Philz... more like BILLS! I spent $5.50 here for a medium coffee. It was pretty "fine," not tasting at all like high quality beans or a pour over. It reminded me of Starbucks, or even my at-home brewed Dunkin. Had I realized how expensive it was, I would have opted for a specialty drink, which were very beautiful and looked tasty from what I could see. My friend got the mocha and it was delicious, tasting like the adult version of a hot chocolate without being too overly sweet. The space indoors is limited, but there are some benches for those waiting for their drinks to come out, which was nice. There is one large table with tons of plugs, so if I return I'll try to snag a seat there and get some work done. I do appreciate all of their signage and flags!

I tried Philz for the first time today and it was amazing! I had the Mocha Tesora, basically tastes like hot chocolate with a hint of coffee. Super yummy on a cold day. My friend had the iced mint mojito it was also beautiful and delicious! I wish I had a picture. Staff was very friendly. We wanted to stay and work, but tables were full when we arrived so we decided to leave, but I'll definitely be back!

Homeless person sleeping and snoring very loudly with cat, even though on the door it says no pets allowed. I am allergic to cats and told the staff and they didn't do anything about it and said it was Ok. The drink I ordered was iced however it is just a hot drink with a few ice cubes. The iced coffee rose tasted horrible. Not coming back here again

First of all, the coffee is great. However, I think they should teach their staff how to measure coffee when preparing a pound of whole beans. Net weight excludes the weight of the bag. It's a matter of principle...

I'm from Ohio but have always heard people rave about Philz Coffee--especially their mint mojito coffee! To my surprise as I was in DC for a concert, I stumbled upon Philz Coffee and knew I had to make a trip! I got their most popular drink, The Mint Mojito Coffee and i was blown away at how delicious this drink was! I had them make it the barista way (they had a name for it but I forgot) and the coffee was so smooth and creamy, and the mint was oh so subtle. How I wish we had this in Ohio!

Four of us headed to Philz Coffee in Adams Morgan for a quick breakfast. We ordered four drinks and three pastries for $36. The service was fast and friendly. My chocolate croissant was fluffy and delicious - lots of chocolate between soft croissant layers. Philz is spacious and clean - a great place to meet friends, do some work on your laptop or just take a break. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in different places, so you are spaced out and not crowded. Philz is based in San Francisco but it doesn't feel like a chain store - it has a local feel.

Great Coffee/Comfy Space! I visited this Philz's location-first time (8/26/22). Located in The Adams-Morgan Neighborhood, Washington, DC- just off Columbia Rd. NW. I would frequent Philz's in Dupont Circle & Downtown Bethesda-they have since closed. So Sad! Welcome Philz Adams-Morgan. I ordered an iced decaf coffee. Philz used to offer (3) varieties of decaf (my last visit Philz/Bethesda 6/22), Now they have only (1) decaf coffee selection. I ordered it. Delicious, smooth, creamy & refreshing. Comfy leather sofas next to the window. A Long bench offers ample seating-while waiting for your order. Courteous Friendly Customer Service. See Photos!

Only place where I feel good spending $7 on a cold brew. I love Philz. The people who work here are so nice and warm, the coffee is special, and the breakfast burrito is incredible. Great place to sit and work or take coffee to go. Only downside is there’s only one bathroom which can get backed up every so often.After the Dupont location closed I’m now just hoping this one stays in business!
My sister and I have now made stopping by Philz an annual tradition! When driving through the city midway through a long drive, we were very excited to stop here again. I got the “Mocha Tesura” and my sister got the “Mint Mojito” both delicious coffee based drinks. We loved both and actually switched drinks because we both like the other better. Always a good time and NOT too pretentious cafe energy which I like to avoid. Highly recommend!!

Great atmosphere and the drinks are perfect. My favorite is the rosé flavored coffee with regular cream and sugar. Not overly sweet but totally well balanced.
