Good bread but WHY do you package it in plastic bags which ruins the texture????

Curtis provides the customer service that is hard to find. He is so kind and took time to explain any items of interest. I would 10/10 come back to this specific location because of the service he provided.

their pastries are so bad that they're better off to be used as a paper weight. they have better danishes at the behavioral health hospital than this place makes.

The best bread in Fairfield County for sure! Great selection, crusty outside soft inside.

I was sitting in Parkway Diner looking across the street and COBS caught my eye. I thought they were named after Cos Cob but apparently they are a chain. An international chain with only one US location, right here in Stamford. Okay, then, COBS we go! I had my eye on a bread loaf for some carbs. But I wasn't sure if I wanted their Cape Seed bread. 9 types of seeds but not clear if you get the nice big seeds throughout the dough that I like. I asked about it and they simply took an entire loaf and sliced it, then handed out samples to my entire group. And then just packaged the bread and handed it over and said "this is on us". Yes, it's later in the day. Maybe you could tell I wasn't really sold on the bread. But my. goodness. how friendly and helpful and customer-oriented these people are! Oh, and they donate unbought food at the end of the day to a local food pantry. With all this, I decided to buy a couple of scones and leave an extra-generous tip for the bread. Let me tell you, the triple chocolate scone is tasty, unexpected icing and unique flavor throughout, but the lemon blueberry? Oh. My. Gosh. Divine. SOOOOO much blueberry flavour (since they're international and giving out scones, I will spell it their way) in every bite. So glad I brought these scones home and now I'm looking at the bag as I type this, preparing to lick the blueberry remnants from the wrapper. Sounds like 5 stars to me.

Passing through Stamford, we were curious to try some bread and pastries from COBS Bread, which is a Canadian-based bakery with only 2 locations in CT. The smell of the baked goods was noticeable right away and made us so excited to pick out what we wanted! My fiancé and I let several people go ahead of us in line as we were still trying to decide what to order, and while we were deliberating the manager brought us over a white chocolate blueberry scone to enjoy complimentary. It was such a nice gesture and not one that you see too often! Our favorites that we picked up here were the sourdough cob and sea salt and black pepper Turkish bread. The pastries were good too, but I did think my chocolate raspberry croissant was missing the raspberry flavor completely. The store is on the smaller side, so there is zero seating inside and no tables in front of the store outside either. No preservatives are used here, and I was happy to learn that whatever they don’t sell at the end of the night is donated to local charities.

Stopped in to get a treat for the road. We were on the way to drop my daughter off at college. We decided to get a loaf of sourdough for her dorm room as well. The girl at the counter gave my daughter the loaf of bread for free as a gift for her dorm. That was very kind and very much appreciated. Thank you! The scones we bought as a treat were amazing too!

I always get a scone, pizza, or the bun with bacon and cheese. So fresh and comforting!

Most bakeries have all their bread out when they open, last three times i went at 8am they didn't have rolls or white loaf ready yet and said i should come back at 10.

Great local bakery with excellent baguettes and house bread, and interesting and delicious sweet treats that rotate and change with the seasons.
