Sunday lunch for a table of six persons. 3 ordered chicken francais, one a medium pizza. One blackened salmon and salad. One ordered squid chunks ( not fried) on top of linguini. Food is quite average. Quite A Large place , with substantial banquet type facilities. You get pasta or salad with entree's, not both. Good sized portions and prices ok, not great. Have Decent pizza. A Soft , thin crust. But tasty and properly baked. Price for medium pizza around 20. 7-8 large slices. Filling. Have abundant valet parking. You need valet parking at night. Area around this restaurant is not the safest. Limited on street parking. Just ok. You won't go away hungry. But There are def better Italian restaurants in Stamford.

Great Italian restaurant with family feel. Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Chicken Scarpiello is one of my favorites.

Had lunch with a buddy here recently. Old school place. Spots like this are a dying breed. We started with shrimp, scungilli, and the arugula salad. The shrimp was disappointing, I would not order again. Buddy had the lasagna which he destroyed, huge portion. I had the blacked salmon special which was very good, nice filet. The broccoli rabe was great, lots of garlic. Looking forward to my next visit.

It's a miss for me. My first time went with friends. It is either overflavored or under flavored. For instance the salad for three was swimming in dressing. Overflavored. The chicken parmesan with ziti and red sauce, under flavored. I could go as far to say bland. The chicken parm had no flavor, the chicken had no flavor in the bread crumbs or that little bit of crispness from being cooked. The cheese bland. Stick the thing under the broiler for 3 minutes... The sauce, red, lacked any taste. Let's jump ahead to dessert. I know The Little Pie Company. I know the pies they sell. The SLIVER of pie I ordered an actual S L I V E R was from there but they heated it up taking away all the flavor of the pie. They can call it Dutch Apple Pie but Sour Cream Apple Walnut Pie is too distinct a pie for you to try an fool us. The place filled up for the dinner hour with what I can only think of as locals all of a certain age who prob have been going for years. I may give it another shot but neither of my my dining companions had anything better than my entree.

Very good Italian food in Stamford! This is another example of Stamford being one of best food cities in the Westchester/Fairfield county area. Pellicci's is a lovely Italian restaurant located within the city of Stamford. It has been around for a long time and is a neighborhood favorite. It is large, with three different dining areas and a waitstaff that is responsive and helpful. We had one bad experience with a server who made three mistakes at one of our first visits to Pellicci's, but we haven't seen him for a while, and the other servers we've had since have been great. My favorite dish is the lobster ravioli. That's what I get when there aren't any tempting specials. In the fall, they have a squash/pumpkin ravioli special that is also highly recommended. I hear the veal Marsala is also very good. Dishes I would avoid are the seafood lasagna special and the seafood bisque special. They both sounded amazing but were actually pretty disappointing.

Ordered five pizzas delivered. Took over two hours. I called to find out where they were. They could care less.

Came across this Italian restaurant while visiting Stamford, looking for a fine dining atmosphere with affordable prices, near our hotel. We parked on a side street & braved the cold walk to the restaurant. Upon entering we were blasted with comforted heat & greeted by the seasoned & homely hostess, who sat us immediately. The atmosphere had a family air to it. Other diners appeared to be regulars & were enjoying their time chatting with the waiters & waitresses. The bar was visible & many were in their watching the games, joking around. Our hostess doubled as our waitress & was very patient with us as we looked over the extensive menus & took our time choosing. Our choices consisted of Fried Mozzarella for the app, Chicken Parmesan & Chicken Scarpiello for the entrée, both with salads, & Creme Brulee for dessert. The app was absolutely delicious! We had an in depth discussion on them. Landing on decision that they were freshly made in house & are not frozen. The shape of the fried mozzarella were various round shapes & the cheese was gooey, with a little cheese pull. I haven't had one like it anywhere else. The house salads were also cold, fresh & crisp, just how I like it. The portions were impressive. The Scarpiello had so much flavor. I found myself soaking up the sauce with the table bread. Which was our second basket since we were going to town on the dipping oil we concocted while reviewing the menu. Unfortunately, the Chicken Parm & creme brulee fell short for us. The breading & cook of the chicken were spot on, but the tomato sauce tasted like it was poured out of a can & no seasonings were added. Additionally, there was barely any cheese on the chicken. The dessert was lacking. The top was barely crusty & didn't have the cracking sound one hopes to hear from torched sugar. The creme had an odd texture & was a slightly gritty. This is one of my favorite desserts so I was disappointed. However, we did leave full & it didn't have much regret since the prices were decent.
