their happy hour menu. All were wonderful, however the burrata affogato was a standout. The sauce was killer, so fresh and clean with really great flavors. We raved to our server, who must have told the owner. The owner Rick then came to our table, introduced himself and gave us a little of his background. Truly a nice guy and very appreciative. We finished with a wonderful pistachio cheesecake made in house. We’re not sure how we had missed this place since they have been there for over a year now but I can tell you that it will now become one of our regulars. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Especially the items with their amazing sauce. I now understand why Rick named it Sugo!! Well done!

Nice quiet lunch. Went on a weekday. Got the price fixe meal. Great soup of the day, chowder with bacon and veggies. Chicken Scaripelli. ( I spelt that wrong, sorry) and expresso sorbet. Delicious. First time here would go back.

I had a great experience! Great service!! First served up a great crunchy,, and soft bread with an awesome oil and spiced right dipping "sauce" it was perfect. I had the fried Artichoke hearts and loved them. Lemon and a great mild dipping sauce, they were very good, I could eat these forever. Then I had the NY Style 12" Mozzarella pizza!! Perfect! and italian spiced right!! Put on some fresh parm and loved watching most melt as it hit the mozz. A perfect lunch spot!! You should try this restaurant for a great experience. I can't wait to try dinner here, when I have more time.

Just went to Sugo for the first time. Top notch service, great ambiance, and delicious food. Best kept secret in Newtown area. Fresh pasta was amazing as was the Burrata pizza. Perfect for a date night or night out with friends. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. They also have weekend brunch and happy hour specials. Can't wait to go back. Owner and staff were very accommodating.

Great food. Took one star off the atmosphere only because of the acoustics, it gets very loud. If you're looking for a quiet place for dinner and a conversation this might not be your first choice.Everything else incl service was excellent! Good cocktails as well. The restaurant lives up to its name, the sauce is very good. Tastes like real tomato and not too sweet .

We went for my parents anniversary, wanted to try this place out since it had recently opened. Things started out great, friendly staff, quick seating, and bread at the table. Our issues occurred when main Entrees were brought out. 2 of our party ordered the same special but what they got were 2 variations of the same dish and both were missing a key ingredient....chicken. When let the waitress known and she was right on it. However the kitchen still did not provide an adequate dish on the second try for either person. I will say that our 6 other dishes were fine and quite tasty. Will have to go back and try it again.
