Hadn't been to Tigin in many many years ...the world was not addicted to social media.... ?With that said I had a little nostalgia for it. The interior is a warrenry place with little nooks and crannies. Great for smaller intimate get togethers. A wide selection of liquors. Didn't check out what they had on tap just went straight to the Guinness. Now the food, great wedge fries just a slightly small serving. The Reuben was a bit disappointing. Not quite the comfort food size and a bit plain. The wings well the bbq ones were just an odd flavor perhaps the buffalo versions are more traditional.Certainly other things on the menu to try but not the most satisfying on this return.

FOR BLACK GUEST, IMPORTANT: My mother, sister and I visited after the parade before it got busy. Acknowledge the waitress letting us know that the “bar was short staff”, even though we visited for the food. We waited 30 minutes and every guest that sat down after we arrived received their drinks before us. I had to go inside to request our drinks again because it seemed that our waitress forgot we were there. We finally got a drinks almost 20 minutes later and were able to order our meals. An hour went by and we noticed that people who arrived way after we sat down were finishing their meals and leaving. By then the guest next to us apologized because they recognized the difference in service we were receiving. At that point my family and I decided to leave because we came to terms that we weren’t welcomed. During our wait, I didn’t want to assume there was any racial treatment happening but when several guest who arrive before you are given better service….then it’s hard to not think that way. Plus another guest notice this as well, and shared some sympathy. In summary, we spent two hours waiting for our food while other guests received better service, even though they arrive later than us. For black guest, you might experience this depending on your waiter or waitress. If you’re not black, this isn’t for you.

So being a Stamford native I remember well the novelty of drinking & eating at Tigin. But having children and the like it has been almost 15 years since I stepped foot inside. That changed this past Saturday. Tigin has aged very well. Like a fine wine it brought back a lot of memories for me. The fish & chips were fantastic. The pint was a perfect pour. And the staff just lovely as my British wife likes to say. Looking forward to a return much much sooner than 15 years.

This is about as close as you'll get to an Irish pub this side of the pond. Good food, reasonably priced, and a fun place to goParking: It's all paid parking nearby. Enforced until 8pm, except Sundays and holidays. And relatively expensive.

This is NOT an Irish Pub! The inside does not look or feel like an Irish pub! The food was not good either. The Reuben was nothing to write home about. The bread was hard has a rock. The corned beef was ok and the cole slaw was awful! The grilled chicken sandwich with mozzarella, roasted peppers and lettuce was disgusting! The chicken was dry, the mozzarella cheese was "wet" and there was only one tiny piece of red roasted pepper. The lettuce was wilted and warm. The chips were the only good thing. My daughter asked for stone ground mustard (a staple with a Reuben sandwich) and she was told we told "we don't have it, but we do have our house made honey mustard." It's good, but not at the cost. My wine was OK, but not worth $13.00 a glass. Kyle never checked on us to see if we needed anything. Never offered my daughter another Diet Coke. The restaurant wasn't busy, it was a Thursday night. - If you LOVE Irish food, do NOT go here!
