Stopped by here mid morning. Ordered an egg cheese sausage croissant and a small coffee. It was delicious and the staff was very friendly and it would've cost me double at the Star****s It's inside the MLKing library so it was nice and quiet as a bonus.
This is a welcome stop at this revamped public library that also hosts events and exhibits. The team at the cafe were super friendly and helpful, service was fast and there were many open spots on the shady patio to enjoy my meal secluded from street level and surrounded by plants. Happy to support the mission of DC Central Kitchen!

$1 coffee is the best thing I’ve ever seen! Yes, you can get an 8oz cup of coffee for only $1. That means you can get 40 ounces of coffee here for the same price as a 12oz cup from Starbucks! That alone deserves 5 stars. The food is also very well priced, and you can get breakfast for only $3 (or less). The spaces is also good for chilling or studying by yourself or in a group. If I lived close by, I would probably come here every day ??♀️
