“Upon arriving in the city of brotherly love and in need for a place to unwind, I reached out to noted tastemaker Ron from Delco. He suggested I head to Hangman Brewery if I was up for a little drive. Apparently this was Kevin Hayes's favorite spot until they stopped serving Mountain Dew Code Red. Well, Hangman did not disappoint! Immediately I was greeted by a dog (nice) and the unmistakable vibes that are only accompanied by live music. Things only got better as I visited the food truck for some sliders and pickles that can only be described as "quite good." The shining star of the visit was the robust selection of beers which also earn the designation of "quite good." Hangman earned a stamp of approval from Ron from Delco and I'm happy to say it has earned mine as well.“
“I was excited to visit Scout for the first time on Monday and LOVED its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu has some wonderful and interesting selections -the sandwiches especially are not something you would find at another café around here. I tried the grilled cheese and added grilled chicken. It was like no other grilled cheese I've ever had, and it is by far the best sandwich I've ever had anywhere (not exaggerating- I had to hold myself back from going to get another one the next day). “We had a wonderful experience working with Tess and OsoSweet Bakery! My friend and I ran the Tough Mudder held a few miles away, and thought it would be fun to celebrate our success with a sweet treat. We ordered 6 custom cupcakes (and two scones, because who doesn't love a scone?!) and got a prompt and lovely response from Tess - she even made two different frosting flavors for us since we couldn't choose On the day we were due to pick up our order, we were running late and Tess assured us we could come after closing to grab our sweets. Come to find that in addition to the TM decoration we'd asked for, she also decorated some of our cupcakes with the TM logo to differentiate between the frosting flavors. And the scones are huge! Everything was delicious and the perfect way to end our race. Plus the shop is ADORABLE! We were sad we didn't have more time to visit and hang out there! Thank you again, Tess!“

“I met up with a friend here on a Sunday afternoon. I never had mead before so we both were very interested in experiencing a new taste. First, the place has a very cool and interesting mix of antiques and vintage decorations. There is a cabinet with all kinds of bottles, collectables about Wilmington, DE brewing history....which I loved! Great atmosphere. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. We did a flight of mead drinks which were very interesting to taste and experience. We wound up enjoying the cider that they brew. Im not a big cider guy guy but, it had a great burst of flavor and was delicious. Deep Routed cider was our favorite. They had a food truck there as well. We just had drinks but, it looked like a hip food truck.Overall I would definitely recommend trying this place. The drinks were very refreshing and super tasty. The owner was on site and very informative. He is definitely passionate about his mead and cider production. It shows when you drink his products. I have been back and you can grab a growler to go and they give you back reward bucks too. Great unique place definitely worthy to check out. It has a nice coutyard outdoor space which looks very inviting come springtime.“

“This place was good. The tasting room with large seating area (both indoor and outdoor) was nice. The wine and food were excellent. Only criticism is that when wine is purchased by the glass, it is pricey and the pours are way too small (see photo below), you’re better off buying a whole bottle.“

“As someone who loves dessert, I wanted to have something extra for our wedding. I also thought the idea of a food truck at a wedding was a lot of fun. I came across Gotta Lotta Gelata. My now-husband and I went to try some flavors with Petra and brought a few pints home, which disappeared pretty quickly. Having the Gotta Lotta Gelata truck come to our wedding was definitely a highlight. Everyone loved it and it helped make our wedding memorable. Petra is great to work with as well!“
“We took visiting family to dine here. They enjoyed it. The food was excellent and the drinks were top shelf. But be prepared for a timely visit. Getting food to the table took awhile even though it wasn't crowded the night we went. So really good food, nice place but do it when you have time.“

“This past September my fiancé and I decided to finally head over to this cute quaint cafe around the corner from our new home. We hear the live music often, and see people having a great time and decided to give it a go for my 35th birthday. Food was great, band was playing decent music, it did not disappoint. The only issue was our server wasn’t as attentive as they could have been. Not sure if they thought we weren’t going to spend much or tip well or what. We would have stayed longer had the service been a little better. Overall nice atmosphere, seasonal fresh menu, live music. It was a nice birthday dinner. Only giving 4 stars as I felt we wouldn’t have had to flag down their not busy server for a drink or anything else we needed. This is also why we haven’t back as it made us feel very out of place. I hope to check out their current menu soon though and reporting back. I work in the service industry and not every day am I 100%. So I’ll give it another go. ?“
“My friend and I came across this lovely winery while out and about for New Year’s Eve (2024). We snagged a seat at the bar. Andrew was a great server, Very friendly and personable. I would like to come back for their cuisine, however they have an array of a wine list! I tried a few from dry to sweet and processed to ask questions, they’re extremely knowledgeable and proceeded to even look for an ice wine for me just by mentioning it. so far my favorite would be the house rosé. (and I don’t usually like the dryer side). Thank you for this experience, I am looking forward to many more and happy new year!“

“Very chill atmosphere. The service by the time we sat til we left was superb. The margaritas were good! I ate all my food cause it was that good. I would definitely recommend. Not sure why we waited so long to try this place. Dylan ( hope I spelled it right) was great! Great recommendations and kept checking on us. Will be back and might actually ask for him next time cause he was awesome. Hard to find good service at restaurants and he didn't let us down.“
“Great beer!! Cool building. Unfortunately, the bartender was blatantly cold, rude, and off-putting. Yikes! Made me feel super unwelcome, despite me trying to be very nice and smiley. I even attempted to strike up friendly conversation. I said “thank you” to him about a dozen times and never got a response.. at all. Zilch. Laughably rude. Notably, it was a very slow night, so it wasn't like he was busy.I drove 30 minutes to try this place while in town, and left feeling disappointed and self conscious. Wishing this very cool brewery the best. All they need is better bartending. It’s sad to see a bad-mood employee tarnishing the presentation of their hard work. “Went there with four of my grandchildren on the first day of Spring. The line was long for free water ice, but the help handled it really well. We came at 4 PM which may have been close to the height of the mania. I was amazed we were able to find parking in the back. They were even willing to give us a mixture of two water ices on the free day.“

The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere pleasant. We think it is important to support the local economy and Toscana's has served the local community successfully for many years.There is one point of constructive feedback that we would like to offer. As a take-out item, the gelato I believe is not served authentically. Toscana's appears to be serving gelato as if it is the same as ice cream. An ice cream scooper is being used instead of a specific gelato utensil. This impacts the serving amount and the way it is presented.“

I go to the law school next door and for the last couple of years, Home Base has been our haven, sanctuary, excitement, party, drink-our-sorrows-space, and celebration space. You can watch live games, play your own games, sing songs, win trivia, dance, eat, or sit back and relax. The food is excellent, the drink variety is off the charts, and the staff - who I’ve forced to be my best friends - are always so kind. “The place has a really warm, neighborhood pub feel to it. It’s the only local place I’ve found that can make a Guinness black & black. While the food there is good, the Irish options are limited. You can never go wrong with the big pretzel and the fish & chips. Both the French Onion and crab bisque soups are very good as are the pizzas. Prices are reasonable, service is good, and portions sizes are filling.“

“BBC hosted our monthly Ladies Luncheon. There were 37 of us and everyone agreed that it was fantastic! Victoria was our waitress and she accommodated us above and beyond. Kudos also to Ashley for working with us in the early stages of our planning Orders were taken, food was out in less than 15 min, first served to last served was less than 12 min. She was on top of the drink refills, food getting to the right table, clearing as people finished AND we were able to do individual checks, which ran very smoothly. The food was delicious! Many of us had never been there, and many of us will definitely be back!!“

“The food is absolutely wonderful. I have eaten here five times. I have chosen a different menu item each time and all of my food was excellent. The salmon cheese steak with tiny bits of broccoli was sublime, sounds odd but was fantastic. The service is casual walk up style but attentive. The decor is funky, mod looking, making the best of a renovated former gas station. Summertime is best with the outdoor patio and live music.“
