We had dinner here last night with friends. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and the tables are spaced far apart. The staff were very careful, wearing masks and gloves. The service, food and drinks were excellent. The portions were generous and we all cleaned our plates. It's one of those places where we say, "we should come here more often," and it is ideally set up for safe dining during the pandemic.

We both had Veal Martini. Absolutely the best. Our waitress was knowledgeable , friendly, helpful. This was our second memorable meal at Positano. Can't say enough good things. Our new favorite. We will be back .

I've been coming here for years. Positano used to be located near Compo Beach but moved behind the Westport Country Playhouse several years ago. The owners and staff have the warmth and the restaurant has the ambiance that is always welcoming. They truly want their guests to feel like family. The food is delicious and the Sunday Brunch has a wide variety of salads, main courses, breakfast foods and desserts to choose from. My favorites include the Spaghetti Puttanesca with Gaeta Olives, Capers, Garlic and my favorite marinara sauce. The "Paul Newman Chopped Salad" has apple, goat cheese, red pepper, cucumber, carrots, celery and red wine vinaigrette. Their chocolate cake is dense and rich - perfection! Chef Fernando is award winning and his sister, Aida, provides amazing service. You can go dressed up for the Playhouse next door or show up in shorts and hang out with your dog on the outdoor patio.

Dinner for two on a Saturday nite @ seven. We both ordered veal chop. No apps. Took 45 minutes to get our food. It was terrible. How can you screw up grilled veal chop. Ordered med. Was well done(both of our orders) Maybe they were defrosted in microwave or sat under heat lamps for a half hour.we both took two bites and that was it.They were finally taken away.No one inquired why two $32.50 chops were not eaten or if they should wrap them up for take home. When bill came I was charged for a large glass of wine rather than a regular glass.Never heard of that.I thought we were in a tourist trap in NYC after a "LION KING" Sat. Matinee.The food was so bad we laughed all the way the to a ice cream shop for dinner/dessert.The ice cream was great.

It was for Valentines Day. No where on their website did it say you could NOT order from regular menu. My boyfriend has a specific diet. Anyway we did the V Day price fix menu, had no choice! Service was slow, food was cold and portions small. We arrived at 5:30 and left at 8:30. I had to get up several times to find our waiter just to refill a drink. I wouldn't have even left a tip but it is not the waiters fault but owner of restaurant for insufficient staffing. I was not the only patron complaining about the service. We were all talking amongst each other.
