I love croissants and I am always looking to find a bakery that makes the best croissants. I've tried many bakeries in NYC and also in CT. I stopped by Uncle Matt's today and tried my usual order when I try out a new bakery - plain croissant and a baguette. The croissant has to be one of the best I've tried in CT. Absolutely stellar baked goods, excellent and varied coffee options (today I had a Gingerbread latte) and a delicious bacon egg and cheddar on a brioche. Friendly service and outdoor seating. The inside is cute. So many options for fresh bread and pastries! This was the second time my husband and I came and it def won't be the last !

Everyone needs Uncle Matt's bakery! Quality, freshly baked goods. No matter what I get, I have to add a biscuit every time I'm here. The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is... its a little dirty/dusty/sticky feeling inside. I hope the kitchen is much cleaner than the customer area...but if it wasn't I can't say that'll stop me from frequenting this place haha. Also, the staff overall are friendly.
