We LOVED El Maguey. We had chicken nachos that were loaded & shrimp tacos! We were also brought a beet salad to try. The food was excellent, the owner was extremely personal. Quiet unlike Borders. We will be back and hope others try it.

Food was delish! Homemade chips, excellent guacamole. Mole sauce was off the charts! Staff and chef all very friendly!! Only thing missing was a good margarita, hopefully they’ll get their liquor license!

Delicious, flavorful food from chips to churros. The shrimp, Mahi Mahi and pork dishes were all savory, beautifully prepared and filling. The staff was attentive and chef Jesus personally greeted us and followed up with us for our experience. Great place!

I see some "Mexicans" complaining about the authenticity of this restaurant but I would just like to remind them and others that there are many many states in Mexico and every state cooks traditional dishes differently. This restaurant is not going for the stereotypical street food restaurant, which is perfectly acceptable as the food is absolutely great.

El Maguey is under new management, and the food is fire!!! Bold- bright flavors and grand portions for the price. Caesar is an attentive bilingual server. Staff is excellent and friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you happen to be in the area.

I didn't like it because this restaurant doesn't have tacos and a Mexican restaurant must have tacos. Also this restaurant doesn't have sopes. The chef prepared the sopes, but I didn't like them because sopes aren't like that. I'm sorry but I'm a Mexican from Mexico and those sopes weren't sopes. The other thing that bothered me a lot what the waitress because he was asking me every 5 minutes if everything was ok. It's better the other maguey restaurant that is 15 minutes away.
