I ordered gluten-free cookies and after eating them I had a terrible allergic reaction. They put their consumers at risk by offering gluten-free products and end up being in terrible conditions for the public they target.

TL;DR - would give negative stars if I could. Ordered cookies that never got delivered and staff never tried to fix the situation.—I ordered some cookies through the site to be delivered to a friend who was going through a personal crisis. The cookies were never delivered - the photo the delivery person sent was of the cookies on a bench. (I attached the image here bc seriously?!)My friend called the delivery person and they hung up on her. I called and after going through the runaround with a staff person for a while, they finally said they would resend out the order… but they never did, and they also never gave me a refund. Would not recommend - was an absolute nightmare to deal with and was just trying to do something nice for a friend.

this store hires literally anyone. every time i come in here they never have the cookies they’re showing because employees slack off constantly. they’re always hostile and aggressive. tonight (3/12) when i walked in, a guy in a red shirt was super hostile and chain smoking outside the building the whole time. he said “i’m leaving to smoke” after i just walked in, and came in aggressively saying people take forever to order and think it’s mcdonald’s but why does that matter. he should be doing his job and serving the people who come in no matter what. he claims people were taking forever to order but he was outside smoking the whole time so i was never able to place an order. this place is supposed to be a simple cookie shop for me as a college student coming to 18th ST to enjoy the nightlife. like bruh it’s literally called insomniac cookies and i can’t even get a cookie at 10pm despite y’all not closing for hrs after that. again THIS STORE HIRES ANYONE AND WILL NEVER HAVE THE COOKIES READY. HORRIBLE SERVICE! VERY HOSTILE!

The s’mores cookie is a must try. The caramel ice cream is actually quite balanced and goes really well with the cookie. The dream weaver ice cream (purple) fell flat.

Love the Adams Morgan area and had seen this shop when I used to do deliveries a few years ago in the area. Wife and I were walking through on Saturday and decided to pick up some cookies here. Girl at the counter looked like she had no desire to be working and had responses we really short. Wanted to order the 12 cookies for 30 bucks, so asked for some of the deluxe cookies, but was informed that the deluxe ones weren't included in that - the menu didn't state that at all. Ended up paying 30 dollars for 8 cookies instead just to get the deluxe ones since those were more appealing. Overall, wasn't really worth the cost. Would rather make our own or go to crumbl.

Oh man, my buddy told me INSOMNIA cookies are better than CRUM$LED C@@KIES… he was right. By far the best cookies. Well worth it. **OPEN ‘til 0200hrs** I strongly recommend. What do you have to lose? ?

Normally I would give eating establishments in this area 5 stars⭐️. So disappointed during my very first visit to this location today. To deal with a female employee (dreads/locs) with much nasty attitude at the 18th Street/Kalorama location. My relative kept her cool and said let's take our money elsewhere. 8th Street NW with better service and no employee attitude was happy to accept our dollars. Evidently good customer service is not important here. Really sad to see other reviews with the same situation for this very location. Do better!
