“Stopped by for lunch Birria tacos!Service was quick and courteous and presentation was excellent, but it was extremely salty, which is significant because I love salt. I've been there before and don't remember it being like that, so I'm hopeful it was just this batch of their Birria / consommé.“

“I got the chicken and beef fajitas. They were pretty good, my friend got chicken tacos and a quesadilla. She also liked her food. Service is good, food is delicious, the orchata and tamarind deinks are amazing here. Parking is so so, prices are what you expect now a days. All around a 7 out of 10, in my opinion.“

“Stopped by for the first time for a drink and something to eat, I got the Frida Kahlo drink and not only was it the cutest drink I’ve ever received but it was really good! I also got the Birra Ramen and it was sooooo good! I’ll definitely be back to check out their karaoke and trivia nights but I really wish they were open later, I had friends who wanted to join after class but with them closing at 9 there just wasn’t time! “We were interested in finding a New Mexican restaurant in our area and were excited when we found Don Bigote. I was blown away by the flavors of every dish and drink we ordered starting with the complimentary chips and salsa. The waitress was nice and the manager came out to check on us as well. I was craving cocktail de Cameron and they had the best I have ever had. We also got empanadas and the burrito don bigote. For drinks we had Mexican candy which was to die for and the el jefe which was a on point marg. Looking forward to making this our new spot for when we are craving Mexican.“

“We went out for lunch on a rainy Saturday. The place wasn't too busy, maybe because of the rain. The restaurant was classy and clean; love the wall of candles. It really makes the place feel romantic. This was a pretty spacious restaurant too.They dropped off complimentary chips and salsa; the chips were super fresh and warm, the salsa was ok. We started off with the classic margaritas which were good. The waitress asked if we wanted large or small, we opted for large but didn't realize the price difference. A small was $11 and a large was $19; we probably should've looked at the price before purchasing it but it was a big margarita and it was good.I decided to get the super nachos as my meal because I love loaded nachos. This had fresh tortilla chips, ground beef, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. I thought it was pretty big and I got full off of it; I actually took the rest home. I had a bite of my husband's burrito and that was really good. Next time, I want to try out their combination meal, you have a choice between one, two, or three. You can pick burrito, enchilada, tostada, etc. The service was quick and attentive. Overall, a good Mexican restaurant in the area and I look forward to going back.“

When I call to make a reservation and let them know that there will be a wheelchair involved this restaurant could not be more accommodating. They help with the door and have a very accessible table well prepared. This is absolutely one of our favorite places to enjoy a meal if not our favorite. “The service is always excellent at PV Southington. As you can see from the pics, great presentation of the food and drinks. I had the peppers and filet mignon. I am generally not a fan of filet, but this dish was excellent. Meet was super tender and the peppers grilled perfectly. Tortilla soup was a tad salty for my taste, but the person who ordered it loved it. Margs are always presented in a very nice way. The fare is a slight notch above the typical dishes at your average Mexican restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend Puerto Vallarta if you are in the area.“

That wasn't even the part that was most disappointing....when handed the bill I questioned why the drinks were charged 1.50 more than the menu price....the answer oh that's our old menu. we'll then toss them out and give the new menu to customers....fale advertising is illegal. Ask your distributors to print new ones for you. I happen to work for one that would be more than happy to print new menus with correct pricing in exchange for a couple menu placements.“

“This is the best Mexican food I've had in both New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. I usually travel a lot and frequently visit new places. This is a hidden gem in a small venue. Everything has excellent flavor, well seasoned, freshly made and the prices are unbeatable. Definitely a place to eat several times a week. I recommend them to anyone. “I must say that I was really surprised with the quality of the food.it was my first time there so I purchased a variety of items to take home to the family. The chicken was so good. Cooked to perfection. The carbe asada is soft and juicy. The carnitas were cooked amazingly. Juicy yet xrispy at the same time. Usually a place like this does one item really well but this is not your typical place. They gave me a sample of their Birria and barbacoa. Just as delicious as as the other proteins. Also their sides were great. I bought rice, beans and potato salad. Definitely going back soon!“
