“Best hamburger I've ever had. Got the Cadillac burger. Perfection. Yukon gold potatoes are scrumptious. I've also gotten their chicken sandwich the birdcage. That's also delicious. Honestly this is my favorite restaurant in the area. Service is also excellent.“
“Premium cut steak with exotic flavors at Parker. Steak & Scotch in Trumbull, CT. One of my favorite places for good steak and great service. For starters we ordered Lamb Lollipops (highly recommend ordering this) and boneless Chicken Wings. For the mains we ordered Filet Mignon with bearnaise, Short Ribs braised slow with port wine pan sauce, Tomahawk frenched Bone Ribeye and Fall of the bone Ribs with Onion Rings! All meats were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Ended this gorgeous dinner with carrot cake! The marbling, the sear, and the juiciness of the steaks was perfect. Ample parking, excellent service and great vibe. A must try if you are in the neighborhood!“
“Hosted a private surprise birthday party for lunch on a Saturday, it was perfect! Emails were responded to quickly. There was clear communication and organization of party expectations. Plenty of room and seating for 50 people, food was hot and delicious, drinks were made per request, and servers Jenny and Tom were amazing! They were kind and on top of everything! I am so happy and thankful for how my party turned out.“
“Pretty good bar for cocktails in Newtown center. The cocktails were creative- I got the non regurts which had a yogurt base. While the cocktail was very good, it still had a very strong mezcal taste. I'm not a huge mezcal fan and wouldn't have gotten this but the waitress promised that the other ingredients in the drink would mask the smokey taste, it did not. I then went back to my go to cocktail and ordered a dirty martini. The waitress explained that they took their house marinated olives and muddled it in so you get an extra dirty martini and she was right on this one, I enjoyed very much. Overall, a very nice place to drink on a Saturday night especially because they have live music after 8p!“
“Looking for a truly enjoyable dining experience? Visit Housatonic House! The warm, welcoming atmosphere, friendly service and tasty food make this place one of my favorites. Having eaten here a handful of times, I can tell you that their food is fresh and delicious. The burgers, salads, entrees and daily specials are fantastic. The servers are very attentive and pleasant (shout out to Ris, who always goes above and beyond!), and the owner, Mike, goes out of his way to walk around and check in on the customers. I highly recommend this restaurant - it's top notch.“
“I never heared about this restaurant. We didn’t have a reservation. In my opinion this restaurant is amazing , food is great , service good , drinks good. We had Passion fruit caphirina , shrimp ceviche , angus burguer , chicken and cheese empanada. Delicious. I love the decor and atmosphere , live music , and the bar looks pretty nice. I think was a little be busy at that time but not bad at all , was Thursday I was surprise. maybe I didn’t like where we were sit or how they set the tables but was not bad at all. Yes I recommend. I had a good time there.“
“I recently visited Crazy Horse Axe Throwing…. what a great night! There were six of us and we opted for one of the virtual lanes so we were able to choose different “games” and throw axes at zombies, ducks, etc. This was my first experience with axe throwing so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. The owner/instructor, Lenny is amazing… he took his time to show us how to properly handle and throw the axe; I felt comfortable asking for help as a first-timer. Even our friends who have axe thrown many times, learned a few tricks! When you visit, make sure you wear closed toe shoes. Not thinking, I wore sandals - fortunately one of my friends had sneakers in their vehicle. The place is in a small plaza and may not look like much from the outside, but it is really nice inside. Very clean and the bar is gorgeous! They also have a billiard area if you’re interested in playing pool. Everyone had a great time and we can’t wait to go back!“
“Through he grapevine I heard Dew Drop Inn had the BEST wings in Connecticut, so I made my way here to try them out myself!Atmosphere/Appearance: Let me tell you. It's a windy road to get here. Lol. But set right at a very non-traditional intersection of North Avenue & Roosevelt Drive is this gem. The outside doesn't look like much at all and there's maybe 6 parking spots to the left of the restaurant then there's another business across the street that MAY allow you to park there. At your own risk of course. Once on the inside the spot looks super modern and energetic. The back wall is all brick, the walls are painted with solid colors and there's a lil' easter egg to the right of the front entrance of The Incredible Hulk busting through the wall holding a plate of wings. Lol.Service: We sat right at the bar and the owner Jason was there so he was serving us directly. He was funny, accommodating and just was a genuine good time. Hiba, Meghan and Rachel were also very accommodating.Food: So while here I tried 7 different flavors of the 126 that are offered. I'll break them down one by one...Pink Peppercorn Lemon Thyme: They came out of the kitchen SO HOT. Lol, so be careful not to burn your mouth. They were AMAZING. Deliciously salty from the Himalayan sea salt, lemony and rounded out with some good Earthy flavors.Pink Peppercorn Lemon Curd: This is basically everything I described above, but with a delicious sauce on top. The sauce was a little honey-strawberry-lemon sweetness that complemented the wing excellently.Cilantro Lime Tahini: The cilantro flavor was an excellent base, but this may sound strange... but it almost tasted like refried beans. There was also a good cheesy flavor involved as well. It was so different and executed very well. Not a spicy wing for those that can't handle it.Cajun Garlic Butter Bacon: These were easily the tastiest "looking" wings due to all of the bacon pieces on top and they smelled simply incredible. Again, temperature hot, but these tasted like they were cooked IN a garlic oil. My goodness. The bacon added a meaty, hearty, salty, bacon-y flavor that just went well with the garlic and Cajun seasoning.Truffalo: This one is easy. Truffle and Buffalo mixed together. Excellent. I'm truffle-biased so of course I'd love these, but I could've used more truffle if I'm being honest.Strawberry Habanero: These were refreshing.. The strawberry flavor was very prevalent and it reminded me of a sweet & sour from a Chinese restaurant, buy elevated. I didn't get a lot of heat from these despite the name, but I loved it.Ghostly Habanero: While I didn't find the heat in the last flavor, it was all here. This was the hottest flavor on the menu at the time and rightfully so. These wings were gritty, sweet from the peppers and the heat was INSTANT. The habanero gave that initial jumpstart of heat, but the ghost pepper is the one that ramps up over time. It took about 3 minutes for the heat to FULLY kick in, but it definitely did. I teared up, I was sweating and this is not a wing I could eat a whole bunch of. Delicious though!Peanut Butter & Jelly: These were the hottest temperature wings we've had. Lol. Peanut butter is so incredibly dense so it just held all of that heat in. These were served with fluff as a dipping sauce. They were savory and sweet. Done very well.Value: Chicken wings are already expensive on their own, so adding this level of skillset to cook them, the materials and all brings an order of 6 to $10.99 for "Basic Flavors". "Not So Basic" is 6 for $11.75 and "Basically Ridiculous" as well as "Dessert" wings are 6 for $11.99. You can of course order them in bigger denominations, but there are 100% worth it.In conclusion, sadly, I haven't been back here since June of 2022, but I want to come back SO BAD. It's just literally an hour away from where I live. Lol. I will be back Jason! Thank you for everything.“
“This is an amazing restaurant! I had the Sammy Salmon and the food was amazing. Super fresh and seasoned to perfection. The kids meals are also a great portion for kids, my daughter is 8 and wasn’t able to finish her plate. For dessert we had the Tres Leches Cake and it did not disappoint, super moist and just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely recommend for the entire family!“
“I went here yesterday for my birthday with my husband. First off we were greeted immediately when we came in and were able to sit anywhere we wanted. Our server Rehna came over right away and was super friendly. I wasn't sure what cocktail to choose and she brought me a specialty cocktail menu. I can't remember the name of the drink but it had a cucumber taste and I think there was also muddled mint in it. It was SO FREAKIN GOOD!!!! Our food came out quick, but not too quick allowing us a chance to settle in. Everything was delicious and cooked and plated to our asking. (I am one of those people who like things "on the side") and might be annoying to some but not her. It was exactly as I asked. She checked on us to make sure everything was okay ? and it was great. Thank you so much for making my special day even better. We live in Southbury now but my husband grew up in Stratford and has been there many many times. When we are in the area again we will be sure to stop in again.“
“Lots of very tasty dishes. Good bar and bartender. The bartender was nice enough to write down the ingredients of one of the delicious drinks they had there. It's called a lemon drop martini. Very easy to ask for variations of a particular dish. My wife and I really enjoy the whole experience. We've been back multiple times.Parking: While driving, and if Aurora's is on your right, you go another about 20 yd and there is a narrow-ish driveway on your right. This goes to a lot with plenty of room.“
“My friend & I were in the area and stopped in for the first time. The staff were super friendly & attentive. We were able to be cozy on the couches and ordered wine flights - loved the variety! The cheese box was also so good to pair with the flights. We were full on wine & cheese. Such a cozy vibe for local drinks & a wine down. Will definitely be returning!“
“We visited My Bar & Grille for the first time with friends a few weeks ago. Was a great atmosphere, the food and drinks were all good, and the staff was friendly and courteous. Would certainly recommend My Bar & Grille for anyone visiting downtown Milford.“
“It’s a “ Different “ pizza can’t compare it to other Pizza’s places it’s in its own league! Taste WAYY Better if you eat there . Very thin so gets cold QUICKLY. If Taking home “ If ordering to take home ,have them cook it half way then finish cooking at home in “
“This was my 1st time eating in. The service was wonderful. Melody was beyond pleasant, attentive & accommodating. I ordered chicken & waffles which was great. We ordered the homemade gelato - strawberry & vanilla - but it tasted like ice cream vs gelato (not creamy & smooth) but still was fine. I will say though, even for brunch, it's so loud. The acoustics aren't the best in this space. I prefer to not have to raise my voice or lean across the table to interact w/my party. Also, they only had milk or cream for their cappuccino. It would be great to have @ least 1 alternative milk option (I love oat but anything-soy, almond,...). I would definitely return though as overall it was a pleasant experience.“
“Had a bridal shower @ Gusto’s on 6/3. The food and service were amazing. We chose not to pay the extra money per person for bringing in our own dessert, so we ordered the cake through Gusto’s which was delicious! The cookies ordered by Guso’s were left by many of my guests on the table as they were stale. Being Italian, I was very embarrassed and brought it to the manager, Ellen, attention the next day and she was going to talk to the manager. She checked with the “bakery” and they said the cookies were fresh. My suggestion is bring your own cookies and pay the addional $2.00 pp, you’ll be happy you did. I have not heard back from her or the owner, as Ellen said I would hear back in a day or two. ☹️. 4.9 for FOOD, SERVICE and CAKE. 1 for COOKIES.“
“Parking is not one of the best around lunchtime, but the atmosphere inside was magnificent, very cheerful and friendly service and the smells of food aroma spread to the roomParking: If you are here on a busy lunch day, it might be hard to find parking close to the restaurantKid-friendliness: Great place for the weekend lunch family get together gives a warm home feeling“
“Party of 3. We shared 4 appetizers which were all exceptional. Calamari, octopus, crab cakes with Brussel sprouts and a salad. Followed by dessert. Presentation of food was terrific. The service was prompt and attentive. I'd definitely return.“
“Karaoke Blvd has an excellent vibe, great music and the staff is awesome no matter the day I have gone I have always had a fun time. The open mic karaoke is a blast and the bartenders are fantastic. Even if you are there attending a private party the rooms are spacious. Overall the lights, sounds and seating atmosphere is top shelf. I HIGHLY Recomend this spot if you want a Great time even if you don't want to sing. Karaoke Blvd is definitely a Gem!“
“Great place, great food, staff very nice. Only reason didn't give 5 stars all around was atmosphere-more of a sports bar atmosphere not really my thing and not from the area so felt kinda like a newbie. Service was a bit slow but it was pretty busy. Fries were cold when I got them but they made a whole new huge batch and they were absolutely delicious! Best drink and food prices anywhere I've found! We will definitely be back!“
“I drive a considerable distance just to come visit Bobbi the bartender. She’s the best around! Funny, fast, excellent. It’s also hard to find such a welcoming fun crowd and cheap drinks anywhere else. The new owners are regularly around and you won’t have to look hard because they’ll greet you with a smile. Great guys. Can’t say enough great things about this great place. Only thing that would make it better is if they had a karaoke night!!!!“
“My wife and I ordered take-out from Tacombi. We had been to one in Jersey city a long time ago and recalled it was quite delicious. So we were eager to try it when it came to Westport. To our delight the food was delicious. I had a Birria Taco Plato, I thought it was flavorful the beef did not disappoint maybe wish there was more. I like how they package it for take-out. My wife had the fish taco and shrimp taco. I tried shrimp taco, it had a very bold flavor that catchs the back sides of the tounge (highly recommend). We also ordered corn esquites, best way to eat corn. Their Totopos (tortilla chips) are addicting nice crunch goes well with guacamole. We also chicken quesidilla, which was also pleasant maybe could have used more cheese. I look forward to dining in as the weather gets better.“
“@Sandy B I am a Pacific Islander and a 5th Dan master belt in Tang Soo Do. What you witness was him talking to his girlfriend about her karate life. So you saying he is racist is uncalled for and insulting to a fellow Pacific Islander. I would suggest you learn the facts before you speak. My family and friends would continue to recommend Whiskey Barrel as it is a great establishment with great food and service. I want to thank the staff for all their hard work every single day.“
“First time here. I'm from out of town and stoped by. The owner Kris is friendly, welcoming and easy to talk with. Locals are friendly as well. I don't come around this area often but next time I am even remotely close, I will stop in again.“
“Great place to eat excellent food... The Chef is fantastic.Kid-friendliness: We always take our 2 grandkids with us.My grandson calls this place " the good pasta place"....their Kids Menu is very good..and it includes ice cream with their menu selection.“
“Consistently good, fresh food! The staff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant tends to get very noisy so we usually order a pickup. However, apart from the noise the atmosphere is great. Cute tables along with height tops and the bar. Their fresh guacamole is not to be missed!! Tacos are my favorite food there :) Love the place!“
“The margs here were so insanely strong and good , highly recommend. In terms of the food, I ordered the chicken fajitas and really enjoyed them along with the nachos we got to start. Our service was a bit slow when we went but assuming it is because it was a Friday night and pretty crowded.“
“Filets tips were amazing. The eggplant stack was good. It was a little loud but nice atmosphere. Service was ok little slow with drinks, they were just ok not amazing. I think he was new but very polite. Food came out fast.Above all I would totally go back!“
“This place reminds me of the inside of a turtles shell. It was filled with nasty odors and felt very oily. I asked the owner why it smelled like the inside of a greasy soup kitchen and he just simply responded with, and I quote,"Scruples!". Definitely recommend if you are into dudes.“
“The food is delicious. You will wait a bit but the staff checks on you to make sure you're okay or if you need refills on drinks. They're also very accommodating if you ask for something that isn't on thr menu. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.“
“This place is always delicious. Fresh, well cooked, and just the right amount. I've always had lovely wait staff and I like the setting- on a chilly night the fireplaces are a nice touch! Their weekend brunch is a great time too. So good!“
