“What a gem in Stratford, ct! My young daughter has food allergies and I was happy to find a place I can regularly pick her up some delicious vegan treats! They even made her birthday cake this year! The coffee, and tea are outstanding and they have seasonal specials for drinks and food! The staff is so helpful answering my questions about food ingredients. I highly recommend!“
“Chic and Pristine!! Just moved to Stratford and this little cafe is right down the street from my house! The empanadas are delicious and the coffee is yummy! Everything else? I’m simply excited to try. You can come sit with your laptop, it’s usually quiet and that’s a great thing! I know I’ll be coming here a lot.“
“Great place for a coffee and a quick bite to eat. On warm days I love sitting outside where I get a nice cool breeze coming in from the nearby beach, and for days where the weather is less than spectacular, I can relax inside and let the warm atmosphere keep me comfortable. The espresso drinks are fantastic, and the chocolate croissant is a nice mix of buttery pastry with a not too sweet chocolate filling.Parking: Parking is limited directly in front of the store, but you can usually find a spot further down that strip, or park across the street in the few spots they have marked as "15 minutes only"“
“One of our local favorite stops. We had lunch on Saturday before the Super Bowl. Staff, as always, are very accommodating. We had two Big Mack burgers ? with a side salad. It's one of the best damn burgers we've had in a while! Go and enjoy.“
“Very peaceful , calm, & clean spot. Yummy coffee. I recommend the iced muddy waters; super light, simple & yummy. Good breakfast. It has a little library inside, quite spot to read a book & sip on your drink. Great place overall :)“
“Omg delicious, me and my family loved it. I hope you continue like this with your service and your authenticity in terms of food and everything else. For my Latinos in Connecticut, I tell you that it is the best thing I have ever eaten when it comes to breakfast. in CT.. ?“
“Stopped in one morning after a class at rowhouse. Clean place and there was a long line. The coffee is already made and pumped out (or take. From the chiller for the ice coffee). I got the pistachio which was pretty good. Also tried the ketogenic plant-based eggs. Not sure the brand. But it was Meh. The worker offered to add either chives, "cheese" or "bacon" bits, which was nice. I went with the chives. Glad I did, because not sure if it would have had any flavor otherwise. In short, go for the coffee...maybe they will expand their menu in the future. Some protein muffins, oatmeal or grits would be great...“
“I love this English Cafe. The staff was so friendly and efficient. The food was very good. The tea party going on was charming. Order 2 days in advance and get tea, 2 trays of 3 tier trays of fresh made cakes and petit fours! Not a large place so call for reservations!Parking: Find a spot on the side street.Kid-friendliness: I saw five tween girls having a formal tea party. They were well behaved.Wheelchair accessibility: I think a wheelchair can roll in the front door. In nice weather there is outside seating.“
“Now, I never ever write reviews, as I’m just an easy-going, genuine girl who will say whatever she feels best in person, but after taking a single sip of my ‘Iced Peeps Latte’ made by the name ‘Emily’ on my receipt, or whoever the absolute sweetheart is working at 6:40 PM on 03/21/24, I could not go without writing this and making sure she gets her due credit. I have been a loyal customer to Plasko’s for as long as I can remember, having grown up right around the corner from here in Stratford, CT, and come in just about on a weekly basis now, and this coffee I just received is hands-down the best one I’ve ever tasted in my life. I’m the biggest coffee lover I know, and I just need my fellow customers and the admirable staff to know here that this amazing human being went above and beyond in her customer service skills, made me feel so welcomed and seen right away, took my order with care and letted me know that this was her first time making this seasonal drink yet as it just dropped on their menu today, and I just have to say they absolutely made it to pure perfection. Thank you, Emily, or whoever you may be checked-in at this time, and the Plasko’s team for never failing to deliver precisely what I’m looking for and more, always exceeding any expectations one can have for their trip here. You will always be like home to me. Sincerely, An In-Awe Customer For Life ❤️“
“Really good coffee. They rotate the beans they use so sometimes so sometimes it tastes different but they roast beans in house and it makes for some of the best coffee in town. Their breakfast sandwich is also great, with crispy bacon and eggs that aren't over or under-dome, and the best part is the pretzel style bun they put it on. 5/5 favorite breakfast sandwich.“
“Cafe 4 is a little hidden gem in Shelton! It’s tucked away in Tower 4 of the Corporate Enterprise Towers, and maybe it’s out of their control, but I think some signage down on the main road and right outside of the tower would really help to boost business. If you work in the towers, you should consider yourself lucky to have such a nice place for breakfast and lunch - I’m certainly jealous! The chicken cutlet on the club sandwich was so flavorful, and we were lucky to catch the chef’s award-winning chili verde that day, and it was DELICIOUS. It’s no surprise it was featured in Brian Baumgartner’s (Kevin from The Office) chili cookbook and has repeatedly won awards at The Meadowlands! The clam chowder and fish taco special were tasty too, and we loved the homemade vinaigrette and candied walnuts on the grilled chicken salad. If we had one critique, we thought that the burger was a bit well-done for our liking. The shortbread cookies we had for a treat were sooo good - served chilled and with a chocolate filling, my mom said they reminded her of Magic Middle’s from when she was a kid. Unfortunately I probably won’t be able to stop here too much because I’m not often off from work during the week, and they’re only open during the week, but I’ll try to make another visit when I can!“
“A great oasis for a place to grab a bite, terrific coffees and teas, and freshly made salads and sandwiches, along with pastries. All locally sourced from CT companies. Ryan and the group make sure everything is running smooth and the vibe is perfect for getting work done or meeting up.“
“Pretty comfy coffee shop feel... Good cold brew. You clear your own plate but staff is friendly enough. The inside has a bit of a cramped layout but a great downtown homey feel to it.Parking: Parking mostly across street at train station or farther down on the street“
“Great place, great food, staff very nice. Only reason didn't give 5 stars all around was atmosphere-more of a sports bar atmosphere not really my thing and not from the area so felt kinda like a newbie. Service was a bit slow but it was pretty busy. Fries were cold when I got them but they made a whole new huge batch and they were absolutely delicious! Best drink and food prices anywhere I've found! We will definitely be back!“
“One thing that stood out to me was how well the staff knew their customers. They greeted many customers by name, which showed a level of familiarity and a sense of community. It was evident that the bakery values building relationships with their patrons. The Frappuccino was delicious. The blend of flavors was just right, and it provided a refreshing and enjoyable treat.“
“My fiancé and I love the bar and atmosphere in here, we asked the owner if we could take our engagement photos in the restaurant around the bar area. Not only did they say yes, but they were so accommodating, making sure that we had everything that we needed and also sacrificing some valuable seating room at the bar so that we could finish getting our shots. We will be returning to the Sinclair for sure!!“
“The food was tasty but it took over 40 minutes for two plates to come out. We were worried about missing our train when we previously had tons of time to kill. Grits were amazing. Eggs were basic. Presentation wasn't the best. My friend liked her sandwich (Royalty with fries) so bumped up a star but the Queens delight breakfast, while somewhat tasty, is not worth the wait. Decor could use improvement but created an okay atmosphere.“
“Good soups however if you have a favorite you may have to be patient they sellout or don't make some of their options in a regular basis Another watch-out for is some bathes are saltier than others so I recommend Saratoga before buying“
“Overall, loved the ambiance- the decor is nice, and the bustle is cheerful. The food was warm and filling, very solid. (Pancakes are very fluffy)Kid-friendliness: It’s very kid friendly and family oriented, saw lots of local parents with their kids“
“My daughter & I were walking down Main Street and saw the ice cream sign. This ice cream shop is at the back of a jewelry store. We both had a double scoop of ice cream (mango, papaya), it was very good and refreshing. There is some seating inside.“
“Happened to stumble on to this place. I'm always keeping an eye out for health spots or juice/smoothie spots; and this place is phenomenal. I've visited here on two separate occasions and both experiences were very friendly. They are knowledgeable and have a positive energy and atmosphere. I truly enjoyed talking with them about health & fitness as well as local small talk. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great smoothie and/or tea.“
“Let's go out and show love for Wali Kafe. They had downtown lit last night. Nice mixed crowd. The drink prices were reasonable. The Dj was fire. Me and my daughter stopped in to have a drink for her birthday. My margarita was a miss, no sugar or salt on the rim. Very laid back. Go support and check them out.“
“My husband and I dropped by for a spontaneous date. The restaurant is very relaxed and welcoming. Food was incredible. I had a Rueben sandwich and it was spectacular. Their pastries were as so top notch. Service was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place for casual dates.“
“"I'm obsessed with this place! I eat their chicken tacos and burrito bowls way too often, but it's just so good. The ingredients are always fresh, the flavors are incredible, and it feels homemade – like something my grandma would make.“
