I understand the buzz surrounding this place, but it's severely overpriced for what it offers. It's hard to justify paying $24 for a burger that doesn't taste particularly special. While it's a decent burger, you can find similar or better ones at Lucky Buns for $15.The burrata starter is enjoyable, but again, nothing extraordinary. As for the duck gnocchi, they were satisfactory, though the portion size was disappointingly small. Our bill came to $163 for 2 glasses of wine, 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 coffees, and tap water.I'd rate the service 2 stars due to a remark made by the waiter. While my partner and I were debating whether to order wine by glass or bottle, the waiter interjected, suggesting that financially, the bottle was the better choice, leaving us with the impression that she thought our discussion was on money. While I appreciate the insight, I'm pretty good at math and can afford a bottle if I so desire. Our discussion was solely based on the quantity of alcohol we wanted to consume on that specific occasion.

Lutece is an incredible culinary and social experience. The waitstaff are extremely attentive and the cocktails are marvelous. Cannot wait to return!
Had a 7:00 pm reservation on a Friday night that we made over a month ago and we weren’t sat until 7:30 pm. We were patient, but we were not offered anything as an apology for the wait, which is fine. However, we were seated after people with later reservations, which was upsetting. When we were ultimately sat, the waiter offered us water and then disappeared for a long time until he came back to take our order. We had our drink and all of our dinner orders prepared for ordering before the waiter came back for the second time a while later. The food was not staggered well and it was hard to manage at a small, cramped table. The food was delicious, which was the only saving grace of this dinner. We ordered dessert drinks and our bill came out to over $280. The waiter took a long time to take our credit cards and was in the lobby speaking with the hostess. Nonetheless, we paid and used the restrooms and as soon as I came back from the restroom, we were told rudely by the manager that “our time has come to an end.” When I asked were the people outside waiting for 30 minutes, she abruptly said yes. Meanwhile, the people with the later reservations that we saw were sat before us earlier in the evening weren’t told to leave. It was humiliating and I am a very patient person, but this was extremely frustrating after waiting a significant amount of time for our reservation with no delay of our own.As a resident of DC for the past 10+ years, there are so many better restaurants in the District that will treat you with respect and appreciate your patronage.

I can't say enough great things about Lutece. My wife and I shared one of the best dining experiences we've ever had in DC there recently. The food was sublime (duck confit tagliatelle was my personal favorite). The wine service was impeccable. The staff was super chill yet very attentive. And the atmosphere was perfect for the moment. We sat at one of the high top kitchen tables, which I highly recommend. We'll be back for sure.
Lutece is an incredible restaurant. The food is amazing, delicious to the eye and pallet. You will find no better service anywhere, from the gracious manager Elizabeth to the servers and their assistants. We sat at one of the tables near the kitchen and watched the synchronicity and precision of the kitchen up close. The Chefs menu featured a wonderful array of taste sensations.

Amazing french fine-dining restaurant with changing menu. Everything you want from a rustic French place, highly recommend for a special occasion!
So crazy good - have had both dinner and brunch - and the people here are all so sharp and sweet.

Had a lovely dinner here! Cozy ambience, excellent service and superb food. Had the charred Napa cabbage appetizer. So complex and interesting. For entree had the Parisian gnocchi with preserved lemon, oyster mushrooms and white miso. Excellent! We shared the broccoli side and focaccia. W were able to bring our own wine and pay for corkage. A nice plus.
