Watch out for the 18% gratuity added to the bill you may not be aware of.Get on the elevator and press the PH for penthouse, or ask an attendant to let you on using their key card.

I've been coming here for years every January when I'm in town for a meeting. Menu in the upstairs cage is solid. Reminiscent of home cooking, it's what I need after a looong day on my feet. The downstairs whiskey bar and music venue is excellent, though I reserve that for my final evening before departure!

This bar has a decent whiskey selection and a nice atmosphere. However, the pricing here (even for dc) is simply outrageous and I have never been to a bar in DC that nickels and dimes its customers so aggressively. It costs SIX dollars to turn a whiskey into a classic cocktail. Also after having high prices they then CHARGE for whiskey ice cubes, which should be the standard in a nice whiskey; also not only do they charge for ice but the ice they charge for is not even a nice clear ice cube, it comes out half white. This is simply ridiculous. Came here on a thursday, had two classic drinks and left with a bill over $50. It’s unfortunate as this is a nice bar for the area, but based on the pricing we will not be coming back.

Came here last night and had a great time. Street parking is scarce so you're most likely to rely on the multitude of parking garages nearby. Great for groups or casual meet ups and dates. No long lines for entry and security is very circumspect. The bar on the lower level is magnificent. A vast collection that would be the envy of any whiskey enthusiast. Expect to wait quite a bit for your drink though even if seated at the bar. Helpfully the pours are proper. Didn't eat anything but a friend told me the wings and fries were good. The crowd around me definitely didn't appear restrained in sinking their collective teeth into the culinary offerings. Crimson DC is a spectacular addition to the area nightscape

I'm staying at the Motto and this restaurant is in the lobby. It has a nice variety of food options as well as a bar. They also provide breakfast all day (certain options are offered all day; breakfast is usually served until 3 PM) the service is nice and welcoming. The service is great! Food always came out quickly and correct! Everything has been delicious so far!

Beware, this restaurant charges an automatic 18% gratuity charge on takeout orders. I have zero problems with places asking for gratuity for pick ups but to do that automatically does not make any sense to me.
