Spacy Cloud is one of the coolest atmospheres I’ve been in. The food was fantastic, and the beer was amazing.

Our visit was so poor, we decided to leave only after being there a short period of time.SERVICE: We encountered an attendant (also are eventual server) sitting outside, and she was "glued" to her phone. When asking her about where the establishment was located, she pointed aimlessly behind her (we could not tell if it was up or down some stairs). Another worker for another business provided that clarification. We walked into business and NOT ANOTHER CUSTOMER in sight (at dinner time, on a weekend, and they had been open for 3 hours). We looked around for a short time until the woman (our server) who was outside finally entered. She provided no assistance and appeared very uninterested with her ONLY customers. The server was again more concerned with texting than assisting us.ATMOSPHERE: Not great! While the music was rather loud there was also loud music coming from an opening from another business below (a wide opening, which could likely be closed/sealed). The smell of marijuana was also coming from that same area. I feel I understand the vibe they are going for, but hanging old, used shoes near and above glasses that you provide to your customers was not comforting. Both my dinner guest and I, got a rather "unclean vibe" from the place. My guest explored more of the place, which made her conclude that she was not willing to order food there.SERVICE AGAIN: My guest had ordered one drink. We both were so unimpressed and annoyed that we decided to leave. We tried waiting for our server to come back to the table, but I had to get up and request her assistance, as she was again busy texting on her phone. I requested the bill for a canned drink $9.90. I handed her a twenty dollar bill, and she stated she could not break the bill. She requested I pay with a card. WHAT FOOD ESTABLISHMENT DOESN'T HAVE CASH??? I did not wish to pay with a card, as I had read reviews there was automatic gratuity. I offered her $7.00 in cash or she could find change for the twenty (I only had those options). After looking confused for a minute, she finally was able to find some cash for change (why wasn't this done from the start?). If you don't accept cash, please post that information at the entrance or inform people prior to entering.I don't know if to hold accountable the server, management, or owners? However, I hope they address the service issue, as this was incredibly disappointing.

Had a stellar Portabello Steak sandwich. So damn good! Potatoes on the side served with a wonderful homemade dressing. Too bad I was heading to work. The place has an inviting atmosphere and it screams "Relax here!". I will definitely be back.

Came here for the vegan fish & chips... out of stock. Half the menu is out of stock. Server is so irritated to have to answer our questions or help us. Keep on moving on down the block. This isn't the place you want to eat.

I had a fantastic time at SpacyCloud in Washington, DC for my birthday on June 23, 2023! The music was on point, and the customer service was top-notch. It made my special day even more memorable. #GreatMusic #AmazingService #

I was hanging out in Adams Morgan last night and I decided to stop at Spacycloud for dinner and drinks. The vegan food was excellent and the atmosphere was quirky and fun. When I go out I like to find unique places to hang out and not boring corporate business. I really enjoyed it and I will definitely be coming back in the future.

An old house has been converted to a restaurant and the food does not disappoint. However, there is no one to seat you or ask questions about menu items and ingredients to. Everything is ordered through your phone on toast tab and then the one employee brings out the food. Great food and very low wait time after ordering.

Pros: Good food, cool atmosphere, semi-friendly people Cons: Poor service, poor management, and incredibly pricey I have come here a number of times and have always really enjoyed the food. The last two times I went I was on my way home from a workout class very hungry and eager to eat. I asked how long it would take for my order and was told 15 minutes (both times). On both occasions, I waited for 45 minutes. Whatever, it's a small business and they do their best. Still frustrating. There are also a few little things I wouldn't generally dwell on but they've really added up. We were given no napkins, an incredibly sticky cup, and waited much longer than you really should have to at a pretty slow time, never given water, etc. I went today and was very excited. I called once they were open for about 30 minutes and no answer. No big deal, I thought I would just walk there. I did receive a call back to place my order which was nice. I specifically ordered an item because of the sauce that comes with it. So once I arrived I asked for an extra thing of sauce like I always do. They did not include it. I know mistakes happen but I paid $38 for my entree and a side of fries. For that price point, better attention to detail should be paid. I am disappointed because the sauce makes the meal. Really disappointed and turned off to this place now. I have really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and have always raved about this underground restaurant that nobody seems to know about. I've recommended it to countless people at work, at get-togethers, etc. But unfortunately, I no longer will eat here.

Fun atmosphere, good food. It's always fun to have a vegan restaurant, and this one, specializing in borscht and dumplings and mushroom dishes -- love it!

We had an awesome meal there with our family. Loved the potato and mushroom dumplings. And they made a special homemade lemonade for my daughter that was delicious. We are not even vegan but will definitely go again.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved the food and the cool funky atmosphere.

First, this place is NOT fully vegan (even though it's listed as vegan here on the app). At the moment, they have at least one cocktail (Marxist Coffee) made with DAIRY condensed milk and at least one cocktail made with HONEY (I believe it was called Strawberry Brew). Second, you order at the table via your phone. This is fine, as long as you have a smart phone, BUT the offerings seem to differ depending on whether you have an iPhone or an Android. The person I was with had and Android, and for them many dishes were shown as "out of stock," while I have an iPhone and was able to order those dishes without a problem. This also means that you won't see a waiter unless they're delivering your food, so you have to track them down if you want salt or an extra napkin or something. The inside is small and stuffy (why no AC in the summer? DC summers are very muggy). And their online menu is not up to date, so don't get your heart set on something until you get there. They also served my drink in a glass (made of glass) that had a crack in, which seems unsafe. The food was fairly tasty, though a bit on the dryer side and some of the dishes seem overpriced for what you get (like the Pelmeni). The best tasting dish was the Peasant Potatoes. You can get them as an appetizer or as a side with a burger. I would get the BLT and potatoes again, but not sure about the other dishes I tried.

So much culture and energy here! The food is a little pricy but overall everything is awesome. Unique vegan food we haven't found anywhere else.

I love vegan restaurants (one of my all time favorite restaurants is Apteka in Pittsburgh... a must visit!) and was excited to try this cool space in DC. The interior is super cool and feels more like a place to hang than a restaurant--in the best way. The food was quite expensive and not quite up to par. My BLT was harmed by an insufficient amount of vegan bacon, a stale bun, and very few potatoes on the side. The yucca fries were good but bland. The peasant potatoes are good but no better than diner potatoes. The service was not particularly prompt, which added to the lackluster atmosphere. Vegan restaurants are great, but this one left me wanting more.
