“I'm a home ice cream chef that makes a LOT of ice cream, usually a few batches per week. And so whenever I travel for work, I like to hit up a bunch of ice cream shops both for new ideas and to also see how well that my secret ice cream making companions are doing.Typically I'll grab a mint chip ice cream, since it's a simple flavor that does a good job of highlighting whether the ingredients are high quality or not. But I saw the Grapefruit Brulee pint on the menu and knew I had to grab it.WOW am I glad I did because it was one of the best flavors of ice cream I have ever had. Really wish I had this recipe for this one because it was so danged good. Whoever at Happy Ice Cream reads this, major kudos to the chef who came up with this flavor. So very very good.The only real downside is that they only sell pints in the winter, which is way more than I should probably buy for myself. That said, the staff was super nice and fun to chat with, and they loaded me up with extra spoons to bring back to my hotel room.“
“It is located in the museum area, very useful for a lunch break between one visit and another. I like the fact that the sandwich is served to you broken down, you sit down, unwrap the packets and stuff it for yourself. Traveling abroad is also this.“
“My husband had been here for lunch and found it excellent (if a little pricey) so we gave it a shot for Valentine's day dinner. the food was wonderful as was the service. Everything was delightful and we are putting this on our list of restaurants!“
“This place was a lot of fun. I was a little worried because my husband and I are in our forties and I thought we might feel out of place. But no -- we had a very good time playing minigolf, our drinks server was great, my drink (can't remember the name of it, but it included Hennessy and a flower garnish) was tasty, and I won a free cookie by getting a hole-in-one at the end, which really made my night! Everyone around us seemed to be having a great time as well. The staff did a good job pacing people so you didn't feel rushed by someone else waiting for their turn. The only thing I wished had been different was that it felt like it went very quickly, and I would have loved an option to upgrade and do the second course. But if my only problem with the place was that I wanted MORE time there, that's a good thing. I probably could have opted for that when I bought my tickets, if I hadn't been unsure of whether it would be worth it. Great aesthetics and design, good staff, good volume level (there's music but you don't have to shout for your partner/friend to hear you), fun place all around. I'd definitely go back!“
