Beautiful location inside the Waldorf Astoria hotel. You definitely need reservations. Even with reservations we had to wait over 30 extra minutes for our table. There are not formal dining tables- it's more of a lounge with low tables at some locations; higher tables at others. The food was good; the drinks were overpriced for what you get. Given the long wait, I do think the staff could have offered us a complimentary glass of wine or appetizer while we waited. But one of the hostesses was really working hard to get us seated; the other two seemed to not care about the number of people waiting. Once seated, our waiter was very attentive and gave us good service. Overall, I would be willing to give this place another try.

This is a wonderful gem of a restaurant in Georgetown. Very cute, clean crisp white tablecloths and a soft pink hue from the side lighting. Everything we ordered was divine - from the fried calamari and hummus appetizers, to the pistachio crusted mahi/grouper to dessert was tasty and beautifully presented. Impeccable service. Would definitely come back!

As soon as you enter the Peacock Cafe, you are treated like family. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. In addition to the wonderful service, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. I had a prix fixe meal which included a pistacchio soup, steak frites, and a berries with sorbet for dessert. All were tasty with impressive presentation. Great restaurant for dining while in the Georgetown area.

The Peacock Cafe is a gem. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and lively energy vibe. The warm stuffed grape leaves and beet salad were fresh and delicious. The grouper encrusted with pistachio served over a generous bed of spinach and surrounded by a subtle sweet sauce laced with cherries was pure bliss. They also have great burgers and the chocolate volcano cake was divine and beautifully presented with ice cream, strawberries, creme and mint leaves. The service is superb and the dining room manager went above and beyond. Prices are reasonable. We will be back!

pros: -the peacock fries are great! -good amount of gluten-free options -brunch is served late into the afternoon -lots of non-alcoholic beverage options cons: -The bathroom door swings in the wrong direction to be wheelchair accessible so you have to open up the kitchen door to use the restroom. -There was a trash can blocking the accessible entrance in the front so I was escorted through another accessible entrance in the back. accessibility is certainly an afterthought here.

They have this pecan tart thing that still haunts me, it was so mind-blowingly good.Seafood jambalaya was okay, a little under-seasoned. Service was good, atmosphere and location great.

Love this place! I've been a couple of times and it's always good. I got a sandwich with their gluten free bread for the first time and it was really good!! Fries are so good too.

A great go-to spot on Georgetown. It’s solid, consistent and appealing service keeps bringing folks back.Food > Soups, pistachio encrusted fish and fettuccine were all light and well executed.Service > Focused on a busy night - and kept things moving along.Space > Comfortable and lively. In short - a solid space that keeps the coming back over the past 20 years.
