“stopped in for lunch with my mom today. she had the chef's salad and I had the side garden salad and a bowl of minestrone. everything was delicious... especially my soup. focaccia and dipping oil was served at the table. so delicious!! fantastic server with a great laugh and sense of humor. I think it was Nino who came around to tables and asked how meals were. when we left, everyone said bye, have a great day. Will definitely come back with a bigger appetite. thanks!!“

“Tuscany weekend brunch is AYCE. I love their Tuscan and Caesars' salads. The hot buffet items include sausages, bacon, waffles/pancakes, eggs Benedict, a fish/chicken item and perogies! Other than the great tasting prime rib they have another offering at the craving station. Then there's the omelette and pasta stations. I was too full to enjoy all the many dessert items. I look forward to return at my next visit! We also got to sit with our favorite server Mary -- it was a great brunch indeed!“

“Service is fantastic! New menu changes regularly which makes a regular customer hard to find consistency. The broken lasagna was excellent! Steak options much improved. Wish they offered a little bread on the side given that that is a typical expectation of any good Italian restaurant. Management needs to consider a bread option in the future to real bring to a true Italian experience. Suggest the kitchen travel abroad to learn how good Italian cuisine is offered and appreciated!“

“Longshots was once one of my favorite places to go on any given night of the week to grab a beer or drink or appetizers. Berto, Heather, and Brianna have all treated me like family for YEARS there. HOWEVER...I had an issue with my debit card that had FAR MORE than an adequate balance available to pay my bill. I attempted alternative means of payment which also unexpectedly and unfortunately failed (something that has never previously occurred at any point when I have gone to Longshots). I was extremely frustrated at being unable to pay and was working through the credit card situation and headed to the in-house ATM instead to try to withdraw the cash to pay the bill. At this point, the woman behind the bar, who is apparently the owner yelled, "Excuse me, sir, where are you going?????" as if I were intending to leave without paying. After unsuccessfully attempting to withdraw from the ATM, I confronted the woman about her implying that I was trying to leave restaurant without paying. I let her know that I was a long-time patron of Longshots (since 2013) and that she could call Berto or any of the other waitstaff and they would vouch for my integrity as a customer. Despite ultimately having settled my bill and tip with my server, the owner instead called and had me pursued down Route 32 by a Montville Police officer on the grounds that I had used "inappropriate language with her at the bar," which I explained to the very reasonable officer who stopped me that I had in fact taken exception to her implying that I intended to leave without paying. He immediately released me without further incident, but I will never set foot in Longshots again after this incidence of harassment despite my close, long-standing ties to the fine waitstaff there...“
