Drinks were very strong, but the flavor profiles were disappointing. Sushi was underwhelming and included ingredients (such as cucumber) that were not listed on the menu. The tuna nigiri was phenomenal! Our server was friendly but busy.

An excellent Friday happy hour with friends! We had delicious drinks for only $7 and then split 4 rolls that were all so fresh and delicious. The zeppelin roll and the Kobuki Springs cocktail were my favorite. Lovely service and outdoor patio which was the perfect start to our evening.
Excelllent food and service. We got to the restaurant around 9:15 pm, sat in the bar area and were greeted by a server covering the bar area and outside. We ordered miso soup, cod, and sushi and the food was very good and fresh. It was a bit loud in the area in which we sat but not unpleasant.
The atmosphere at the time that I went was perfect for a late night date. The staff and team were extremely attentive and courteous as my friend and I celebrated a huge accomplishment.

Zepplin is our favorite sushi restaurant in DC and just one of our favorite rest. period. The staff is always great, super familiar with their sushi, and very attentive, even when the restaurant is full. The outdoor seating is great and creates a little bit of a cocoon on the relatively quiet corner of Shaw.
Really good sushi. Staff was accommodating as we asked to switch tables away from the high top. Brother's girlfriends first time getting sushi and everything was approachable. Will be going back

Zeppelin is always a good experience when craving sushi. Tucked away in Shaw, it is far more neighborhood-y than many other DC sushi establishments, which in my opinion is always a good thing. The prices are high, but not unreasonable, the food and drinks are always good and the vibe is always on point. Be sure to get a reservation if you want a seat, as it does fill up fast, but if you’re comfortable eating at the bar you may be able to snag a seat there without a reservation.

Absolutely delightful dinner at Zeppelin. Had the black miso cod, two maki rolls, wagyu beef nigiri, and the beef spring rolls. Everything was wonderful - highly recommend the miso cod.
This is the only casual-ish sushi place I go in dc now. Super high quality sushi, great service and vibes.

A mother was present whose kids were throwing things all over the place. For the price you pay, it would be nice to have a quiet, more intimate area for those seeking such.

Karaoke is a hot mess. You have to log into their server and no one manages it, so a few people got up 3-4 times in a row when there were many others logged in. Has potential but needs work. If you are going to charge extra for karaoke, it needs to work.

Amazingly fresh sushi, even the ginger was wonderful! The Chesapeake roll was as good as it sounded (with different ingredients you don’t get everywhere). Knowing how fresh the fish is, I might try nigiri next time. This was also one of the few sushi places in DC to be open past 10pm on a Sunday!
