Disappointing I stopped by on a Saturday night and the place was closed. I was informed that the owner opens the place "when he wants to". What a way to run a business. Been wanting to visit for awhile so took a trip to Waterbury and it was closed for the night.

Highly recommend the nachos which are home made chips order as an appetizer or a meal. Wash it down with a Waterbury Martini. Now let me trek you about these wings. Wow these wings........the heat, the crisp, the size, melt in your mouth, perfect amount of heat and spices. They accommodated our little one with something they wasn't on the menu. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff. We will most definitely be back

This place is beyond amazing. I travel worldwide for a living and this place really wowed me. The appetizers, drink selections, wait staff and the owner George were all amazing and very hospitable. When in Waterbury this needs to be your first and only stop.

Fantastic place! Food was fantastic and so was the service. Owner George was super nice. Beautiful building. Still kept the gorgeous old features but modernized it so it is a great atmosphere as well. Definitely will be coming back!

Haha, Not german at all. Dont waste your time here looking for any comfort wirtshaus food or german meals or GERMAN BEER for that matter. If you like IPA's, there you go, nice american bar for you.

Great burgers to start!! Love the atmosphere and the staff. I've never had a bad time here. The owner makes you feel welcome and everyone knows your name. A true gem in Wtby that's being kept alive. God bless!
You shouldn’t advertise as a German restaurant but have not one German entrée or appetizer or even draft beer on tap. I came for the sole purpose of having German food I understand the restaurant was reopened then you need to change it. on your catering menu you still offered German food I don’t understand why you wouldn’t offer it on your regular menu you’re more of a pub food was good but unfortunately I would not go back to Waterberry for that

I visited Drescher's during a recent work trip to Waterbury. The interior is wonderful, though I only got to enjoy the garden room. Nice beer selection and food was quite tasty. I enjoyed a very fresh Caesar salad and French Onion soup made with real gruyere (instead of mozzarella like so many others). Service was quick and attentive. Though there doesn't appear to be much of a downtown scene in Waterbury, Drescher's is a very location for a good meal or enjoyable beverages.
