The new Mi Vida was excellent - better than the former restaurant previously in the space. Food is a great representation of what I would call "continental" Mexican - far better than what typically passes for Mexican in the DC area. The service was outstanding, as we had a couple request, and the waiter had some very good suggestions. Margaritas were well made as well. Decor was very nice. I look forward to my next visit soon!
We tried this Mi Vida location for a business dinner versus the DC Wharf location for ease of access. But I found it to be very loud. We were barely able to hold a conversation without shouting as a group of three because of the concrete walls and ceilings. The food was good, and the service was satisfactory. It was the noise that got to me. Overall, I would go back to Mi Vida at the DC Wharf over Penn Quarter for ambiance.

Food and service were amazing! it is very loud, so don't expect to have a quiet, romantic dinner. The only other negative is the bathroom situation- it's so dark and creepy. You can't see in the hallway, I'm surprised more people don't fall. Put some brighter lights on people!
