“We're currently training our dog, she's a good dog, but she hasn't been many places in public yet. Staff at Bad Dog was very understanding and kind when we explained. The crowd there was really sweet with her, and I can't say enough good things about the people who run Freedom Food Truck. We had a great time, and will be back often. All that on top of delicious food and beer, this will be a regular hang out for us. I'm so happy we finally stopped in! Thank you for being amazing, Bad Dog!”

“I came from New York to check out the new Pet Rainbow bridge which was beautiful !!! I came to Sawyers Restaurant & Bar and sat at the bar with my sister and friend. Our bartender was Katie! “The worst thing I can say about this place is that it was hard to find the door. I was in before it got busy it was just me and the bartender. I was killing time so I had a drink and left. The place was clean and looked like it was a neighborhood bar that had been remodeled recently to bring it up to date. There is a DJ booth and a dance floor, but seeing as it was only me and the bartender there was no dancing and only music when I was there. Bathroom was clean.”

“I'm a Field Tech from Western MA. A friend of mine took me to Jimmy's 45 years ago. Torrington is a ways to go, but I take jobs there just so I can go to Jimmy's. In 45 years little has changed, especially the quality of the prepared foods. I was raised on Italian food, and this is as good as it gets. I have a job in Torrington tomorrow. See you for lunch, and get something special for Sunday dinner. And the staff there is a joy as well.”

“have been to Brinx twice. Both times I had the everything bagel with cheese, egg and bacon. The bagel is slightly toasted and is both soft and tasty. They give plenty of cheese and plenty of bacon for the very reasonable price of $7.00, which is unmatched anywhere. The young man who serves is friendly and pleasant. The place looks a bit dusty but the tables are clean and the coffee is very good. I highly recommend this place.”

“Our entire family, six adults and two children, enjoyed a fabulous lunch here last Saturday. The food was absolutely delicious! We decided to go big and had the ribs, both types of sausage, pulled pork, brisket, pulled chicken, chicken leg and thigh, collard greens, Mac and cheese, coleslaw, cornbread and more. We ate our fill and had enough left overs for four adults to enjoy lunch and dinner on Sunday! The meats were perfectly smoked and the sides were incredible. If you're ever out that way, be sure to stop by Zach and Lou's for a delicious meal!

“Honestly one the most underrated pizzas in Connecticut (in my opinion). The sauce and ingredients are always PACKED with flavor, and the crust is always crunchy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Their peperoni and sausage is a must try!”

“Went here after going to Kid’s Play. The food was amazing! The portion sizes were bigger than expected! We ate Pho, noodle bowl, fried rice, and boas. Everything was so good and fresh! “I have been going to this Bakery for the better part of 15 years. I moved out of state and to this day every time I come home for the holidays I make it a point to order the Rum cake. It is hands down the best Rum cake I have ever had. The pastries are always phenomenal and the place is so nostalgic. It still is pretty vintage looking inside and has never changed and never needs to. Reminds me of my childhood. It has always been the same sweet woman behind the counter all this time and I think her husband works in the back. I love this place so much and it feels like home to me. It’s one thing in our town that has remained the same. I hope you all know how much this town appreciates you guys. My other favorites from here are the cookies. The breads filled with jam. Cannolis, Neapolitan & the Bavarian creme filled cake with coconut on top.”

“This place has won my loyalty for Sushi Rolls. I regularly come late at night and get the Atlanta Roll deep fried. The food here has soul and is rich in flavor. It’s always amazing. I tried another sushi place near the Taco Bell here in town that looks fancy but doesn't compare in the quality and savor of the food here. For those who value the quality of food this is the only place in Torrington I will go for Sushi and Japanese cuisine.

Last three visits, there were problems with each order….1st time, missing sweet &sour sauce for Sweet and Sour chicken combo meal, next time missing the egg rolls for the combo meals, now this time ordered (and paid for) teriyaki beef on a stick, got teriyaki chicken instead….used to be the best place around, but has gone down hill recently. I guess it’s time to re evaluate the other options in town.”

“This is a smaller eatery with lots of character and great service. I had breakfast and ordered the biscuits with sausage gravy and 2 lightly scrambled eggs, also smothered in the sausage gravy. Ordered, blinked, and my food was served, impressive for a small eatery. Great biscuits and sausage gravy and the eggs were cooked perfect. I also ordered home fries with onions which tasted great and were also cooked to perfection, I loved seeing the onions cooked well as in, some were even burnt, the way they're supposed to be. Stop by if you get a chance, you'll feel right at home.”

“I usually order take out and can't really judge the atmosphere but it is always pleasant when I pick up my order. This is my favorite place to get Chinese takeout. Always cooked correctly, fresh, and delicious. I'm also very sensitive to MSG and have never once had any issues with eating here, not always the case with many restuarants.

It's been a long while since I was ordering take out and faces have changed a bit so I can't be sure if it's the owners or employees when I pickup but everyone is always very nice and helpful. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend the steamed dumplings and my husband swears by their Beef Lo Mein.”

Everything was excellent . there was 10 nice size shrimp in my order , a lot of white rice , Chinese mixed vegetables . I have leftovers for tomorrow and so does my friend . Our dinner cost us around $36 which the prices have gone up like everywhere else but at least we both got dinners for the next day . so for $36 we got 4 meals out of it total . which is awesome! “I ordered catering for my small backyard wedding from franks. We always get our pizza from franks (which is the best in town) so I figured let’s get our catering from them too! We got the chicken piccata and sausage and peppers trays and we were blown away! I highly recommend franks. All of my guests loved it too everyone complimented the food. They were also very accommodating for us. We originally wanted food for 430 and then we wanted it sooner last minute so we called and they were there asap. Thank you franks !!!”
