After a few more dinners at Menya I decided to update my review. The place is consistently good. Spicy tonkatsu ramen and karage and truly exceptional. It has become a place I need to go back every once a while. And no more wait list!
This is the BEST ramen in DC. We come every Tuesday for their special and it is always great. I have visited other ramen places around USA and this is by far the best and I am so glad that we live in the same city.

Everything at Menya is completely mind-blowing and it's the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. It's a little hard to visit here especially with their hours but every time I can make the trip over to DC I always make an effort to come here. Their food stays consistent and service is incredible. It's amazing to watch how in synch the entire team is and they have an open kitchen where you can watch the staff make the endless bowls of ramen!
