SoG is also an anchor to the South Glastonbury community and provides a meeting place for locals and travelers. “This place is an amazing place, great atmosphere with great staff that’s knowledgeable of the their menu. The teas are made in house and are phenomenal. A must try is the Jasmine green tea. Now onto the sweets, just wow mochi donuts and their ube ice cream is just amazing.“

“We were looking for a new unique breakfast place during the week and found zinneken's. The music was very loud when walking in- perhaps to cover up the sounds of nearby construction noise. We were surprised that only bottled water was available instead of tap, but not a dealbreaker. The savory poached egg waffle was very nicely served and tasty. We didn't find the seating to be especially comfortable or spacious. The food was great, but overpriced as if it were a more inviting, nicer quality place.“

“I came across Semilla cafe this past weekend after a yoga session in Hartford and I’m very glad I did. I snagged a hot Ovaltine with oat milk which was a really nice malted hot chocolate flavor, plus a lemon bar that was very good. While all that is enough to go back I also found a gem in their store side of things where they had a bacon jam. The breakfast sandwiches I have made with that every day since I bought it are amazing and I will definitely be back for more. The decor, local art, cute free library and the overall welcoming feel of the place was great to experience.“

“I was pleasantly surprised to find such a spot for light snacking and entertainment on the Middletown strip. I believe Back Again Cafe proves itself to be a great central hub location to meet friends, dates, and family for great snacks, drinks, and games! My friends and I like to meet to play MTG. “I luuuuvvvv this place. They have monthly specials (check their instagram) that are illustrated on a chalkboard near the counter. Their service is fast and you can order ahead on their website if you're in a hurry. However I recommend hanging out to absorb the vibes. I love all the paintings on the wall and the secret-eyeball-tree sculpture reminds me of something out of Meowolf. Plus the baristas are friendly and always ready to recommend a drink or new flavor in stock. It's also the only coffee shop whose merch I constantly drool over, just so fun and tongue in cheek. “This is one of my favorite places!! The food and drinks are amazing — the chopped salad is my go-to! They have tons of classes for all ages on top of being able to pop in and paint something any day of the week. They also have a small business market one weekend a month May-October with tons of awesome small businesses including jewelry, pottery, floral designs, stickers, paintings, soaps, teas and tinctures, permanent jewelry, clothing, candles and so much more. “Found a table quickly at 11am on a Saturday, and the wait in line as well as the wait for our orders was short. I got the Lemon poppyseed scone and it was fantastic!Parking: More parking in the back but wheelchair access is in the front only. Handicap spots were unoccupied so I would imagine it's relatively easy to find a spot.“

Everyone that works here is so kind we love coming here as a fav neighborhood spot on the weekends. Their coffee, lattes, etc are unmatched the quality is incredible. “We hosted our friend’s Celebration of Life at WeHa. Cody was flexible with us about the date/timing of the party as it coincided with an already pre-planned event. “I found this hiddened gem decided to try it today ,02/10/2024. I order a dozen of their most loved donuts plus their fancy ones.a large coffee . “A number of people have raved about Mitchell's on Main. I have eaten at a Mitchell's before, but not this one. I have also eaten in the building housing this Mitchell's when it was a different breakfast place. Mitchell's is not fancy and offers reasonably priced breakfast options. We had a short wait for a table for 5 people on a Saturday morning. They managed the line well and service was pretty efficient once we were seated. I ordered a Sausage Egg & Cheese on an everything bagel. It was decent. The sausage was in link form, which is not ideal for a bagel sandwich. The cheese could have been a bit more melted. Nothing really stood out positive or negative otherwise. I also ordered a side of corn beef hash. It was a fairly standard version. It didn't pop for me, but it was fine. My son ordered a chili omelette with cheese and some veggies. He was thrilled with it. I had a couple bites and it was definitely the best thing I tasted that morning. The chili was sweet. Mitchell's is a fair breakfast spot, and when you factor in price, it certainly could be an appealing option for some people. I prefer other breakfast options within my driving radius. 3.5 Stars“

“A quaint and quiet spot within the expansively characteristic building at Glen Lochen in Glastonbury. This is a place where you feel like you can sit and do a days work at your laptop, yet let your hair down at their advertised open mic night, put a record on the record player or read one of the many books they have ready to peak into.“

“I came in to Kung Fu Tea for the first time and I must say, the staff is amazing and very attentive and friendly. They have may opinions and it was hard to decide, they were patient with me and made awesome recommendations. I had the guava tea with popping mango and it was absolutely the best tea I have ever had. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place for tea and to have an enjoyable experience.Kid-friendliness: I seen a few kids with their parents and I plan on bringing my daughters there again. They also have a cold drink called the Jake’s that is delicious. “I'm not the biggest fan of Gong Cha's teas, but I HAD to go when I saw their gingerbread man cups all over social media. Definitely worth it. The cup was adorable and I was actually very pleasantly surprised by the taste of the gingerbread milk tea. You can't adjust the sweetness of this drink, and the sweetness was tolerable. The flavor was also very on point and tasted just like gingerbread. The drink itself was SO creamy, though, because of the milk foam. I would get this flavor again.“

Lauren and her team have allowed me to focus on customers and my business and not the often difficult process of ordering lunch quickly at other establishments.The first time I had a large order - it was 11 drinks for the office. HBC had straws, sweeteners, everything ready quickly on trays. They value my time, smile, and get it right.
