Im a truck driver, I drove from WV to here. Looking for a good portuguese restaurant to eat. Google maps was showing the restaurant was was very close by. So, I parked my rig and walked toward the restaurant, and boom! ...Place was shutdown! Looks like this place is closed for good!

Very hidden gem of Waterbury. I didn't know the place existed until I was told about it. On the outside it looks a bit sketchy but once you go inside, you're greeted with wholesome staff, welcoming ambience. The food was delicious and cultural. Very unique experience and definitely recommend coming!

Owners Tony and Rosa Carvalho have perfected their craft with amazing cuisine from their home country. This little slice of heaven is in the middle of nowhere in Waterbury - which is why I like it. Don't come here expecting to eat quickly because as they say on the menu, the most important ingredient in food is time.

This place is hands down my all time favorite restaurant. Owners Tony and Rosa Carvalho have perfected their craft with amazing cuisine from their home country. Spent a day in Waterbury as part of a leg in our road trip, so I wanted to make the dining experience worthwhile. Yelpers did not let us down this time! A true gem. We do have a toddler in tow and are always worried about how welcoming hosts and guests are, but everything was great. I got the paella valenciana and my father had lobster something. They were both delicious! And the portions were large.

Shrimp Angola. I could swim in that sauce. Omg. So good.

Most people would not stop or go in to this restaurant because it's in a rough industrial part of town. My client knew the area and suggested this place because of the food. This is a perfect secret. If you haven;t eaten here, you are missing out on a great experience. Overlook the old building and neighborhood, and go for the incredible food and service. out of the way location, terrific food, good service, casual ambiance - traditional home style portuguese cooking. steaks and seafood are terrific, the house vinho verde wine is tasty. fresh bread basket, flavorful dishes, daily soup specials. desserts also traditional and good.

Genuine, real-deal Portuguese cuisine, superb service - by the owners themselves, and all located in an unassuming, as my friend put it - kinda sketchy odd spot. Comfortable inside, a select wine list with incredibly affordable wines, mostly Portuguese. The food - is just out of this world, if you like real down-to-earth Portuguese delights, - like Green Kale Soup, Pork & Clams, Steak on a Rock, etc.
