“Nice little deli/cafe, pretty decent food, good selection, and friendly staff. Even when it's busy they do a great job of getting your order as quick as possible. Great tasting home made soups and plenty of pastries, cookies, and donuts for those who have a sweet tooth to satisfy. Another thing I like is they always have fresh coffee available here too. Thumbs up to Day Hill Deli.“
“Traveling for business and I just needed a quick bite. Whole Deli was the perfect stop. Great customer service, reasonable prices, and a yummy sandwich. I like a basic sandwich- so just got ham and Swiss on a grinder. The bread was fresh and freaking delicious! So was the ham and Swiss. Perfect amount and so good! Would definitely recommend.“
“I went for lunch rush on a Thursday and was nervous when I saw the line of 10-15 people. But they serviced everyone pretty quickly and it only took 10 minutes to get my food. I order a meatball grinder and it was amazing. The meatballs are fresh and the sauce was good. This will be a mainstay for my lunches when in Hartford.“
“Lovely little polish delicatessen and grocery store. Got a Poniatowskis Rebellion and some potato pancakes for later!2024: This place changed, and I don't think so much for the better. I appreciate the friendly service and the different variety but I miss the Polish market shopping experience because now it's limited items. There are not many items in the freezer selections. The polish sandwiches have changed, and some of the staples are gone. Took a chance and tried some barbecue and was not too impressed. The barbecue sandwiches could definitely use more barbecue sauce, and I'm not really sure how they're making the mac and cheese. This is only an opinion, and like I said, I did appreciate the friendly service. I'll go back and try something different for sure, but I do miss seeing the polish lady friends who would make excellent sandwiches with a smile and throw in that bag of chips!“
“This place is delicious. My personal favorite is the cocoa bread and beef patty it is delicious it's not only a little Deli is also a place you can buy a little snacks and not too much but a little house items you can get ice cream and grown up stuff.“
“I cannot say enough about pickle jar Deli!!! The atmosphere, the food the owner the workers it was unbelievably delicious. The young woman behind the counter I gave amazing recommendations and was extremely patient as we navigated the menu! We cannot wait to go back!!! Friendly staff. Wonderful food! Great atmosphere and awesome options l!“
“What a great spot near the airport. Super local, super fast, super delicious. The chili was meaty and delicious. Not too much tomato and came in a huge ceramic bowl. I appreciate that they specific it was beef as I don't eat pork. I had the Ruben which was delicious. The bread was crispy; plenty of meat and a really good Russian dressing. The egg salad was simple and toddler approved. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a quick bite or a reliable lunch spot.“
“Amazing homemade Polish food. I think the best croquettes (krokiety) i have ever had (had the meat ones). Plus very tasty bigos. I did not have a chance to try other stuff they have, so couldn't make my opinion on their pierogies. It is also a store, with a great variety of polish food.Highly recommended for snacks: a lot of delicious and cheap Polish snacks: try chałwa and ptysie! They also have Polish chocolate if you like European chocolate.“
“The best sandwiches and best customer service in Hartford...Curt and his fellow staff members are artists in creating the best grinders whether hot or cold.I recommend this deli to anyone I see. It makes Subway look like a bunch of amateurs. Try this deli once and you'll never go anywhere else.“
“Clean, well lit, fresh food, extremely polite service. It's what it says it is, NY Style Deli, wouldn't expect to go in and order the most complicated thing on the menu, but for your grab & go warm sandwich needs: fantastic. The few negative reviews I see on here seem to reflect people who are out of their element more than validly critical.Definitely our favorite breakfast spot in our neighborhood. Also worth noting that based on how terrible food options are downtown after the office workers go home, being open on Saturday is practically a public service in Hartford. Thanks!“
“We were early for our reservation and they kindly welcomed us to a table. Our waiter was friendly and when I told him we had never been there and asked him to tell us about the menu he very happily obliged. He was also eager to share his favorites on the menu when asked. The food was fresh, hot and had a very nice presentation. We would definitely recommend and/or return there when in Hartford CT again.“
“Here's a nice, cozy breakfast/lunch Cafe style restaurant that you might just drive by. My GPS found it for us as we drove through Windsor Locks headed for home in Maine. Prices are reasonable, portions are a bit too large but tasty. Coffee was good and service just right and a friendly face. A good alternative to mass produced food just up the road.“
