The portion sizes SHRANK! Basically robbery to charge so much for so little food.

Delicious meal. Delectable, flavorful and simply an amazing combination of different textures. Will do again when I’m back in

It’s not tasty. Like I am *really* disappointed with this tasteless mess. Because why can’t I taste ANY flavors.Go back to the drawing board and do not disrespect Chinese cuisine like this. Also the pickled carrot and daikon is soooooo bad - it tastes like pickled dishwasher. I feel like it may make others sick if consumed.Thank you.

I've gotten takeout from here a bunch and it's always delicious. My favorites are the Cambodian noodle salad and shrimp dumplings (as delicious as from Maketto but closer).

I wanted to love the noodles I ordered, but this was hands down one of the worst meals I've ever had. Ever. There were some nice noodles but there was so much soupy oil it was almost vomit-inducing. After trying a few bites, I tossed the whole thing. I don't enjoy writing such a negative review but wouldn't want others to suffer the same misery.

Got the Mushroom Curry Buns and Black Bean and Coconut Rice Noodles. The buns weren't memorable and the sauce tasted like mayo and mustard sweetened and mixed together. Not a fan. But those noodles...wow. Spicy, lots of different textures, phenomenal flavor. Would eat it every day if it had some chicken/meat in it!

Wanted to like it - but the food was unmemorable. The place has a bit of a Food Court vibe. Complicated App - obligatory to order/pay/tip from it. Odd to tip BEFORE you actually get any service.

I ordered the Black Bean and Coconut rice noodles. What in the heck, guys. There are no black beans. You threw in green beans instead. Whimsical switch-up, but not what I ordered. There are cucumbers in the item description. You know what else isn't in the bowl? Cucumbers. This is a bowl of mush. It's the consistency of porridge. It's like that Patton Oswald joke about a failure pile in a sadness bowl. That's what you gave me. Thumbs down.

I was super excited to try the Yoko & Kota at the Roost after seeing video on tiktok! We tried all three of their specialty noodles since they were vegetarian friendly and all looked SO GOOD! We ordered the Peanut and Citrus Chili Oil Rice Noodles, Tomato and Sesame Rice Noodles, Black Bean and Coconut Rice Noodles. The presentation on all three was absolutely amazing, however they were all a little underwhelming. My favorite of the three Was the Black Bean & Coconut Rice Noodles simply because it had the most amount of flavor. The peanut sauce really carried the Peanut and Citrus Chili Oil Rice Noodles to second place. And the Tomato and Sesame Rice Noodles seemed to just have something lacking. They're worth the try, but probably won't be ordering them again due to the lack of flavor. Other than that, you have to order via the Roost ordering service which was a little confusing to figure out, but their is staff around the entire food hall to help! But pretty much, you find any open seat and scan the QR code associated with that seat. From there you can order and pay for all your food right from the site. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

I was really look forward to great noodles. Ordered the peanut Chili noodles for takeout. The entire bowl of them were mush. Like the noodles were gelled together and had no structure to them. It was like eating a mouthful of gelled flour. Which is really unfortunate because the flavor of the sauce was nice. Really wish these had been better since other spots in the Roost are a home run every time. Will not eat again, would not recommend.

Nawl. This ain't it. Ordered the peanut chili noodles bc I figured, how could this go wrong? Spoiler alert: it went wrong. After I had placed my order, I realized this place didn't even have a wok station. Fml! I'm a HUGE Asian food connoisseur, and I appreciate good wok hei (wok char) on my fried rice and fresh noodle dishes. Because this place has no wok station, the wok hei flavor is obviously impossible to impart upon the food. The noodles were cooked in a sauté pan using a silicon spatula (??????) so of course it was lackluster. The noodles had little to no flavor, and there is no chili/chili oil flavor-- I could've done better at home with my own wok. In fact, I have in the past. In sum, if you love wok-fried Asian food like I do, do not waste your time here. You will be pissed and out like $15.

Yoko and Kota serves dumplings, make-your-own noodle bowls, and Chinese BBQ specials. They have good variety of options to choose from. I had the pork wontons and they were spicer than I expected but good. The dumpling servings are small and ideal for an appetizer.

Yoko and Kota is a good Asian option at The Roost and for the neighborhood. From the dumpling section, I tried the Pork Wontons and the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings. I really liked the Pork Wontons. They had a slight kick (I like spicy) and the sauce they were in was great. Definitely would try them again. I'm not a huge seafood fan so didn't love the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings. The fish sauce was a bit too overpowering for me. I also tried the Tomatoe and Sesame Rice Noodles entree. It was tasty. I'm more of a rice person but the flat noodles were good. This was my first time at The Roost. The experience was 4 star. Thanks to Hannah, Joe, and Daniel for such great service. I really liked the idea. For dine in, have a seat, scan the code which is unique to the table, and order away. I especially liked the idea of being able to order from several different restaurants and menus and have it delivered to my table. I understand from Hannah that the site used for the menu and ordering is a work in progress. They have several improvements in the works. Looking forward to returning. I feel a pizza order in my very near future.
