“To reviewer tmG9470YS - I think you have reviewed the wrong bakery. Our bakery is spotless, all our baked goods are baked fresh and we don't even use the dumpsters (we dont want to attract bears). So I don't know where you went and a found a dirty bakery and found box mixes in the dumpsters it was not Southbury Baking Company. It must have been another local bakery. “If you're ever driving down Route 25 in Newtown, you must stop and grab some authentic Brazilian cheese bread from the Cheese read factory! It is a great little gem tucked next to a gas station. Their cheese bread is AMAZING! fresh, light and delish! I walked out with 1 package of each type of bread they make! If you have time, order the cheeseburger on a cheese bread bun you will not be disappointed! I promise!!“

“Wonderful little pastry and bakery shop. The place might be small but gosh! The quality is really high. I walked away with the Tres Leches (3 milk) cake and their Coconut cream tart as well as a slice of pound cake to snack on. My friend had the same coconut cream tart and ordered a bunch of their cookies - neither of us were complaining. I practically inhaled my tres leches cake. The owner is friendly as well. When I asked her which 3 milks did she use for her tres leches cake, I asked because the recipe I use has coconut milk. She said that she can't use coconut milk because "this is Connecticut" which I'm guessing means that even something as bland as coconut milk is probably too exotic for Connecticut WASPs. Still I hope this place sticks around because her offerings are wonderful and Woodbury needs some a dose of exoticness.“

“Probably the most underrated restaurant I've eaten at in a long time. I'm an Italian and I'm picky and this Mexican family has mastered making pizza. We've also tried their Mexican cuisine delicious. A nice bunch of people nice clean kitchen. First five star review I've given in 5 years to a restaurant.“

“Gayle's is a spot to go get breakfast classics. They do it well. If you want some fancy breakfast that is 3 times the price this is not your spot. Eggs benny is my rec. service is great and super fast. Great if you have young kids who don't like waiting.“
