The cocktails were great and food good, but our server forgot about us at times.

We came here for dinner and had a pretty good time. The host was not that friendly, but the wait staff was awesome. The half-shelled oysters were good, ceasar salad was good, and all of the deep-fried food was great. We got popcorn shrimp and calamari (size small), fried oysters (size small), and French fries; they were fresh, crispy, and not oily.

Food was excellent, service not so much. We had to flag down different staff to have someone take order and again to request silverware and napkins after our food was finally delivered.

Hanks is a classic but, boy, they too have joined the group of restaurants including a service charge (5%). It is listed on the menu, but if you miss it, you wont see it when you go to pay on the portable ToastTab machine. You are handed the machine at the tip page and will not see the 5% fee. So, tip wisely!

really good food and cute environment! it can be a little loud especially near the bar, but otherwise enjoyed a lot. The food definitely made the noise worth

Atmosphere was awesome! Was immediately served with goldfish and water. I ordered lobster deviled eggs and fried oysters. The fried oysters came very quickly and were some of the best I’ve ever had! Then they cleared my plates and my server came to cash me out. I asked about the deviled eggs. He seemed confused and said “you didn’t get those already?” I confirmed I did not. He quickly fixed the issue and apologized. Unfortunately I was not a fan, as I felt there was flavor missing from these. I would definitely go back, but wouldn’t order the eggs again.

Had a great meal, but did not appreciate the 5% service charge; either raise your prices, or have a ~20% charge that covers gratuity, instead they’re expecting customers to leave a full tip, they’re trying to have their cake and eat it too.

The service was great. However, walking out the door after my meal I felt what I paid for what I got left me with less than great memories. The lobster bisque was way too watery with about 4 tiny pieces of lobster meat in it I could have consumed with a straw. If I ever go back I won't order that again. The biggest letdown was the lobster roll, thin and flavorless. What I loved and would order again was the Hog Island-style bbq oysters. The oyster dish tasted great and the price I paid for it was reasonable. I will eat here again and would order the Hog Island-style bbq Oysters but as for the lobster bisque and the lobster roll major let down.

Absolutely loved this place. We were in town for a conference and looking for oysters and a quiet dinner. We were darn fortunate on a cold winter eve. 2 dozen assorted oysters to start. Just perfect. A pasta and clam special in a garlic-butter-wine sauce. Awesome and perfect for dipping their hot toasted French loaf bread. Wine and tequila for drinks. Stuffed and happy. Great service, nice chat with manager, couldn't be more pleased!!! If it had been warm, there was an abundance of outdoor seating. We/me will be back.

The 1 star takes a little explaining so strap in. A couple of months back I was with a large group visiting DC area and one of the group members setup the private dining area for us to use. All in all food was good and cocktails and desserts were tasty, excluding fried oysters. Tasted off and I’ve never had fried balls of snot before. Anyways, the reason my review is so low is because they seemingly changed the agreed to amount the entire party had to spend while there. Had the party known that the restaurant would change the terms of the minimum amount needed to spend (a $500 increase), then other arrangements would have been made. Our server was very good and we all tried our best to make it work, but it was a massive shock to everyone.
