“When indecisive, go for the chefs table which includes all of the apps but also an extra tasting per course. Aside from the food which was near perfect, the ambiance is very unique outside dining in a semi enclosed courtyard, railyard bar, and dining in a lodge-like room with fireplace. Some of my favorite dishes were the veggies, surprising because I'm more of a meat eater. Cocktails were excellent but do ask the bartender since not all liquor is documented. Wine list is extensive”
“We love Oyster Mania Mondays at Pearl Dive! We make it a regular date night outing to indulge in dozens of half-priced, delicious, fresh, and cold oysters sourced from various locations. Additionally, I always order the incredibly tasty mussels served with toasted baguette slices to soak up all that delicious sauce. The staff consistently delivers friendly and attentive service too, which makes each visit enjoyable.”

“An interesting culinary experience. You MUST visit and I suggest the gigantic shrimp, as well as the short rib tacos. The service was to die for and all at an affordable price point. Well done, dLeña!!!”
“Food was great, and service was good. We sat in the dining room this time. Next time will seat in the bar lounge area. Menu prices are reasonable and you bring in bottles not on list for $35 corkage fee.”

“Great ambiance and service in this Michelin star restaurant with food to match. We got the tasting menu to try a bunch of dishes and overall thought the food was still similar to Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food I’ve had before but with a unique twist on the vegetable dishes. My favorites were the cauliflower hash (reminded me a lot of Gujarati shaak that I ate growing up) and the halloumi + muhmmara dips. Unfortunately, I thought all the cocktails were very mid, so I wouldn’t recommend drinks there unless it’s something you already know.”

“One of the better dining experiences I’ve had in DC - of any type of cuisine. Solid cocktails, very good service, delicious and incredibly inspired menu. Excited to go back.”
“Visited Compass Rose in DC and indulged in their Tour of the World brunch menu. It was an exquisite culinary journey featuring flavors from around the globe. Every dish was simply delicious! The staff were exceptionally welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a delightful dining adventure!"”
“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!”

“1st time going there this past Friday and the atmosphere was very nice and chill. The food was good, but due to some food restrictions, I couldn't eat a lot. The broccolini and okra were deliciou. Service and Servers were great. I shall be back.”

“Really delicious and awesome vibe! This is a creative Asian place where I would say noodles are their forte. The area is really small and cozy, with great decor. They only seat about 20 people at a time in their space, so I would reserve or come early. We came as they opened and were seated as a party of 5.For food, LOVE the brontosaurus! The broth is excellent and rich but too too rich, nicely smoked ribs, excellent selection of side veggies and the noodles had a great texture. The noodles in the mazemans were the same noodles as the brontosaurus, but the mazeman has no broth and so I prefer the brontosaurus. The ribs in the brontosaurus could’ve been more tender but I still loved it overall! Pork buns were good as well. Beautiful presentation and great taste on all! And nice edgy underground atmosphere/decor and reasonable prices.Vegetarian options: Mushroom ramen”

“Our server, Frank was incredibly welcoming and kind. We had some lovely conversation with him throughout the meal and enjoyed the service, courses, and the overall atmosphere. Each course was paired well with Audrey's Wine pairing and the dishes were stunning.”

“food was very inventive and good, but it was lacking on actual depth of any type of flavor. The service was quite good though we had to wait five minutes to actually be seated because the there was only one person seating people. The interior is very confusing and crowded and the restaurant decor doesn’t really make sense, the fried chicken was very good and unique so was the scallion pancake however, the pho really didn’t have any flavor and they were using chicken stock for some reason so it didn’t really have much flavor.”
“In a spot where the sushi's divine,Far from Japan, but tastes like its own shrine. The staff, with smiles, swiftly glide,Explaining each dish with knowledgeable pride.A saki selection that brilliantly does shine.Beyond seas, this place holds its fame,With flavors no connoisseur could blame. Here, fish tales are more than mere notions,Served with a flair that stirs deep emotions.A top-tier feast, in every aspect, it came.”
“The food was fantastic! The service was fantasticOverall a fantastic experience. We had a awesome time dining with Rose's the staff was very nice and very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. We also received various items that we off the menu that were excellent. And they gave us a treat to take home. I would definitely recommend Roses, P&P, and Little Pearl. Trust me, they won't let you down.”
“Possibly the best food I’ve ever had in the DMV meets incredible service. They didn’t have the dessert we wanted, so they comped us the one we chose instead. Also, as someone who is sensitive to gluten, dairy, corn, and peanuts, eating out is often extremely tricky and limited, but I was able to choose from maybe 70% of their menu, which is super impressive. Great spot if you have dietary restrictions and want a lot of options.Just a note, you definitely want a reservation. This place is busy for a reason!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-, dairy-, and nut-containing options are clearly labeled. Ask about other restrictions if you have them.”
“We loved this restaurant. The food was fantastic as well as the waitress from El Salvador, who was super kind. Price and overall experience was excellent! We will defórmele be back!”

“It can get very busy and crowded so be sure to make reservations! With that being said, although it was very crowded the service was 10/10. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. This was a unique dining experience and the small plates are brilliant idea. I recommend ordering a bit of everything during the first round and try something outside of your comfort zone. Everything I tried was delicious but the standouts to me were the spreads, grilled hanger steak, bacon and grits, salmon Benedict, the mini burger, and the sudzuk flatbread.”

“Friendly and knowledgeable staff, in a unique atmosphere. Residents has a chill vibe and a Menu that changes with the seasons. Love the small bites. Highly recommend the baby artichokes on the Summer menu! Visited in Summer and Fall of 2022… Residents never disappoints! Highly recommend.”

“It was fabulous! I loved how much thought went into the meal and the whole place showed the care and love behind the creations. The food and service were spectacular!”
“A friend and I were just walking around DC and stumbled upon this restaurant. The decor was the first thing that got us. Once we got inside the warm welcome and smiles caused us to stay. We were given complimentary butternut squash soup, it was delicious! I ordered the Seven Reasons ceviche and I loved it! The purple sweet potato and crunchy pops of quinoa really stood out. Also, I got the Tropical Aperol Spritz cocktail, it was refreshing. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly staff was an added bonus. This was my first and I'll definitely visit again during my next trip to Washington DC.”
“Orders are placed via phone or you can order at the counter but the tip defaults to 22%. I’m a generous tipper but am annoyed at this, esp when our server didn’t return with sugar after being asked for it or to check up on us. Otherwise, it’s a very cozy place.”

“One Michelin star and 2023 James Beard best chef in America. I got the Vernal (early spring) tasting menu, which is prepared vegetarian or vegan. Everything tasted delicious, but for me the pumpkin seed gnocchi with the mushroom ragout really stands out on the menu. The folks at this restaurant really care about sustainability (like having plates made out of pressed used wine bottles). I also recommend the wine pairing. Service is top notch. This is a restaurant you should not miss when visiting Washington DC.”
“Believe the hype, this place is outstanding. Service was impeccable and the omakasi was delicious. Yes, this place is expensive and yes it's worth it. They have a fantastic wine list and very knowledgeable staff. Get your reservation in now as it is very popular and it is fairly small.”
“I thought that for the price, the food and service were very good. I appreciated that they were able to accommodate a walk-in for weekend brunch. The hostess was very polite and the servers were very attentive. The restaurant was very clean, including the bathrooms which were very nice compared to a lot of restaurants in DC. For a restaurant I had not heard of prior to visiting, I was pleasantly surprised!”
“We had a lovely time here. I ordered the white shrimp entree and the white beans dish that was pale green with asparagus and the enchilada; all were delicious. Chips and salsa was great as a free starter. We sat at this mini bar section and the 2 wait staff there gave us exceptional service. I casually mentioned something about the shrimp dish being a tad salty and they just decided to send me a less salty replacement dish and recommended a vegetable dish to complement it.Five-star Service: Very nice and attentive staff but also leave you be to enjoy your meal so was a pretty relaxed atmosphere.Parking: Better off taking the metroKid-friendliness: Ok if bringing older kids”
“We went there to celebrate my wife’s birthday after watching the Netflix show. We were seated promptly our server was pleasant but left us feeling disappointed in this experience. Then Lizete (sorry if misspelled) came to our table and and treated us like celebrities the amazing way we she turned a blah experience into something truly amazing she went as far as to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a delicious mango drink she is a great manager and person”
“What an incredible collection of brown- 65+ pages of incredible whiskeys, bourbons and more. Multiple bottles of pappy if you're into that. I had a blast selecting (at random, but nothing disappointed!) and my friend got the flight to help guide him, which he loved.Food was fine, acceptable, but for the cool environment I would have figured higher grade in the cuisine. Admittedly the snacks/small plates were far higher quality than the main dishes so maybe the intention was to drink and small plate.Service was good, they made sure we had what we needed but I would have loved a bit more enthusiasm for such an amazing collection.Overall great experience and would go again!”
“Wow. Just wow. This is a must experience. Everything was an explosion of flavor. Every bite, every sip. Thank you Chef Rene and Fernando for such an amazing experience. We most certainly be back!”
“First I would like to say that I wish there were more than 5 stars. My son and I are visiting the DC area for the Cherry Blossom festivities. My son has a love for Indian food ever since his trip to India. I have never tried Indian food ever. So this was my very first experience. From the moment we walked in the door our amazing experience began. The atmosphere is beautiful and so is the staff. Our server, April was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She has an amazing spirit and is wonderful with her job! The food... was very fresh, aromatic and DELICIOUS!! My son said the food was the closest to the food in India that he has had here in the states. For my first time... OMG!!! I am HOOKED! The only bad part is that I have to go back to Florida and wait impatiently for my next visit.”

“Visited this place based on reviews. The place was very small with 4 tables and 8 chairs to sit and eat mostly functioning as a take out place/cloud kitchen. The food was great but not amazing. Their tacos had good options and the nachos were really nice.”
“Go around to the back entrance of the hotel. Signs will point you. Take a left BEFORE you get to the next building. Looks like a small parking lot. Security will check bags. No strollers allowed or large bookbags. May be left downstairs with the security guards. Arrive early to avoid line. You can skip all the info on the walls and read them on your way out.”
“The Madison in DC was a Very Cool hotel at a great price! Everyone loves Abdul. He was on point. He gave us quick, fast service. He was very friendly! I would definitely come back again. Happy hour starts at 4:00. The wings are on point. The beer is good as well.”
“Rashad, the waiter showed great customer service. He served my food on time and made sure that I was satisfied with my order. I would highly recommend his service when attending Dennys.”
“I had a HB Pizza for halftime of the-Alabama Game and it was delicious. I think that HBPizza is my goto pizza from now on. The best thing is that they are everywhere and the Quality and quantity is the same no matter Which of the 8000 locations that you go to.”
“Enjoyed a chill Saturday breakfast at this spot on Benning Rd. Our server, Tanya, was vivacious and gracious. Every word and deed was followed by a smile as bright as the sun. She was hilarious too! We were seated quickly, our order was taken and served quickly. Not to mention this location has the best music ever!Parking: Easy parkingKid-friendliness: Got crayons and worksheets for the kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Good accessibility for tables and parking”
“We visited on 3/28/23, about 6 pm, and were pleasantly surprised at the great customer service! Two employees were there, and they were both efficient and friendly. Not much in the way of parking, so we parked across the street (at McDonald's) and that worked out just fine.”
“I'm only putting five stars because I'm not being a douche but I want to make a comment. On the website it says that the lobby is open 24 hours as well as the drive-thru but it is only the drive thru that is open 24 hours... This needs to be clarified moving forward. I don't care if it should be common knowledge, they need to clarify this on the website”
“At the time of day that I was at Mickey D's there was kids everywhere and they were extremely loud, needless to say that I got up and left. Overall the store was clean. The floors were decent. Plenty of tables available and they also were clean.”
“I can't complain. The coffee is always fresh, tons of cream and milk choices, the employees are kind and the shop is clean. Always atop by when I'm in the area.”
“I used to eat here a lot late at night, if I wouldn't get sleep or felt no sleep early in the morning while homeless. I was homeless at the time, thank God I have a lovely home in Uganda-my home country. No one at all gave me a hard time while eating here(odd orders), my meals were always in order and very accurate. I have almost zero complaits except that the hospital always failed to keep the bathrooms well stocked with essentials like toilet seat paper covers and paper towels. However I do not put the blame on the restaurant but rather goes to the hospital that I think maintains the bathrooms. Be aware that they do not serve sodas but have all the charged juices from what I remember which a great thing avoiding unhealthy soft sodas. I used eat here in the month of August this year of 2022 while I was in Washington DC area while relocating to Uganda after attaining wisdom from US. Thank you staff working at this location, for taking care of us-you are all amazing and I love u guys because u always gave me what I always wanted/needed which I rarely got from other restaurants or Panera locations. All in all, please eat here whenever u can always, they server pretty hot meals, fresh and very accurate.”
“It was Good! The Food was fresh and the fries were hot. I love McDonald's fries when they are hot. The fish was amazing g the Bun was so fresh and soft. I finally got the meal thar I always hoped for.”
“This is a nice McDonald’s. Located in a busy intersection near the sites. Is directly across the street from the national Museum of women in the arts. It’s also not very far from the mint. Food is good as you would expect. The ground level is small, but the upstairs is very big and has great views from the windows.Parking: This is a very busy street. Don’t plan on parking. Just walk.Kid-friendliness: Kids love this restaurant and then downstairs is perfect for themWheelchair accessibility: The downstairs where you water has a few tables that are handicap accessible. The upstairs where the majority of the seats are is not accessible.”
“I love the location. I live in Rockville. It's close to my daughter's home in DC. I stop there and get our order; it's still hot when I get to her house. Yes!!!!”

Takeout Restaurants
“I had Ethiopian cuisine on my bucket list for real long time, but since I couldn't find much time to visit any Ethiopian restaurant in New York city, I decided to go ahead with the one in Washington DC!Initially, I was a bit hesitant to order the meat dishes since my last adventure with African cuisine wasn't a great one. Glad that Ethiopians have a good amount of vegetables in their diet which helped me make a safe and easy choice to go with!I went ahead with their traditional veggie platter, which consisted of 2 vegetables, 2 lentil dishes and a salad served over Injera( basically the Ethiopian version of dosa: An Indian dish and a much softer one instead of crispy). The vegetables served were cluster beans along with cabbage and potato. The cluster beans felt right out of my home kitchen whereas the potato was undercooked in the cabbage one! The two lentil dishes served out of which one was the spicy one and the other not spicy. I loved both of them. Honestly, I never thought it would be so close to traditional Indian cuisine as a result I also let the server know the same. The server was pretty friendly and was happy to guide me through their menu while providing quick service. The restaurant though feels like a homely vibe with close seating and the ambiance being that of a family home.Overall, an amazing experience for me with interesting thing being it felt like having a home cooked meal rather than eating at a restaurant!”
“Everything at Menya is completely mind-blowing and it's the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. It's a little hard to visit here especially with their hours but every time I can make the trip over to DC I always make an effort to come here. Their food stays consistent and service is incredible. It's amazing to watch how in synch the entire team is and they have an open kitchen where you can watch the staff make the endless bowls of ramen! The karaage is a MUST-TRY it's so incredibly crispy on the outside but perfectly juicy on the inside. It's also paired with a yuzu dipping sauce and it brings the chicken to a whole other level, 10/10. My favorite ramen is the Spicy Tonkotsu because it includes a house made chili spice that really brings a nice kick to their traditional Tonkotsu broth. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu because each type of ramen is so incredible in its depth of flavor.”
“Sami's hot dogs is a must when visiting DC. Hot dog had onions, jalapenos, chili, ketchup and mustard. We got the spicy sausage which gave it an extra kick. Also it's located in a convenient location across from a little park with lots of sitting, and they do take card for payment. Sami was also super friendly. Will come here again when visiting DC”
“The entire experience was amazing - it was like front row seats at the theater but even better because of the interactivity. The chefs were talented and fun, the environment was comfortable and intimate, the food was inventive and delicious, the presentation was artistic, and the service was impeccable. Thank you for such a memorable evening!”
“Wonderful place, best falafel ever. I hope they read this because I would suggest they describe the bread it is on in more detail. They apologized for not having traditional pita bread for it. Instead the should say they have put a new spin on it using their own homemade ??? bread. I don't know what type it is, but it was absolutely delicious!”
“Next time you're over in Eastern Market check this place out!!! Lovely happy hours and brunches! For happy hours, I had tortilla de patatas, jamon serrano, gambas al ajillo... all were delicious and fresh! The gambas had some extra charred garlic that I enjoyed putting on bread with some of the delicious olive oil that was in the dish. The brunch was stunning and was a great addition to our day at Eastern Market! Some highlights were house made ravioli that were to die for, white sangria, croquetas... It's right around the corner from the main strip of Eastern Market on Penn Ave. so a bit hidden but worth a try!”
“Service is very attentive, if not completely knowledgeable of what exactly their menu offerings are trying to achieve (it's kind of a blend of local with New Orleans, we gathered). We are not huge fans of several of the menu offerings, so of course, our ratings reflect that. Oysters, duck, and several N.O. options were just not our thing. We were mostly there for the drinks & ambiance, which were top shelf. Bottom line, go for the traditional & reimagined Louisiana fare, excellent libations and good times.”
“The food was good, but definitely not worth $57 a person on a Thursday night….We ordered four dishes (fermented cabbage toast, arancini, thai fried chicken, and scallop crudo) and had a drink each. Portions were small, even the “entrees.” Will not go back anytime soon for dinner. Our waiter was very nice though.*Came back over a year later for dinner because of an InKind Coupon. The $50 off $50 made the meal more worth it. But still expensive for what youre getting.”
“Very cute and innovative Japanese-Italian fusion spot! I had the Vongole Ramen, which was very tasty, although also extremely rich so perhaps difficult to finish towards the end.The onigiri was also interesting, although many of them were a bit lacking in filling.”
“We were bowled over by this place. We got there at 4.45pm as a walk in and were sat straight at the bar. Get there early if you want a seat! The food was absolutely outstanding, but Andrew the lovely bar waiter was the highlight of the night for us. He was so warm. informative and professional. Very much recommended.”
“Amazing staff, fast and very tentative. Great to be able to relax, enjoy your company, have delicious drinks, and eat as if your Auntie made it. We will be back!!!”
“Absolutely memorable and enjoyable dining experience. Wonderful and attentive service. Beyond imaginable flavor profile. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Made the birthday celebration extra special with their own added touches. Truly incredible! Come here - you won’t regret it.”
“Nice cozy place with delicious fold. I had the chicken heart appetizer and the Northern Noodles as main course. My wife had the Crispy Chicken. The noodles were probably the most flavorful curry Ive had in a long time, I just wish there was a tiny bit more noodles and protein, but it was great either way. Service was friendly and fast. 5 ⭐️s”
“Buzzy place, quite busy for Sunday brunch. The cronut was fresh and delicious. The gravlax mezze plate was unusual which is why I ordered it. The food was good. But the music blasting spoiled the experience for me - and I was solo so wasn't trying to chat, which would have been impossible to hear anything!”
“St Vincent is consistently a slice of heaven here on earth and my favorite “good in the hood”. The service, ambiance, bites and vino are unmatched. And now that there is live music in the garden, it is in a league of its own. The pop up with the Eritrean chef a few weeks ago was a pleasant little twist and I look forward to more of these curated experiences. This is my go to happy place—-home away from home and I cannot recommend it enough!!! Great date place or just gathering spot with your friends.”

“Bottom line up front, Cranes is a MUST for DC’s Winter Restaurant Week! From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! The Faux-jito, Squash Hummus, Ramen, and Iberico Pork Fried Rice were fantastic! When there was a problem with our bill, it was quickly resolved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!!!”
“Incredible, fresh ingredients on the lightest, puffiest dough you’ve ever had. Charming atmosphere, super friendly and attentive waitstaff and the owners are on-site and working hard. This is a family-owned restaurant and they are a delight! Authentic Roman pinsa! Highly highly recommend!”
“Beautiful decor and Amazing food. The naan is fantastically light with just enough crisp to it. I tried the Jhol Momo and it was delicious. Momo serving size (10 pieces) is plenty to make sure you leave full!”
“cute bar inside the washington hilton. ordered a sidecar & seasoned fries - both were delicious. our bartender was very pleasant! food selection isn't the best but i would return for the fries & drinks!”
“One of the best Roast Pork Noodle Soup I've had in DC and DMV. This is a real hole-in-the-wall kinda space, cozy and nice. They prefer Cash, so please do carry if you are visiting.”
“I love the pizza here . It does have a New York vibe.. not really a dine in type of place unless you like eating standing up. But for the slice the price is amazing... 1 slice is about a small pizza. They also have wings and fries...Parking: You're also going to have to walk up to the place or find parking elsewhere. This place provides no parking lot . Why I rated the atmosphere 3 stars”
“Very nice and patient service. Excellent tasty food and very good price. I got a bowl of salad base with chicken and beef, plus kimchi and it's a great combo.”
“Found this shop near the end of our vacation and the kids asked to stay another night so they could eat there again. Excellent food. Mac & Cheese and sandwiches were amazing. Shakes were a big hit also.”
“The food was delicious and the waitress was super nice! We got platanos, a chicken quesadilla, and a ground beef burrito. The crema that came with everything was incredible and I don’t think I’ve ever had a better quesadilla than I had here today. WOW!”
“As a single mother I was having a troubled cold morning with a sick toddler. From the moment I walked in; although busy with inventory CeCe acknowledged me and had me wait on another associate from the back. With urgency Tay arrives and had the best attitude! Offered menu items and very patient. The most important thing is he made my sick daughter smile. He made her feel welcomed. And even gave mom her props as well. Destiny made the best drinks for me and baby girl and smiled the entire time with great conversation. She was the first to greet us walking in. This type of service is important. Especially here based in DC. Gives the neighborhood a different vibe. I’ll see you every Sunday! I pray it’s the same shift! GANG ??”
“One of my fav Panera because it has good location. The strawberry charged lemonade is amazing. The space is a little bit smaller than expected but I was just picking up and go so it was fine. The employees were all very nice and respectful.”
“We always eat here when we’re in town. The food was great, as always! However, the service was subpar to say the least. Not sure of the exact reason, but the service last night was significantly worse than our previous experiences, and definitely not what you’d expect when spending $150+ on dinner.”
“Walking by on a warm summer's night and decided to try this, rather than ice cream, which also is available near by. VERY glad I tried the smoothy instead. At the employee's suggestion, I tried one with strawberry, pineapple and other flavors. It was delicious. Not sure about the calories but I was walking a lot that night so hopefully I burned off at least some of them. Anyway, I strongly recommend this for a snack or dessert.”
“The best jumbo slice in DC actually cooked through; halal everything. The kabobs... to die for! The service is spectacular. Ambiance is unimportant because this place is all about efficiency and they move quickly. 10/10 recommend don't get uncooked pizza because it's 1am just come here and get a properly cooked jumbo slice”
“This is one of my favorite locations in DC. I like the customer service, food and the drive thru is a major plus.I also like that you have the option to go inside to place your orders and ample free street parking.Great Job Georgia Ave. Popeyes . Keep up the good work. ?”

“The restaurant with the most history in Washington, next to The White House, has fed many of the US presidents.Very good service, quality and size of the dishes. We did not lack water in the glass at any time. We ordered two main dishes to share and they brought them to us divided, 2 plates for each one, which was a great detail. They serve traditional American food. The oysters rockefeller are delicious, the 1/2 chicken was very juicy, and the trout parmigiana is one of their star dishes.A great restaurant for your trips to Washington DC.Book in advance, it's huge but always full.Kid-friendliness: They are welcome”

“Amazing service, food, presentation, libations, decor, comfort, on and on. From 1st picture my welcome cocktail all the way to final cocktail and wine in between 2nd picture to 1st course caviar bigger purse with no silverware 3rd picture to 2nd to last course truffle ice cream with all the toppings, including caviar My words don’t do this dining event Justice. Oh, and when I got back to the hotel, I found an incredible burger in a box that I carried back to the hotel without opening. That was breakfast! Will be back.”
“The food and service here are truly exceptional, but I would say this is a special occasion restaurant where you'd be better serviced with better portions at less expensive prices:Pros:Exceptional ServiceFresh and expertly prepared dishesCons:Sushi: although unbelievably fresh, the portions are just not worth the price. Nigiri sizes are incredibly, incredibly small for what you pay.Atmosphere: clubby vibe with very loud music can make it difficult to hear your dining partnersFor me, the price isn't worth the experience. I needed a cheeseburger after spending $200 per person.”
“Eubin took excellent care of my husband and I on our visit to barmini. It was our first visit (of many more to come) and every single cocktail was mind blowing. I had originally booked a flight, only to have to change it to a la carte in order to make dinner reservations. I wish we had cancelled dinner and stayed at barmini! I cannot find enough positive words to describe this experience. Worth every single cent and more. A must visit! We will be back! (And sit at the bar. The show of every cocktail being prepared truly adds to the experience!) the cake for my birthday was a spectacular gesture as well!”
“One of the best dining experiences in DC. Chef Jeremiah is outstanding; the meal is creative but accessible, and each course is better than the previous. We are so grateful to have Dabney in DC!”
“Amazing! The sushi tasting menu was exceptional and filling! Delicious and whimsical cocktails. Bar in the back, very hip and chic workout being pretentious. Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. All the skewers were amazing and the fried chicken and other bar snacks are classic bar foods, but way elevated- can not wait for the rest of the space to open!”
“My goodness...I am pretty sure Kappo DC is the closest thing to heaven on earth. Upon arriving, you are greeted with a conspicuous entrance, light brown wooden door, and a gold plaque with "Kappo Makoto" carved into it. It gave off a very exclusive and high end vibe. Once our dinner reservation time arrived, the door finally opened with a host greeting and welcoming us in. Walking by an amazing display of various bottles of sake and a large mirror for us to snap a picture together, we entered the main dining area. To start, the chefs introduced themselves and gave us a little history on the restaurant's creation and overall vision. We ordered our drinks and we were given the option for the uni & caviar add-on. Since it was my birthday, you can bet your ass we got it! To start, we were presented with the wagyu summer salad. Every ingredient paired perfectly together with a dash of acidity from the light dressing. The uni was absolute butter. The wagyu was melt in your mouth goodness. The greens provided the perfect balance to the rich, complex flavors from the uni and Wagyu together. I knew we were in for an amazing night. Next up was the Chawanmushi, a savory egg custard with wagyu. It was delicate and velvety, yet bursting with umami. Of course, with our caviar topping, this dish was the perfect amuse-bouche. The sashimi trio that followed did not disappoint. The first was light, refreshing, and well balanced. The colors of this dish popped, with bursts of green, pink and orange. The fish (I believe it was hamachi) was super fresh and perfectly marinated. The next one was more meat centric and being paired with the uni, it balanced out the sharper taste of the tuna. The final of the trio was a scallop sashimi, with thin cucumber slices and red onions in an acidic drizzle. Like the first one, it was refreshing and bright. Annnd let's not forget, the caviar/uni pairings which perfectly meshed with each dish. Next up we starting getting back into the wagyu with the Wagyu Menchi Katsu. This one was fun to eat, not anything super impressive, but overall had rich flavor and sat atop a small pool of sauce and a shishito pepper. Overall, a nice change of pace from the fish heavy dishes from before. Onto the Wagyu Chirashi Sushi, this was by far one of my favorite dishes on the menu. The presentation was gorgeous, with a small ball of white rice topped with orange salmon roe, red tobiko, bright yellow quail egg, vibrant green chives, a little yellow flower and a gold flake on top. Let's not forget the radiant uni and caviar to top it all off, this dish was bursting with color. The flavor was overwhelmingly good. My friend, wife and I couldn't stop ourselves making awkward "mmmm's" and "oooh's" out loud lol. It was served in the perfect portion, as any more would have been too overwhelming, but any less would leave much to desire. The Wagyu sukiyaki was a good transition from the rich and savory flavors of the Chirashi. It was solely Wagyu beef with glass noodles and some greens on top, sitting in a puddle of delicious sauce. Sweet yet savory. At this point I was getting very full. Finally the Curry Udon arrived. It was good, but honestly it was definitely well past the climax of the courses. I found this to be a grounding dish, bringing us back down to earth after being sent into space. It was comforting and warm. I wouldn't say it was amazing, it was just nice. A reminder that overindulgence can be detrimental to your overall enjoyment. They did provide me with a scoop of some yummy ice cream since it was my birthday, but also we were sent home with some Royce chocolate. Among the dishes, they had really great cocktails and we also got a bottle of "Seven Spearsmen" sake, which paired really well with the rich and fatty flavors we consumed. Service was phenomenal and I think the chef's enjoyed us at the counter because of how expressive we were and amazed by each dish that was put forth. They spent a lot of time chatting with us while preparing t”
“Food slections from varied menu and service were excellent. Prices have definitely increased since last visits and administrative fee for using credit card? What's that about at a restaurant where everyone uses a credit card?”
“Absolutely amazing experience! I almost never write reviews, but this place was so incredible that I had to this time.We went on a Friday night and did the 7-course tasting menu and drink pairing at the chef's counter. I'm sure it's not part of the experience every time, but it actually turned into about a 9-course tasting because they served some extras not on the menu that they were excited to share. Every aspect was incredible.Starting off, before we even arrived, with personalized contact from Brian to ensure that they knew everything from our names, if it was special occasion, dietary restrictions, etc. It was clear they wanted to make sure it was a special experience for us before we even stepped foot in the restaurant. On arrival the environment was incredible and the whole staff was friendly and consistently went out of their way to make the evening memorable. The food was, of course, incredible. But even more enjoyable was the detailed explanation of both the food we were being served and the wine choices for pairing. We learned a lot about how they prepared the food, where the ingredients were locally sourced from, etc. Not only was it informative, but their true passion for the quality of what they were serving really shined through.Just as top notch as the food, the service was incredible. They were true professionals that knew exactly how to strike the balance between being highly attentive without interfering with our date. The pacing of the servings was absolutely spot on. We neither had to wait between courses nor had courses stacking up. Everything was executed flawlessly.Hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. Great food, great environment, and absolutely exceptional service. We will be back for sure and will enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience. Extremely well done!”

“Dear Diary - What an amazing place! The food menu, extremely helpful members, and drinks were absolutely wonderful in making the experience great. Since I have a few food allergies, they were able to accommodate and make substitutions. I definitely recommend going here. I can't wait until their menu rotates to go again!”
“10/10. Went for our anniversary and they treated us like royalty. Beautiful, understated atmosphere. Did the chefs tasting menu and every bite was perfect. Squash soup, tuna tartare, and ocean trout were our favorites. Left stuffed and happy. Easy walk from red line metro too.”
“Excellent. Go ahead and ask the bar manager about the incredibly curated bar and wine selection - much of it local. Excellent bites, esp the ceviche. Make this place your local ?Kid-friendliness: Have supported neighborhood schools including Ludlow. Explicitly welcoming parents and kiddos to come right after school.”
“Had a wonderful time at the 25th anniversary celebration. The food ; wine; and drinks were spectacular. The service was overwhelming! My wife and I love this special place. Everyone needs to experience the greatest restaurant in town! You be pleased you went.”
“Loved the ambiance. Very interesting decor. Wish I had sat near the fireplace. Service was awesome and attentive Food made us all happy but you have to get the bouillabaisse and the duck fat old fashioned were my favorites. Great presentation”
“The best vegan dining experience I’ve ever had, and “I’ve been around the block”. From the time I walked in the door and was greeted by the hostess, from the server, the sommelier, the food, ambiance- everything was perfect. The food was unique, and delicious. (even my non vegan friend loved it) however, the presentation and service is what put the cherry on top. Just a one of a kind dining experience that will be very hard to top.”

“Visited this place in DC last weekend with family and it's the best! The pre-dinner bar experience was delightful with excellent martinis. The waiter made it special by asking about our celebration. With a party of seven, we tried different entree's and everyone was impressed with the quality and portions size. The waiter was helpful with menu suggestions. We felt right at home 10/10, definitely coming back !”

“Very cute and innovative Japanese-Italian fusion spot! I had the Vongole Ramen, which was very tasty, although also extremely rich so perhaps difficult to finish towards the end.The onigiri was also interesting, although many of them were a bit lacking in filling.”
Cheap Eats
“Overall food was decent. Fries with chili and cheese were above average and milkshakes were excellent. Where it failed was the burgers. Probably one of the most average hamburgers I have ever had and I find it comparable to McDonald's. I didn't have it I was told their half smoke was delightful.I am giving it a 3 as it is apparently well-known but was fairly average in my perspective.I'm updating this to 4 stars because after our meal 90 year old owner, Virginia, took time to talk to us and tell us all about her and the restaurants history that is rich and pivotal in the black community of the area. Amazing conversation with her and if you can you should visit with her!”
“Amazing food from start to finish, amazing portions, great tea, and Coffee. We read the reviews as we where looking for a place to eat breakfast. The owner is amazing, the food is phenomenal, my family and I all agreed. My kids never agree on food, we were all in a food coma.”
“Sidamo Coffee and Tea in West Hollywood is a true gem! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Their selection of beverages is extensive and always delicious, and they also offer tasty pastries to accompany your drink. It's become my go-to place for a relaxing and enjoyable break in the city. Highly recommended!Parking: It depends at what time you visit this place.”
“If I could give this place 100/5 I would. Went for a drink, stayed for 3 hours. Luke is the best bartender both in the drinks he makes but also helping find the right cocktail for your mood. Even gave us a few small samples of the drinks on tap to try beforehand.GET THE RHUBARB SODA it might change your life. Most of the people at the bar with us were locals and regulars. Very cute decor as well.Small spot so limited seating. If you want to go for dinner recommend getting a reservation ahead of time.If I lived here I’d have my name engraved on a stool.”
“What a great place! Recommended by the bell hop, unassuming but crisp decor and service …and an amazing plate of breakfast! If in the area, highly recommended.”
“I ordered the honey butter chicken sandwich at Wisconsin road at DC I believe number two on the menu it was so tasty and delicious and the service also very excellent!! Definitely I’m gonna go back with my family.”
“The cupcakes at Baked and Wired were huge! And so, so good. A+. Service is attentive, knowledgeable, and quick. It's a good thing, too, because the lines are loooong. There is a cute seating area in the back. The bathroom is small but servicable.”
“The food here was incredible! The sambusas were so crispy. The lentil was my favorite. We also got the derek tibs and the veggie combo platter. It was delicious we somehow finished the entire plate. Injera was super good too. We also really enjoyed the house made honey wine. It was not too sweet and was really good.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie dishes and vegetarian combo platter”
“Shout out to Jordan G. He took my large order. A side & kids meal got omitted. Went back the next day. It was SUPER BUSY but he was very courteous and quickly made the items. For some reason their mac & cheese has never been on point. Most other dishes are very good. Staff are friendly. Go when it's not busy.”
“The pink exterior of this building is unmissable; it seems to have become a must-visit brunch spot for those living in Georgetown. While we may have forgotten what we ordered, one thing not to be missed is their "spicy honey" - it elevates the taste of the bagel to a whole new level. Seating is limited, so it's first come, first served!”
“I'm from Texas and have been dying to find a breakfast taco spot. I might as well have been in my mom's kitchen, eating tacos on a Sunday morning. that's how amazing La Tejana tacos are!”
“It makes sense why these $5 cookies are so popular. First look, they didn’t look like it’ll meet the hype, however, when I took my first bite; it was warm and gooey. Amazing! Had to go back and pick up a dozen!”
“Can't recommend this place enough!! The entrance is actually very hidden which adds to the speakeasy element. The bartenders are excellent, especially Jake who was controlling the music and making our fab Tom Collins. Highly recommend!!!”
“I can’t even explain itso you have to stop by and try for your selfYou won’t regret itJust go try and thank me laterGreat food great drinks great prices great service that’s all I can say.”
“This place defines the word community. I don’t come to places twice when in DC. This has become an exception to the rule now. The owners made me feel like old friends. The staff are courtesy and professional. I had an amazing coffee. Great beer the night before and watched the WNBA playoffs. I also watched the owner serve her community when someone most bars would throw out came in then one of the owners got up and got this lady some soda. Little things like this are impressive - yes this is a bar, but it is true community demonstrated live and In person.”

“Orders are placed via phone or you can order at the counter but the tip defaults to 22%. I’m a generous tipper but am annoyed at this, esp when our server didn’t return with sugar after being asked for it or to check up on us. Otherwise, it’s a very cozy place.”

“Absolutely memorable and enjoyable dining experience. Wonderful and attentive service. Beyond imaginable flavor profile. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Made the birthday celebration extra special with their own added touches. Truly incredible! Come here - you won’t regret it.”

“I have not only travelled to Thailand, but studied Thai cuisine and also attended cooking classes. This place is the REAL DEAL!!!! Not your run of the mill pad thai place. More northern cuisine if you are familiar with it, think Chang Mai. Everything is out of this world, great bar and drinks, friendly and warm staff that attends to your every need.”
“I’d recommend this place just based on the food itself. I had calamari and a regular lobster roll with sweet potato fries and it was delicious! But the staff is what made Georgetown Seafood special. Right when we walked in (out of a huge rainstorm), a staff member put a towel by the door for us to place our umbrellas on while another staff member immediately found us a table to seat our big group. They took the time to make us feel like VIPs, even down to the extra treats they offered to us after our meal! The place is small, has steep/narrow stairs to the upper level (where the bathroom is located), but even with that I would 100% eat here again and again. Thanks Georgetown Seafood for a wonderful experience!!”

“One of my favorite restaurants! They have incredible options for gluten and dairy-free diners. Veggies instead of bread for dips, homemade almond yogurt to replace any yogurt in entrees. We had the mini tasting menu and there were very few adjustments needed. Absolutely delicious, especially the squash side, the lamb chops, the chicken in yogurt-based sauce, the rice with carrots and raisins, and tasty cocktails. Warm, cozy ambiance with a frequent sitar player.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten feee options and many dairy-containing options can be made dairy-free using their homemade almond yogurt.”
“I chose this establishment for my first Thai food experience, I had drunken noodles, egg rolls and Crab Rangoon. Everything was delicious and I’ll be making a return trip for sure.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu and the waitress will also ask if you would like it vegetarian.”

“Our server, Frank was incredibly welcoming and kind. We had some lovely conversation with him throughout the meal and enjoyed the service, courses, and the overall atmosphere. Each course was paired well with Audrey's Wine pairing and the dishes were stunning.”
“Lamb chops steak is delicious! The fried potatoes were delicious! Brusselsprouts with fruit jam sweet and appetizing! His family's Pitabread can continue indefinitely”
“Believe the hype, this place is outstanding. Service was impeccable and the omakasi was delicious. Yes, this place is expensive and yes it's worth it. They have a fantastic wine list and very knowledgeable staff. Get your reservation in now as it is very popular and it is fairly small.”

“Visited the café today! Loved the delectable and creative menu, the warm service, and the beautiful, cozy interior. We enjoyed the inasal, tocino, and ube latte (complete with delicate latte art) courtesy of Sun and Stars Coffee. Our kid was thrilled she could enjoy an ube steamer, too-- and didn't want to stir her drink because she found the art (Hiraya's logo in this instance) so beautiful. If you want reimagined, creative, and elevated Filipino cuisine where the flavors simultaneously bring back sensory memories of the comfort food of your childhood, this is the place for you. Can't wait to return!”

“Wow. Just wow. This is a must experience. Everything was an explosion of flavor. Every bite, every sip. Thank you Chef Rene and Fernando for such an amazing experience. We most certainly be back!”
“In a spot where space seems quite debated,And for tables, folks patiently waited,Though the meat was overdone,The service was second to none,And their quick, friendly charm, we celebrated.Though the crowd seemed to give them a test,The wait staff showed they were the best. With meals served with speed,Fulfilling every need,In the end, their efforts impressed.”

“5 out of 5 stars, this three story restaurant is interestingly unnoticeable but I’m glad I was invited here to experience it. It sits next to an open air lot which is definitely needed on H St. The food was amazing, I had the sea bass, plantains, salad, and cassava fries (can’t remember what they were called) and everything was so good. The staff was efficient and friendly and the chef came out to speak with us and it amazing to see that he’s native DC and young he is. I definitely recommend this place for dinner. I wish I paused to take pictures but maybe next time.”

“Absolutely loved this place! The authentic decor and wonderful staff made it so memorable. The food we had were beyond amazing. Highly recommend the laghman noodles, the goshnan & midye baklava. The lamb was cooked very well here.”

This place where you want to come back again and again!Parking: Across the street free parking, but it is difficult to find a slot daytime.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely welcome kids! I was with 3 kids. And everyone could choose what he wanted, not spicy food. The steak was very soft and the kids loved it!”

“I really wanted to give a 5 star review because the food was incredible, however the service was slow for the price point. Plus, the 4% surcharge added onto the bill is deceptive. Our waiter explained that instead of raising their menu prices, they just tack on the fee. However, it’s not clear on the menu what exactly this fee goes towards. Why not just raise the price by $2 and stop fooling customers?I’d come back for the food for take away or to sit outside- the inside was cramped and very loud.”
“Great little hole in the wall. The place seemed to be packed with locals on a Thursday night which is always a good sign. Bartenter was fantastic. Efficient and friendly.”

“Food slections from varied menu and service were excellent. Prices have definitely increased since last visits and administrative fee for using credit card? What's that about at a restaurant where everyone uses a credit card?”

Purple Patch
“My partner and I walked in at 6:30 PM on a busy Friday night without a reservation (I didn’t realize they had started taking reservations!) The host said the only options were bar seating or outdoor seating under heat lamps. We didn’t really want either of those options, but understood that since we didn’t have a reservation, we could not be very choosy. The host then kept looking at his reservation app and offered us a very nice table as long as we could be finished by 8:30 PM. We said that two hours is plenty of time! He said he felt bad that there wasn’t room for us but we assured him this was perfect and we would definitely be finished by the time he needed the table back. He was so kind and accomodating. The rest of the staff was also excellent (as always!) and the food was outstanding. I have always loved Purple Patch and will certainly return soon. Thank you PP team for being awesome!”
“Amazing Easter Brunch! Thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Brunch experience at 1789. The menu, ambience, and service were exceptional. Gluten Free options available as well.”

“The ambiance and food was immaculate! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made appropriate food recommendations for our party. I enjoyed the Shrimp Thermidor as a starter and Cumin Lamb as my entree. They were both delectable, I can't say one was better than the other. I'm ready to go back!”
“Amazing staff, fast and very tentative. Great to be able to relax, enjoy your company, have delicious drinks, and eat as if your Auntie made it. We will be back!!!”

“Have stopped in twice, both times for the Happy Hour in the first floor bar area. The drinks have been excellent and the bartenders attentive. The food options for the HH are varied and each dish was satisfying and unique. Highlights are the soup dumplings, pork belly, and khachapuri breads (cannot go wrong with any of the varieties). I haven’t tried for a standard dinner but the tastings I’ve had and service make this a great spot. Street parking only if you’re driving, but the neighborhood is solid and you shouldn’t have too much issue.”
“I had my birthday breakfast at The Greenhouse in DC. I ordered the Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes. ? These were fluffy, not too sweet, not too 'chocolately', and the banana on the top was glazed with crystalized sugar ..mmm.. Just right for me. The staff was friendly, too. Overall a pleasant experience. ??Kid-friendliness: I saw a few tables with families/grandparents and children sitting together.”

Lapis
“Every bite we had here was delicious. Their Lapis Old Fashioned is delectable and Trilogy is a fun take on Mezcal. The Lamb Shank absolutely dissolved in my mouth. The Lamb Masala had incredible flavor and Mahee had a wonderful crust. We had a hard time deciding on the best dessert. The Cacao, Sheer Berenj, Sheer Yakh, and some pistachio cake were a perfect sweet finish.”

“We were in a Rush to find something to eat at the end of a very long day, and found this cute little restaurant that was said to have good gluten-free options. We were lucky to get seated pretty quickly on a Monday evening, and the waiter took great care of us. I had a nice gluten-free lamb bolognese, and the others at our table really enjoyed their dishes as well. The waiter was even able to bring out gluten-free bread for me. Allergen safety seems to be quite excellent at this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and nut free options available.”
“Had a delicious meal on the 2nd floor, outdoor dinning space. Sunday brunch with a view of the baseball stadium. Really enjoyed the avocado toast, scrambled egg flatbread & wings. Cocktails were great too!”

“Went for bottomless brunch and tried basically everything on the brunch menu. Every dish was amazing! The servers were also on top of every table’s needs, despite it being busy. (It does tend to get loud inside). 100/100!”
“Great business lunch spot! Service is on point - which is often hard to find in DC. The food is creative and delicious. I highly recommend the steak salad for lunch. The steak is perfectly cooked and the salad fresh and refreshing. Overall such a great experience - enjoy!”

“The Green Zone rules. One of the best spots in the city. Delicious food and drinks, mocktails too, great vibes, nice service — perfect. Don’t sleep on the weekend brunch. (But for a place with Palestine flags/signs, why the Obama pic?)”

“If you are craving great sushi and great service you have to come here!!!! I got the firecracker roll and the seaweed salad and it was soo good and very fresh!! Jc was my server and he was the best server I’ve had hands down!!! 100000/10.”

Cranes
“Bottom line up front, Cranes is a MUST for DC’s Winter Restaurant Week! From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! The Faux-jito, Squash Hummus, Ramen, and Iberico Pork Fried Rice were fantastic! When there was a problem with our bill, it was quickly resolved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!!!”
“Amazing!! Best guacamole we’ve ever had. Margarita was excellent. We had the short ribs, taquitos, and a variety of the tacos. Ordered a second guac. Server, Angel, was superb!! Can’t say enough about this place.Dietary restrictions: Great options for gluten free and vegan.”
“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.”

Nina May
“Loved dining at Nina May’s for Easter Brunch! Made the reservation quite last minute but we were still able to snag a table for two at one of D.C’s best restaurants! We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! Our server was attentive and really went the extra mile to fix a small mishap (we got to try the amazing carrot cake, on the house!!! it was splendid!!!!). Will definitely be back since they have a seasonal menuParking: Parking is quite limited as most of the streets surrounding this restaurant are restricted/limited to zone/permit holders which seems to be a theme in D.C. Be aware and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier so you have time to look without getting late. Though a host did mention there is a grocery store nearby that you could park at though!”
“I had the pleasure of dining at Swahili Village Restaurant and I must say that the food and my experience was amazing. The food tasted so good and was accompanied by African music. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who were happy to share their knowledge of the dishes and made sure my dining experience was just perfect. I loved the decor and the drinks were fantastic. I really am lost for words, apart from the fact that you absolutely have to eat there or you will miss out on something exceptional.”

Kappo DC

“I was contemplating between 4 and 5 stars here. I wish yelp had 'half stars.' Take out: I've ordered take out from here twice and have been very pleased with my experience both times. I had the pad see ew and spicy eggplant. Both were very good. Dine in: I came in for lunch yesterday and had a good experience. I ordered a Thai tea and pad Thai noodles. The Thai tea was delicious and the pad Thai was also very good. The pad Thai did taste slightly burnt but not so much so that i didn't enjoy the dish. Pad Thai 4/5 Thai tea: 5/5 Ambiance: clean. Service: good. It wasn't busy so there's one FOH person. He handled front desk, serving and to go orders just fine. He checked on me throughout my time there. Menu: they do NOT have a lunch menu. I read from previous yelpers that they ordered off the lunch menu, but unfortunately they don't have a lunch menu anymore. Other: i came in to eat and work, but right now they do not have WiFi. I was able to use my hotspot just fine. I will be back to try other menu items as i have enjoyed everything I've eaten so far.”
“We are obsessed with Revelers hour! It’s so cozy inside and the food is always delicious - the garlic knots are a must. Great alternative to tail up goat , more food for less price! Our waiter was great at selecting wines for our table. Also good for vegetarians too - plenty of options I could choose from! The tortelli and the ceaser are some of our favorites.Vegetarian options: Multiple pastas and appetizers for vegetarians!”

“This spot on H St Corridor is hands down my favorite. The drinks, service, and food consistently impress. The ambiance is wonderfully moody with dim lighting and great background music. I always opt for the vegan version of the beef noodles, which are consistently flavorful and delicious. The bartenders are not only friendly but also knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations. I appreciate that they maintain an accessible archive of past menus, allowing guests to order from a wide range of drink options. Despite its small size and the place sometimes getting crowded, outdoor seating and an extra bar on the back patio provide additional space.”

Ceibo
“Second time to Ceibo and it once again did not disappoint. Start first with the excellent, interesting, and perfectly made craft cocktails. Next move on to the food, everything is exceptional and intriguing. It's hard not to order the entire menu. You can't quite place the food concept; part Latin flavors, part Italian, part Asian, but how this team has put it together just works. Each dish is beautifully plated and with appropriate portions for a filling meal. Everyone reported their dishes to be both delicious and unexpected. One of the most exciting food experiences in DC right now. Last, the restaurant itself is minimalist, but reminded me of a hip restaurant in Mexico City. The tables are nicely spaced apart so you don't feel you are eating with your neighbors and the noise level is lively but not loud, so you can have a relaxed conversation with your dinner mates. The dining space is split between an upper level and a lover level. The bar is on the lower level, so feels a bit more lively than the upper level. All around a wonderful experience and a fantastic addition to the AdMo/DC dining scene.”
“Craving a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience? Look no further than The Bombay Club in Washington DC. Stepping into the restaurant is like entering a world of sophisticated elegance. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a touch of old-world charm. Live piano music fills the air, adding a touch of romance and enhancing the overall ambiance. But the true star of the show is the food. They boasts a menu that delivers a delightful journey through the diverse flavors of India. From perfectly spiced curries to melt-in-your-mouth tandoori meats, every dish is bursting with authenticity. The menu caters to a variety of palates, offering both familiar favorites and more adventurous options.”
“Wonderful take on traditional Indian cuisine. Loved the seafood options. Great cocktail and wine selection. Everything was so flavorful but not overwhelming. Service was top notch. Can’t wait to go back.”
“Couldn't ask for a more convenient place to eat and drink when staying in the Phoenix Park Hotel since its right in the lobby and there isn't a whole lot of options in the area. Nice service at the bar and in the restaurant. Food was pretty good too. Also went to a private pre-wedding party here that was well serviced.”
“We are tourist & was searching for a place too eat since our first choice for dinner totally ignored us after we sat there 30 minutes we left. This pizza joint is absolutely delicious. The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. I mean if you gonna charge $14 @ least give me something other than basic lettuce.”

Ambar Shaw
“Ambar's newest location does not disappoint. If you know Ambar, it goes without saying the food is amazing. new offerings on the menu gave me some new favorites to add to my already long list. New cocktails for a new address, yes and thank you! The design esthetic is light and refreshing...And the 2nd floor ceiling is an instagram dream. Easily 5 stars.”
“It’s a great place for brunch. My immigrant poke was delicious, lots of fish and wonderful sauce. We took a table outside and enjoyed the pleasant spring sun. Highly recommend!”
“This restaurant truly lives up to its 4$ Rating. I can’t wait to go back. Robby and his crew gave exceptional customer service. I have already started to tell all my peers you have to go to this restaurant.”

“This is the best Popeyes Chicken. I went to the one in Northwest and on Oxon Hill next to the Giant. This one tastes so much better. I don't know why. The signature hot wings are delicious here. The area is bad but the food is great.”

“I looked in the window and the furniture and equipment have been taken away. The best cup of coffee on Capitol Hill is gone. Will really miss Nellie and the owners.”
“Our go-to for the best Thai food in the area!! Everything is fresh, flavorful and delicious. The decor is modern and comfortable. We particularly like sitting in the booths. We generally have a good service there, but the last time we went with a party of 5. The waitress added an automatic 20% gratuity and then was incredibly slow and curt. We literally sat for 20 minutes before she even greeted us. Then we sat for another 15 minutes before she took our drink order. After waiting another 15 minutes we had to hunt her down to take our food order and then later for the check. It was the slowest meal I’ve ever had anywhere. Thankfully, the food was still delicious and we weren’t in a hurry, so I didn’t feel the need to complain. :)Parking: We parked in the garage right next to the restaurant for $6 flat. If you are facing the front door of resto, garage is immediately to the right. The street is one way, so have to turn onto it before the restaurant.”
“Amazing food and service. It was our second time here and it has become one of our favorites. The owner went above and beyond to fix a small error. Highly highly recommend Angolo. If you don't go, you're missing out!”
“This place is amazing, the price is so worth it. Everything is made fresh, so much flavor, I've been going here for about 2 years now often and I never had a meal that disappoints. You can even sample the soups they have that day, it's great! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I am not a beef or pork eater and they always have something either vegetarian, chicken or turkey.”
“Magical. For me, this place is an essential part of the DC experience. The squeeze bottles, the atmosphere, the staff: I would never consider visiting DC on a weekend and not stopping by.”
“Very speedy and friendly delivery. We had your food, for part of our Thanksgiving meal. The salmon and chicken kabobs were delicious. The tzatziki and Mediterranean style cooked vegetables were delicious as well. Would recommend ordering from Palette Dome Cuisine, for any occasion. Keep up the good cooking.”
“I have been coming to this restaurant for 20 years. It is charming, very dog friendly on their beautiful patio , reasonably priced and delicious!! Tonight we ordered the take out Valentines menu (my husband has a broken ankle) and it was delicious! We have ordered many of their “comfort meals” during Covid and all were very tasty and very generous. My husband is 5’10” and a former football player and I honestly think their meals for two Could feed three! We are so happy to have this great restaurant in our neighborhood.”
“This is such a comfortable place. Come dressed up or dressed down. The service is amazing. The drinks are delicious. They deserve so much credit. The food was DELICIOUS! Not too salty just right! It’s really a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful experience. It’s for everyone those who are His, Hers, and They. I loved this place.
“I've been before, to another one, but my experience wasn't the best, so i vowed never to go back. I went with my daughter who lives by this place..lol It was a better experience and the staff was very nice. Now I have to have a bowl at least once to twice a week! I love Mediterranean!! ❤️❤️”

“We ate breakfast at Founding Farmers 3 out of the 4 days we were in DC. Foggy Bottom location (2) and Chinatown (1). Food and service was great! The only reason I'm hitting the Atmosphere with a 4 is because the outdoor heating lamps at the Foggy Bottom location look to be in rough shape and the booths at the Chinatown location had crumbs though the section we were sat in looked to have been un-sat-in that early morning, so guessing that those crumbs had been left from the day/evening prior. Thanks for being great overall though, Founding Farmers! My boyfriend and I now sing "I fell in love with The Founding Famers" to the tune of the country song "Farmer's Daughter" by Rodney Atkins - haha. We will definitely be back next time we're in DC, thanks!”
“Fun and lively Saturday morning brunch. All the food was great and my whole family enjoyed. Very busy, but the service was friendly and they did their best to keep up.”
“Service, atmosphere and food! All 10s Tarik was amazing ans suggested really nice options for us "first timers" ! Will definitely return. Oh we were seating within 5 minutes of arriving.”
“Went for Sunday brunch buffet and it was a good variety of items and nice dining room. The buffet wasn’t set up for all the guests so it was crowded and difficult to move around. However the server we had was great and very friendly. I had a hibiscus flavored soda made there and it was FANTASTIC.”
“Fun place for our wonderful company and a server who was terrific. We had reservations and still waited 30 minutes for a seat. Food was both great and not so great. Stay away from the kale salad. Everything else was good.”

“Love this restaurant! Food, service and ambiance are all great! I hosted a work holiday party here and have been back for smaller dinners with family. I highly recommend!”
“The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere is cozy yet a little busy. The food is very good but fell short in a couple of areas, but only because our expectations were probably set a little high given the reviews and menu prices. The biggest improvement, in my opinion, can be made to the shrimp and grits. The flavors came off a little bland, and the texture was very wet, almost runny. It was close to being soup with how much sauce and oil was allowed to sit over and around the grits. I still think this is a great place to visit and recommend it if you haven't been yet.”
“I went with my boyfriend and we saw the beautiful igloo that they have in the rooftop. We wanted to have a bottle of wine and something to eat but we did not have a reservation, the manager James Bone, very attentive, accommodated us with a reservation and was very attentive to our entire evening, excellent hospitality that he provided us , food quality it was excellent and the best part the dessert with an amazing culinary technique, absolutely we will to back.”

“I'd come back for a slice. Located inside the Western Market on/near GW University. A little hard to find, yelp map doesn't match actual location (used google maps instead). Ordered a half margarita half pepperoni pie. Was hungry so ordered a slice of margarita pizza while we waited. The slice was awesome!!! The crust was crispy airy and delicious. Disappointed a little with the crust on the whole pie... it wasn't crispy at all... a little chewy. Tasted like two completely different pizza spots. Service was friendly. There was room for small or medium sized groups with seating in the back or out in the market place walk way. They had a large selection of drinks including beer/wine/etc.”
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Los Caballeros for their weekend brunch and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff and the owner himself. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and had a laid-back vibe, perfect for a lazy weekend brunch. Now let's talk about the food. Los Caballeros proved to be a pleasant surprise. They were able to accommodate options for vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians. But what truly stole the show for me were the drinks. I highly recommend trying their pitcher of tamarindo margarita. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, and definitely hit the spot. They also had other options like mimosas and bloody marys for those who prefer a classic brunch drink. The owner, who was also our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He made sure we were enjoying our meal and even gave us some recommendations for their signature dishes. It was evident that he takes great pride in his restaurant and wants his customers to have a memorable experience. To end our brunch on a sweet note, we decided to try their dessert. And let me tell you, it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.Overall, my experience at Los Caballeros was exceptional. From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend checking them out for their weekend brunch or even for a regular meal. The owner and his team have truly created a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for their customers. So next time you're in the mood for some delicious food, head over to Los Caballeros and treat yourself to a delightful brunch. You won't regret it.Parking: This area of parking gets very busy due to being right beside the area of the Capitol.”
“Stopped by Minya's this week. Grabbed a ginger tea (amazing) and avocado toast. Both were delicious. The bread for the toast was locally sourced and the ginger tea was from their in house brand imported from Eritrea. Oh and surprise there is a beautiful SPEAKEASY downstairs! I will definitely return to try their derho (think Doro Wot) pizza and to visit the speakeasy. Excellent customer service and quality food. A must try in the city.”
“The food and service were incredible especially give how recently they opened. I had a filet and frites. The steak was a perfect medium rare. The au poivre sauce was delicious. I also got the bearnaise sauce which was very tasty.”
“The much-anticipated sister restaurant of Purple Patch opened just a few weeks ago and I'm already hooked! It's a lovely addition to the neighborhood, offering a simple menu with a lot of flavor. The wagyu burger is nicely balanced, and depending on your appetite you can get a single to a triple patty. The ube soft serve with coconut is such a hit and the flavors are perfect. It's been really busy for good reason, so you might have to wait in line especially on really nice days, but service is pretty fast and they also have an order online link. Enjoy the outdoor seating on a nice day! Indoor area is small but very pretty, and stools with counter-style tables lining the interior. Very kid friendly as well as they have a kids' menu,' tables, and neighborhood kids' art on the walls. You can also purchase a few Filipino snacks like v-cut chips and boy bawang (garlic corn nuts), and they also have some canned non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available. With the addition of Joia Burger, the owner Patrice really shows how much she cares about the Mount Pleasant community and is invested in it. It's a great spot to swing by for a quick meal and friendly faces!”
“We had such an amazing experience! Initially, we planned to dine at Maydan, which has outdoor seating. However, since Medina was closed that day, we unexpectedly had the opportunity to sit inside at Medina and still enjoy Maydan’s menu. The vibe, the food and the service - all impeccable. It was just the two of us so we didn’t get the tawle (food tasting) menu, however the a la carte experience was just as filling if not more.”
“Energetic atmosphere at brunch, very good small plates. We had the roast carrot dip w naan, beef shishlik, charred prawns, duck confit benedict, and Liege waffle. The carrot dip, beef, and waffle were especially tasty. They have art by local artists for sale on the walls, giving an interesting visual component to the restaurant experience. Two small criticisms: The coffee was strong enough to use in batteries, and for a party of two, the small table meant that ordering any more than two dishes at a time resulted in frustrating dish juggling. We will definitely return with a larger group.”
“came for dinner for iftaar since the menu’s halal & the flavor was unreal, we came as a group & tried one of everything and left full & very satisfied!! Highly recommend and will be a consistent customer for ”
“the coffee is fantastic, and the food is DELICIOUS (I'm constantly craving a Yoube Special). The staff is kind and the space is clean & quiet, always with nice music playing.”
“What a great addition to Capitol Hill-- delicious food, good atmosphere, reasonable prices. I'm going to get some friends together soon to check out the upstairs open air patio (with heater if needed). So far I've enjoyed the salmon entre and the delicious--and authentic--lobster roll. There's lots more on the menu for me to check out!”
“Had a great experience here! The service was fantastic. We ordered a pizza, a panini, and bruschetta and everything tasted great with generous portions and a fair price. Looking forward to going back soon!”
“They had great drinks for St. Patrick’s day. The truffle fries were also really good. They also have a connect four board and a dart board which was fun to play with my friends.”
“I didn't dine in. I ordered the pizza via door dash. The pizza was still hot on arrival. The chicago style pizza was delicious. The wings were big. And the salad was cold and separate from the hot food which is a plus for me.”
“No complaints from me :) Nice and new. Wheelchairs can get in through the back from M St. We were early for dinner, so the only ones when we got there, but it started getting busier while we were there. Wonderful service. They were friendly and explained the menu. The food was the best part: incredibly delicious variety, healthy, and filling. Lots of options eaten by picking up with injera bread. There are lots of different spices, and they made some dishes less spicy for someone in our group who couldn't eat spicy foods.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs can get in through the back from M St.”
“1st time going there this past Friday and the atmosphere was very nice and chill. The food was good, but due to some food restrictions, I couldn't eat a lot. The broccolini and okra were deliciou. Service and Servers were great. I shall be back.”
