Amzing place with a long history that definitely gets five stars in every category. We were served by Johny who went out of his way to please us. Food was amazing and high quality. We made reservations and were seated at the table real quick. Place definitely didnt dissapoint and I highly recomend it.

Please do not serve wine in a chipped wine chiller; it doesn't look good.

It is the oldest restaurant in Washington DC and was former President Obama's favorite restaurant. Because it gets so crowded, you must make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance, otherwise you will have to wait and only be able to sit at the bar. The food, service, and atmosphere are all excellent, so I highly recommend stopping by if you're visiting DC.

Wonderful experience here, with to notch food and service. Worth it to treat the family to such a delicious and thoughtfully prepared dinner. Upscale atmosphere while still welcoming to families and kids
What an amazing experience. The bacon cheeseburger is an experience like no other. The next visit I will explore more options by adding the toppings and trying other choices like the oyster riot. This historic grill is well worth the money, time, and effort when looking for a complete dining experience. Ask for Ross, he won't steer you wrong on the options and local favorites.Enjoy!

We had a lunchtime snifter in the corner bar, food is available here and easier to get a table at lunchtime. Great barman. We returned in the evening for dinner in the restaurant. Fantastic steak, nice surroundings, great service, good food and wine menu.

Really enjoyed our experience at The Old Ebbitt Grill.
Great good selection and qualitySaturday night was mobbed but the server was great and we did not feel rushed. The manager was very knowledgeable on wines and took time with us to review wine pairingsWe also found prices for entrees and wine very fair compared to other restaurants nearby. Great value and quality especially on one of their busiest nights of the week.Staff and kitchen are knowledgeable of celiac and have many gluten free options with expertise in appropriately preparing.Great dining experience and should not be overlookedDietary restrictions: Have many GF options on their menu for celiac spouse.
